For a vet they are OK the best thing is there pet vet membership you pay so much a month get a visit and unlimited 24/7 access to chat with a vet. I've had many times I'm freaking out because something has happened to my ????. Chat and make sure it's not life threatening and move on!! Also you get your first visit free! So if you have something major you need done or is an emergency get your coupon off their website and take your dog in you will get the $40 for the visit deducted from your total cost !!! It helps trust me!!

I really like the care we received at Banfield. I like the fact that you can see a Vet at any location in the USA if you travel a lot. I took off 1 star because they need help. It always takes more than a week to get in lately!

They are always so great with our pup and make sure I understand what's going on with him. Appointments are quick and if I need to drop him off and come back later they are great with those too.

Almost immediately after our first visit with both our dogs, and purchasing the preventative care plan (mid grade), one of our dogs experienced a vestibular disease episode. The best way I can describe this is that it's like a human stroke, which is what I thought she had experienced, or an adverse reaction to the very expensive Galliprant prescribed at her visit (for arthritis). Of course this happened Sunday evening. I was really upset that there were no after hours vets available, but I guess that is how most vet clinics work now. They refer you to Blue Pearl (which was closed), or what we discovered online, VCA Cottonwood Animal Hospital. We rushed her up there at 10 p.m. to be treated, for what we didn't know. Finally, after a couple of hours of waiting, the doc told us what she had, and delivered a solemn prognosis. She didn't think she had a chance of recovery, and even suggested we put her down right then and there. They hadn't even made her calm and comfortable, or given her much needed fluids, like I had requested. It wasn't until right before we left that they IV'd her and gave her some meds. My 18 yr old son and I decided to get a second opinion. On Monday I called Banfield and spoke with Dr. Hatton. He was very reassuring and gave me some additional care tips, which I proceeded to implement. He told me that most dogs recover from vestibular disease, within 7-10 days, although some may have a slight head tilt for life. I brought her in on Tuesday morning because I wanted Dr. Hatton to examine her, and thought she could use some IV fluids. They kept her there for the rest of the day. When I came to pick her up around 6 p.m., they were very optimistic of her full recovery. They had a little goody bag ready for me to take home with more trazodone (anti anxiety), and had suggested I pick up some dramamine, (a much less expensive route, and just as effective for nausea and dizziness). That combo did the trick for her recovery. They had even hand fed her slurry. I could tell they really cared, and had taken wonderful care of her. Like Dr. Hatton had said, it was rough those first few days, but by day 10 she was almost fully recovered. She is walking around, eating & drinking unassisted, going up and down stairs. Every day she improves a little more. It's been nearly two weeks and we are so happy that she is doing so well, and is pretty much back to normal, no head tilt even. I think she received better care, and for half the money than I had spent at the after hours clinic. We are very pleased. Even our finicky old chi loves the staff there, which is incredible.

I really like banefield but I feel like they do the bare minimum unless you do all the work. Scheduling appointments and being on top of your pets care. My pet profile online says my pet is up to date on all shots bit has several recommended shots that should be given but aren't. H2/H3. The other thing is paying for dental. They say they will call and schedule these but they really just wait for the pets 6 month appointment to just do everything in one go. Even if it forces longer than needed in-between time on dental cleaning. They just seem a little lazy. Good care. Sweet people. But you need to do a lot of work to really keep your pet 100%

$100 later, after they told us our rabbit had no problems, we went to a vet in Payson. She told us her back was fractured!!! Had we listened to Banfield, in another day, we would've had to put her to sleep. Stay away

We love banfield for our little dogs! They really take good care of them. They are so busy though you need to schedule things very far in advance.

I took my dog there for surgery. They seemed to have done a good job but the clinic is dirty. Every time I have been there I don't even want to sit down bc it seems dirty. My dog reeks after being there all day. It makes me imagine they made her lay in a dirty pen all day and they are pricey.

I was very happy with their prices. My cat ripped one of her claws out and it got very infected. I took her here and they were very great to work at! They called me after doing the check-up to make sure I knew what was wrong and what they planned on doing before they did it. Once I have my approval, they treated her quickly and I was able to pick her up! They sent her home with everything we needed to help her get feeling better. The only thing I disliked was that I wasn't able to get in for about a week.

The service here has always been great for me. I usually see Dr. Hatton and he always does a great job and is patient. I have never felt like he was trying to rush me out the door.

Im honestly debating on switching to Banfield !!! Thanks for seeing Jack yesterday. I really loved our experience I cut the vet off when she offered us that package deal I kinda wish I wasn't impatient and listened. I would recommend taking your pet here its reasonably priced aswell.

The service is great at american fork banfield. I haven't had the same great experience at other ones. But banfield prices in general are way too high. And the coverage on the puppy plan is a joke.

They did not notice that my cat had a fever!! Less than a week later and $1700 later my cat had and absces that had eaten through his jaw and into his face. Thank you to the vet listed in the photo that saved his life!!!

Decent place to get care for your pet. A bit out of the way, but the employees are good enough to make up for that. Waits can be long, but not too bad. Prices are in line with the standard. Parking is a bit limited. Egress is not too bad.

We just love Banfield!! Their staff is so nice and always so good with our pups!! When our pup wasn't feeling well, they were able to get us in right away and take great care of our furry kid! Thanks Banfield for loving our pups and taking great care of them!

I usually go to the Orem location but when I called in they didn't have an appointment for over a week & when I told them about my dog they were worried & wanted me to get in sooner so they told me to call the American Fork location. I called and they had an available appointment within two days for drop off. When I called they day of my appointment to ask about how drop off worked because I had never done it before they told me that I didn't have an appointment and they had no record of me calling. They said that they couldn't get me in and that they weren't accepting new pets right now. So unprofessional and not reliable whatsoever. Banfield is a joke of an animal hospital.
