Staff excellent with both our dogs.

My boy always seems so happy and fulfilled when I pick him up from here. And he is always excited to go back. They've had no problems with all of his medications.

It's nice place my pet love it I see how good they're she feels like home she's so excited when we're here at Kickapoo Ranch all personal It's so friendly and professional.

I boarded my 4 month old puppy (Nicky). Upon arrival the staff was great! Nicky got out of his leash and began to run around in front of the property before I could get him in to the building. Panicked, I chased after him - what I didn’t know as Nicky and I played chase was that the staff was ready and waiting for us! They immediately jumped in gear, opened the front door and called to Nicky to come inside for which he did (why didn’t I think of that)- lol. We were welcomed with open arms! Nicky had a great time. The staff took real good care of him. We are going back to explore the training opportunities for puppies.

My dogs were there this weekend and had a wonderful time. The place is absolutely beautiful. I won’t bring my dogs anywhere else. I drive all the way from the Houston area for my dogs to enjoy.

If you care about your pets, do not bring them to Kickapoo Ranch Resort. We signed up our 8 month old Boxer puppies for lodge and train. The staff was very unorganized, never sent us our requested updates and when we picked them up, my puppies were obviously mistreated. They had the pick-up date wrong too. The head trainer Chris didn't know Betty's name. He stumbled on her name, "Betty, right?" He was supposed to train them for 2 weeks and didn't know her name?! He didn't know which e-collar belonged to which dog. When he brought out Bruce to show us what he learned, Bruce was scared, shaking, red eyes and coughing. He asked one of the female staff members when he started to cough, and she was grinning and said, 'I don't know, maybe yesterday." We were upset and worried at that point. The puppies were supposed to be in a separate room during their stay as promised at booking. They were kenneled on the same side as the other dogs in open link cages like puppy jail. The staff didn't care and the trainer got defensive. After we got our other dog, my husband left the building and I stayed in to pay and gather the rest of our belongings. I had to keep asking the staff to get the rest of my belongings. None of them knew where all of our things were. Unorganized! The general manger didn't know how much the agreed upon price for the Lodge and Stay was. I had to tell him. He offered me a 12% off discount for our troubles. On my way out, the trainer said, 'well, I guess I am getting a bad review". Not "I hope Bruce is ok. Sorry." Nothing! Bruce was violently coughing and we rushed him to the vet. He had Kennel Cough and passed it on to Betty. It's been a terrifying experience because we know they were not properly trained and taken care of like we thought they would for 15 days and a lot of money. Both Betty and Bruce lost weight. 4 - 6 lbs. Betty puts her ears back when we call her and Bruce can't follow any commands from training. This facility is a huge façade. I sent communication requests while we were on vacation through email and messenger. After 2 days of waiting, I was lucky to get a response from the staff or trainer. I do not recommend this place unless you don't care about your pets.

Love the New Manager. The staff is so welcoming and always takes care of our dogs. When we get there and open the door, our dogs run in and don’t look back, they have a blast. Highly recommend.

Just picked up my dog from Kickapoo and the training was amazing. My dog is completely different and well behaved.Chris is an awesome trainer, highly recommend. The resort is absolutely beautiful. I would recommended Kickapoo Ranch Pet Resort to everyone.

Although this is a really nice looking place, the prices are completely outrageous for what they offer. There is a $20 difference in the regular dog runs from the "luxury" and the only difference in those is a glass, door, a chandelier and a TV. Other than that, it's the same concrete floor, same kind of bed, and nothing else that warrants such an increase in the price. Unless you want your dog to stay in the dog run with just the basic walk to relieve themselves EVERYTHING ELSE IS EXTRA CHARGE. You'd have to had more money than sense to board here. Reply To you: You guys when right for the wallet. You didn't say prices started at 32.95. You didn't give me a range of any price. You just when straight for the wallet like I'm not all familiar with boarding a dog. Sorry, this is not the place for me.

Kickapoo Ranch under there new management is awesome! When I went there first, I got to meet the new GM (Scott), and the front desk gal showed me around. I love the set up. The new direction they're heading in is exciting to see. Thank you for understanding, they are amazing.

I never have to worry about how my dog is doing, which is a great relief for me! I know he's getting the best care by people who really love what they do. The abundance of activities, and the facilities themselves are incredible. I wouldn't take my dog anywhere else.

Great staff and worth the 45min drive from uptown to drop the dog off! I wish they would get there live cams fixed for the dog suites

Our experience with Jason and Kickapoo Ranch was excellent. We boarded our Lab for 3 weeks while he trained her. Each Saturday, I would travel to Kickapoo Ranch to work with Jason and our dog...time very well spent. My husband and I were very impressed with Jason's philosophy about dog training and the results to date have been worth every cent. The facility was pristine and all of the staff cordial, professional and knowledgeable. This was our first experience with Kickapoo Ranch and Jason's dog training. We look forward to returning for boarding, as well as any needed training updates.

Our 10 month old (EXTREMELY high energy) lab was with Kickapoo for 3 weeks of board and train. Jason did an AMAZING job with her. Though she was bred as a field trial dog, she is “just” a family pet and her high energy without discipline was keeping her in trouble. Jason had us come in and work with her during training, so that not only were we able to see her progress, but he was able to coach (and correct) us on working with her. We are ecstatic with the discipline instilled in her and she has transitioned very well upon her return home.

My dog (Shepherd) can be a handful but she loves her visits and staff here handle her so well. She is extra excited and they never have issues with her on walks or play time. Best of all they can wash a de-shed (LOVE THIS) before we pick her up.

The owners are very passionate and do a wonderful job. We are very pleased with how much they were able to help us with our dog.

Checking in and out was a breeze, and my dogs came home happy, healthy, and clean. They were obviously loved. And the property is a mecca for dogs --- trees, wide-open spaces, trails, and ponds! If the weather doesn't permit outdoor shenanigans, then they have a doggy "gym" inside. This property is huge and dog-centric... I can't imagine a pup getting bored at this place. If you have doubts, then take a tour. It's super cool. Yes, okay, it's a bit of a drive from the center of Houston --- but it is so worth it. I will never kennel my pups at an inner city, cinder block, dog motel again. This is our spot!!

Great place! Beautiful! It’s like a luxurious ranch in the country. Loving people who take amazing care of your pet and lots of room for your dog to run. I highly recommend this place!

Professional Staff, Clean Environment and Gorgeous Facility. They took very good care of our geriatric dogs.

We have been long-time clients of Kickapoo Ranch Pet Resort. This is by far the nicest and cleanest facility we have seen anywhere. The new owners, Jason and Dianna, provide outstanding customer service and have remarkably improved the Kickapoo experience. Our golden retriever trained there for 3 weeks in October, and the results have been outstanding. Jason and Dianna are very experienced professional dog trainers and conducted several on-site training sessions with us so that we were educated on how to handle our dog at home. Bottom Line: We trust Jason and Dianna and the Kickapoo staff with our beloved golden. We don’t have to worry. Our golden has a great time and is well taken care of each and every time. Kickapoo is our exclusive boarding facility, and we are so thankful to have it in the Houston area.

Very nice people who care greatly about their customers experience. Highly recommend Kickapoo to everyone. I’m sure our girls can’t wait to go back.

We have been long-time Kickapoo clients. The former owners trained each of our 3 pups - 2 labs and a golden - and we have loved sending them to such a beautiful spot when we have been out of town. We were a bit nervous because of the new ownership and after the change we actually tried a different kennel where we had a very negative experience (one dog came back with a bite mark and one had a limp) before going back to Kickapoo. The new Kickapoo owners have our complete confidence. Our pups have boarded there twice over the past couple of months and they are so excited when we turn off of 290. They are clean, fluffy, and healthy at pick up. The facility continues to be immaculate and the property is well maintained. No place better near Houston as far as we are concerned.

We love Kickapoo and with the new ownership our dogs love kickapoo even more!!! I loved being able to check on their Facebook and social media pages to see updates on our dogs having the time of their lives. They were so well behaved and happy when they came home too. The new owner Jason is very knowledgeable and has been very kind in giving his time to answer questions that we’ve had about how to best train our Weimaraner. The entire staff at Kickapoo is lovely and we highly recommend this beautiful retreat for your animals! 10 Stars!

This facility is so clean. I took my dog for an overnight and then a full groom. She looks fantastic and seemed very happy. Will definitely go back.

We boarded our 3 dogs at Kickapoo Ranch for a week while we were on vacation. Late in our trip, a medical emergency (having nothing to do with Kickapoo) arose for one of our dogs. Kickapoo staff members promptly went into action to protect our dog. They called me immediately to advise of the situation and took our dog to an extremely capable veterinarian in their area. The vet then called to advise that his examination revealed the problem was more severe than had been readily apparent, and that a surgeon was needed. The Kickapoo owners then transported our dog across town to the surgeon, brought him back to their home to provide personal care to him in isolation for 2 days until we could get back home, and also transported him to and from the surgeon’s office for a follow up exam. Our dog could not have received better attention and care than what Kickapoo provided. The owners got personally involved immediately, kept us informed every step of the way, selected an excellent vet near their facility for initial care, and tended to our dog as if he had been their own. I cannot imagine anything more that they could have done to care for our dog during a crisis. If you are looking for a place to board your pet that will extend the ultimate level of personal care, Kickapoo Ranch is the place for your pet.

I had some trepidation about bringing my two dogs to Kickapoo with the ownership change. I am glad I went ahead and boarded them recently. They afford all the same services including grooming. My dogs were well cared for. Staff was familiar and extremely helpful and enthusiastic about seeing my dogs. I would very much recommend and encourage folks to throw their support behind these new owners. You will not be disappointed.
