The place needs a little attention!!

This place needs to have been shut down long ago. Inhuman conditions for their animals, putrid smell throughout. Today, where the low is 22 degrees, their dogs are left outside all night. I literally walked in one time in the middle of the winter and there was a pile of newly born pups covered in fleas in the room with all the birds. I’ve talked to many Waco natives about this place, and every time the phrase “I can’t believe that place is still around” is shared with me.

Have lot of exotics animals you never know what you'll see in there.

So we bought a hedgehog from this place. We read the reviews we were skeptical but they were also a good price. They gave us all the information to take care of our little one. He was a present for my son. So they said to make sure my sons scent was on something in the cage. We made sure to handle the hedgehog with whatever we used for my son's scent. We left a t-shirt in the cage. He still hissed at us and was scared. But low and behold the first night he gets to my son he doesn't hiss he gets scared my son didn't want to pick him up not use to something so small. But once the hedgehog is in my sons hands he does get scared or hiss at all. He is looking around more and licks my sons hand. If you have your doubts about this place. Don't. They told us stories and things to beware of. They give you a dose and do not page to study to take care of your hedgehog. So pleased with the outcome of today. This made my sons year and day. Very friendly people here we bought a couple of Degus from them was only a little sad that they didn't have anything extremely exotic other than the prairie dogs. Also I was sad that they are closing soon

I wish I had walked around before my purchase, and hadn't given this store any of my business. I recently moved to the area and was looking for somewhere to buy feeders for my reptiles. I happened to be close by so thought I would stop in. I walked in, asked for 2 frozen rats and supeworms and paid. Checkout lady wasn't super friendly, but whatever. I'm not always either. My daughter wanted to look around, so we did, and this store is absolutely abysmal. Prairie dogs and "mini" pigs in crowded enclosures. The reptile part was worse. Fruit flies and house flies everywhere, lethargic animals, improper husbandry, disgusting water bowls, disgusting turtle water, just the most pathetic excuse of a reptile store I have ever seen. I also overhead an employee tell customers that it's alright for people to purchase their turtles and just let them go in the wild when they lose interest. I noticed on their Facebook page that they are closing, and that is a big relief. Who knows what shady business has gone on here, especially with the sign near the door prohibiting photography and videos.

Why do most of the animals look half dead especially the hedgehogs and rabbits

Ramp to entrance is not ADA compliant nor the area for the reptiles. Overwhelmingly bad odor that slaps you in the face as you come inside. Owner/manager had two small dogs unleashed that barked at us as we came in and scared my daughter. Animal enclosures were inaccessible to see clearly. Bad experience all around. Not a wheelchair friendly place.

We take our Persian cat to Debbie at Critters to get groomed... She does an AMAZING job!!

I’ve bought several of my babies here! ball pythons and bearded dragons! super friendly, helpful, and educational staff and the animals are so well taken care of! definitely worth a trip if you’re from outta town! ????

As a store owner myself, I know that times are tuff but you still have to take care of your customers

I LOVE coming here!!! My finances and all don't but I love coming in and looking at all the pets they have as well as getting mice for my snake. They also help me along the way sometimes with him on what types of feed and such I aught to get size wise, as well they also helped me to ensure it is in fact a male.

Staff is very nice and extremely knowledgeable. Cricket card makes it easy to just walk in and get what I need for my leo.

Worst looking pet store I have EVER been into. Small dirty cages, animals looking very unhealthy. I have 23 pets at my house, mostly reptiles. Found a tarantula in a plastic box with molts and dead crickets. Almost bought all the leopard geckos just to rescue them from the place. My wife and family were pretty much floored. NEVER BUY AN ANIMAL FROM HERE.

I would like to thank you for putting the slithering animal that I am highly afraid of away before I came into your store. My husband went in first and made sure he knew where not to let me go, or let me look. He asked and the employees kindly put it away for me. Thank you ❤️. As soon as we finish getting it set up we will be back to get get our special pet.

Enclosures were dirty, store smells terrible, and there were field mice running around the store and inside the cages.

If I could post 0 stars I would in a heart beat!!!! BE AWARE OF THIS SCAM OF A BUSINESS. We bought a coatimundi in January, paid in FULL. A week later we realized it probably wasn’t the best decision for our family, we had done our research thoroughly before hand but we came to this decision after which is our fault . They had told us they would need to find a breeder for the hybrid we were wanting.... so it would be 2+ months until they had one for us... we called to try and get a refund or even a partial refund ( given that it was somewhat my fault for backing out) to be fair. We never signed any contract, we were never given a specific date or even month for the animal, we were never told no refunds, until it was shown on the receipt.They have avoided us, and completely given us the run around. At this point I do not believe we will ever receive the coatimundi we paid for or the $1200+ we spent there. You would think since they did not even have a breeder with babies ready for us, there would be no loss, no gain right? Very Wrong. This is Not the way to do business, no wonder they have such a reputation as they do.looks like we will be taking them to court.

Don't take care of their animals. They had a bird so stressed he was shaking and his crest had fallen out. Buying from stores like this encourages them to stay in business, so just don't. edit: social media and photos aren't allowed because the photos shared online are FAKE!! Do not go!

They have this little tank in the front when you walk in with baby turtles and they are so cute 10/10 on that note, but they have alot of cute and wonderful selections of exotic animals ????❤

I really enjoyed stopping by this shop. The people behind the counter were very friendly and willing to answer any questions me and my kids had. They had some really nice animals to include some exotic ones that you dont see at a normal ol pet store. They also had some LARGE versions of animals which made it easy to see and look at. It has a good feel to it and kind of like walking through a small zoo. My kids had a great time and talked about the animals all the way home. Even though I hardly spent anything they were still happy to help us (unlike some other small shops). Yall have a new repeat customer as I will be back and will now come here first for my pet needs.
