We had our Boxer Lucy visit here. She had a laceration and this Vet took great care of Lucy . They were very clear and concise with diagnosis and with aftercare and follow up. Overall a great experience and Lucy was happy .

We are new to Fischer, Tx, and live just a hop and skip from Wimberley! We had a 16 year old dachshund that in a short time started getting sick! I reached out to the Wimberley veterinarian clinic on the weekend with hopes we could get our Allie in to be examined on Monday! Well, the clinic reached out right away on Monday and I explained more of our Allies symptoms! Due to covid they were only doing curb side pickup and that we could bring Allie and they would work her in! Well, we did and they had her 1st evaluation in the first 30 minutes & it was obvious Allie was having heart complications. Dr. Ferguson came out and spoke with us and a plan was in place to get X-Rays and labs completed so we could determine just where we stood with a better diagnosis! We were advised to go home and they would call us when tests were completed and Dr. Ferguson could go over them! We discussed on the way home what we might have to decide on doing and prayed for a good diagnoses but if not we could except that too! When we were called back to talk to Dr. Ferguson, she explained everything in terms we could identify with and was very compassionate! We knew she wanted us to make the final decision and we knew Allie was ready! She was in kidney and heart failure and we knew due to her age and just how sick she really was it was in her best interest to let her go! We said our tearful goodbyes and my husband stayed with her til the end! We also decided to have her cremated and that will be nice for remembering Allie. We thank Dr. Ferguson and the girls in the office in which their names escape me, for their professional caring and loving attitudes! Their job must be hard sometimes! Thanks again Wimberley Vet!

Everyone here does a great job. My pets have always been well cared for, and I feel like they offer me a range of solutions, but I never feel pressured to give my pets care that I don’t feel they need (extra shots, tests, etc.)

Had an excellent experience. The vet tech and Dr. were very friendly and helpful in explaining the exam process and the treatment plan for our geriatric dog. They genuinely care about their furry patients! I would highly recommend their services.

I am only giving Wemberly veterinary clinic three stars because they employ a veterinarian who is sadly in adequate. It is not Dr. Mike Sheffield has been there forever and owns the practice and it’s excellent. It is Dr. DeVries. I would highly recommend you not use her. She is actually a liability.She’s mostly classroom technique and will do lots of tests and spend most of her time talking instead of actually doing something that helps the animal. Anyway that was my experience and three others.

I absolutely love this place. I first came 3 years ago with my little hamster and they treated him with so much respect and kindness. I loved that they valued his little life as much as I did. At the time I was a broke college student so they were so kind and worked with the little money that I had to treat him. After this I brought my Pomeranian and she was treated so kindly as well. And finally, last year my pet ferret had an emergency at an hour in which they were closed. They never treated my ferret before yet I called them and they immediately passed me over to the vet to talk to me over the phone on after hours, then she recommended a veterinarian that was open at the moment and that were specialized in ferrets incase his situation got worse. Overall this place is by far the best clinic I've been too and I can recommend it over and over. I live in San Marcos but I will always drive to Wimberley for this clinic

Like other families, our "BUBBA" is an essential part of our family. It's SO wonderful to know that we have the vets at Wimberley Veterinary Clinic as his doctors! They are each one amazing and care so much about the animals they treat. Thank you to all at WVC!

We've used Wimberley Vet for years for our dogs and cats. Their expertise has become more valuable as our pets age and have challenges. We love and are thankful for going above and beyond on many occasions.

I have been taking my pets to Wimberley Veterinary Clinic for over 15 years. They have always been amazing. Even during these crazy times they are managing to stay professional and personal.

I just moved to Wimberly and was looking for a Veterinary Clinic .I researched online and saw the high ratings for Wimberly Veterinary and decided to give them a try.They were absolutely wonderful.They were very friendly and took good care of my 2 dogs.

We are very happy with our recent experiences at the clinic. Both pets were due for their annual exams awhile back, and we all had our first visit here at that time. Since then, we’ve been back for other care. Our pets are consistently treated with gentle, skillful efficiency; the staff is friendly, welcoming and professional. Who could ask for more? Recently, we had to board both pets on short notice; it was their first stay and was for multiple nights. Both came home acting “normal,” which may sound weird, but it tells us the experience was acceptable from pets’ viewpoints.

I wasn't able to take my fur baby, but they were more than willing to help with questions and recommendations!

I cannot say enough good things about this staff and clinic. Yesterday, I called in asking for an urgent appointment to examine our 12 year old lab who was hurting from an ear and eye infection. Fully expecting them to turn us away since we aren't locals and can't offer any repeat business, instead they squeezed us in and urgently assisted. Dr. Sheffield called me while Harley was there to run through the tests conducted and medicines being prescribed. We picked Harley up a few hours later looking like a new dog. Doesn't end there. 8pm that night, I get a call from Dr. Sheffield checking in on Harley to make sure he was ok. You don't get service or care like this often and I can't thank Dr. Sheffield and his staff enough for their welcoming and supportive demeanor. We have a 15 year old terrier mix .Angel developed a skin cancer on the top of her ear.It grew then started bleeding other vet I had wouldn’t touch it . Wimberley vet clinic dealt with the problem and used a laser to seal the wound.A lot of other vets don’t have this tool. My dogs ear healed perfectly. The crew at Wimberley Veterinary Clinic did an awesome job taking care of my dog when she hurt her foot. Very response and professional, and the rates were very reasonable. I highly recommend Wimberley Veterinary Clinic if you are in our around the Wimberley area.

The ONLY reason I didnt give 5 stars is their billing. Prices are high. They charge for every thing possible. BUT the docs and staff ate AMAZING. The care is AMAZING.

Dr. Sheffield was extremely professional, and very caring for our dog. We had an emergency situation and he was able to squeeze her in on a busy day and perform emergency surgery to get her back into our arms and healthy in no time at all. Ella Blue starts whimpering & wagging her tail in excitement everytime we pull into Wimberley Veterinary Clinic parking lot! Ideally we go every 6 months because she is healthy. This past April Dr. Defries confirmed our suspicions that our girl had the start of arthritis. We discussed recommendations & prevention supplements. We have been coming here ever since we moved to Wimberley 6 years ago. Ella is 7 years old, soon to be 8. Our Chesapeake Bay Retriever positive attitude is a testament to all the staff at Wimberley Vet Clinic. Their ability to engage our pup socially while greeting her, taking her back for labs and in exam room is a positive, friendly & professional experience. There are times in other social settings she will be aloof. Ella has definite opinions of what is going on and expresses it by doing the famous Chessie roo rooing, whining, barking, groaning, sighing etc.. WVC is extremely responsive to our calls, requests for appointments, questions and assisting us filing our pet insurance claims. Dr. Defries has been a great addition to the team. She is personable and we even once discussed places to take our dogs swimming in the area rivers, lakes and streams.

This vet clinic provides excellent customer service and care for our dogs. I have especially appreciated their safety protocols during the pandemic. I’m in a high-risk category for COVID 19 so the care and attention they take of us when picking up and dropping off our animals is much appreciated and needed. They require facemasks, they require us to stay in our cars while they come out to greet us and pick up our animals. This makes me feel like they care about the community as much or more than just making money as a business. Thank you to the doctors and staff at Wimberley vet clinic for setting an excellent example of Human care as well as pet care! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
