Canyon View Cares Layton, Utah

This seems like a fine place. I have a vet I prefer, but we needed a puppy to see a vet urgently, and mine was booked. Canyon view had availability that day and could see him quickly. They grabbed my info and set up an account in under two minutes, and gave the pup a full check during the appt. Pricing is very reasonable and comparable to my own vet. They heavily suggested we neuter once he's fully grown, and emailed me some additional info around neutering and umbilical hernias.

DONT TAKE YOUR PET HERE!! this place is not good they are after your money!! They will diagnose your dog with diseases and treate your pet for that disease without having the results. They are very good at taking your mo ey.. its a scam and they should be reported and closed down!!!

I absolutely recommend them for care and grooming. I had my three pups groomed today and they have never looked better!!

I have been to the Layton location in the past to get my dog groomed and have been very pleased. This last visit not so much. I took my husky in because she needed a bath and to be deshedded. I was told an up-front price and left her with them. Upon pick up I was told that she was giving them a hard time and was being aggressive and that we were not allowed back there with her unless we medicated her a couple hours before, then were charged a $20 “handling” fee because of her behavior and difficulty. This is a fee I feel like should be at least brought up to the customer beforehand. Also, if she was being that difficult and aggressive they should’ve called me, and I would have gone and picked her up. My dog has always kind of been nervous going to places like this and have been told that she gets a little bit nippy and nervous but never aggressive to this extent. Regardless, whether or not my dog is allowed back here they lost my service.

I have been coming to Canyon View Cares for a couple of years now and I have been very happy with their services. The vets my pups have seen have taken the time to listen and have always been kind to them. When we found out our schnauzer had cancer, the vet was very kind and tender. My brother in law is a vet in Spanish Fork but I choose to come here for convenience and because I know they will receive as good of care as taking them to my brother in law. As far as grooming, Jordan does an amazing job with my golden doodle. Whether I have her trim her long for winter or have her cut it short for summer, she always looks great! I recommend Canyon View Care’s. ????????

My last experience with this clinic WAS BAD! it was a simple grooming for my cats. However, they charged me for exam visit to one of my cats. Reason: Their policy. They haven't see my Kitty before. I told the receptionist another veterinarian is taken care of it. She replied; Sorry ma'am you have to pay that. I told her they DIDN'T mention those charges when sign in for grooming. If they would, I will know at least and will decide. She still get stuck on the charges and to pay her. Period! I've never had any problem with this clinic until that day. NOT sympathy whatsoever from receptionists They are not prepared to handle these type of situation. No professionalism with these new staff in the veterinary field (high school students look). Because of my last experience, they lost me as a client!

I always bring kitty here for the best care. Everyone is so patient and caring. I love that you feel listened to and that the staff and doctors are doing everything they can and always being informative and communicative. Thanks guys!

Went for the first time with our new puppy. Because of Covid they came and got her from the car, then the vet came out afterward to talk about things. Very professional, knowledgeable, and efficient.

Awful experiences all 3 times visiting.. especially if you have a big dog. They don’t even want big dogs. Also WAY overpriced for awful service. Do your loved one a favor and go anywhere else for grooming and vet.

My dog went to the groomers and they said there was something wrong i needed to get him to a vet. My regular couldnt get us in for a month so i called clear view and they told me to drop him off and they would look at him when the dr had time. Within a hour they called back with the results. They were very helpful and i plan on using them from now on.

This has been our vet for two years for our two dogs. They are patient and kind - always! Once my dog had her paw caught and they ran out immediately to help and get her paw free. Another time my dog was so excited to see us he peed a little on the vet tech as they brought him out. They laughed it off and said not to worry about the floor. Vets always take a moment to sit with my dogs and get their love before performing any exam- always makes me feel better going (especially since they bring out the treats!) if I ever have a quick question before to determine if I should actually make a trip (especially during COVID19) they are always happy to take a moment and answer and give an honest answer and what to keep an eye on- always appreciate that. recommend highly and to friends in the area!

EDIT: the clinic contacted me about my experience and seemed to actually care. They were very kind and professional. This review was a 4 star, but with they're awesome costumer service, I changed it to a 5! Thanks Canyon View Cares! It was my first time going to this vet. I have to admit, I LOVED Cody(the vet). He really covered everything that I wanted to cover and he was kind. He was so sweet to my fur babies. I appreciated him and his work. However, Haley(at front desk) was completely terrible. If I was to only base my experience off of her service, I would not go back. She needs to be retrained or something. But I am going to base my experience off of Cody and i'll be returning.

I always have Mary groom my Labradoodle. She does a excellent job! It’s also super nice to have his vaccinations and grooming done all in one appointment!

Love the pet care and the veterinarians that work here. 5 stars for the veterinarians. Decided to try their grooming and am very displeased. (0 stars for their grooming) Asked for a wash and cut. My dog has long hair and was in desperate need of a grooming. He still had tangles in his hair when he came home. And the cut was horrible! Didn't even look like they cut the long parts and shaved other parts down too low. Now my dog has a scab from the shaving being too close to his skin. The only reason I let my dog go here was because my usually groomer was out of town, now I'll have to get him groomed again! Will not be going back for groomings here.

I called for a quick question, they were very rude. They said they’d need an appointment, for a question... I’ll keep my business away from them. They care, about the money in their pockets.

Love this place. Very clean office. Friendly, professional, caring staff. The grooming is fantastic. When we lost our cat they gave us support and helped us make arrangements to take care of her. Offer lots of options. Couldn't ask for better vets.

I have always had 100% amazing experiences here but today topped it off. Bailey went above and beyond to answer my questions and get my dog the help he needed. She and Shay, I believe that was her name, had great suggestions to keep my dog calm and how to better equip him for public outings. (Struggles with people he doesnt know.) I love canyon view cares, and the entire staff they have. Thanks for calming my nerves and making this such a positive experience.

I took my Benny (Bengal cat) over there about several months ago for routine labs and x-ray/checkup. I was very impressed with the service, and the doctor was very thorough and made sure I understood everything well before I left. The facility is clean and the staff is very friendly. I did have to wait a while but that's always to be expected in clinical environments. Overall I was very happy!

Had a grumpy tom cat. The vet tech and vet were very kind and professional people. They put the cat and us at ease. I would highly recommend them!

What a rip off! Went here because I had a coupon for $20 off services (including vaccines) and ended up paying more than what I would have at my regular vets office. I only went here because my vet wouldn't accept competitor coupons and I was trying to save some costs. I will never go back and be aware that they up charge to account for coupons.

They are always so kind and professional. I am always impressed with how clean it is. I can't see a reason why we wouldn't bring our dog here for his entire life.

We were out of town when Canyon View Cares called me to let me know our Pomeranian had wandered off from his doggy sitter and someone brought him in. Thank goodness he had a chip! So they called me right away. They were so good to our dog while he was waiting to be picked up. They even brushed him and trimmed his nails! Thank you! Will definitely bring our pup here when we need a vet.

Mary is the groomer at this location and she is amazing! I won’t trust anyone else to cut my sweet dogs hair. She is truly so kind and caring about the animals she grooms. And she always does a fantastic job! We love Mary!

Great office and staff! We took our dog to get neutered and they did a great job. We liked them so much that we scheduled a grooming appointment for as soon as our dog was healed.

Been taking both our dogs here since they were 8 week pups. Dr. Akagi and staff are great! However, we tried to save some money and buy generic Heartgard online and this vet clinic doesn't allow that and will not give you a prescription. They prefer you to buy Heartgard directly from them at a higher cost. We switched vets to the one in Farmington since we constantly had to deal with upselling from Dr. Faerber. It's too bad. The location for this vet clinic was close and convenient and we will miss the wonderful and helpful staff. Edit: I also forgot to mention, we still take our pups to the groomer. She is the best in the area! Highly recommended. We won't go anywhere else for grooming.
