Dog Stars Grooming & More Universal City, Texas

I have used this groomer before & yes they are good the issue is they are unreliable & unprofessional. We had an appointment for this past week my husband gets there with our dog to find the attached note on the door. We did not get a call to reschedule or a call letting us know they were closing on the day of our appointment. My husband lost time at work to drop our dog off & this note was what he found. Lost time, lost money & handled very unprofessionally w/no call. Not a happy customer at all.

We have a small Chiweenee thats HATES her feet touched and they are very patient with her. We won't take our dogs anywhere else.

Karen is the best groomer for our dog. She requires to be hand stripped and Karen has her looking like a show dog. Thank you very much for being our groomer Karen.

Ask for Sean for nail clipping or bathing. He's great with the dogs and people too.

We came in for a walk in nail trim and they were great the African American gentleman is so sweet and takes such care of our pups! $10 for nail trim and walk ins after 11am

Absolutely amazing! The staff was super sweet to my baby, Cali, and she immediately took to them! They took the time to get a brief background and even asked if she had any triggers. They did an awesome job grooming, bathing, and cutting her nails! We will definitely be returning! I 150% reccomend!!!

Today I went to Dog Stars Grooming & More to get my dog's nails trimmed. They offered walk-in for this service. This was the first time I've ever been to this dog grooming facility. The place was clean and the staff was friendly. Although the nail trim service provided was prompt and reasonably priced, the groomer hit the quicks in 2 of her nails. I was not informed of this by the groomer and found out when I noticed the blood spots in her car bed following the nail trim. I examined her nails and noticed the blood on the tip of 2 of her nails. My dog was so traumatized, she spit up upon leaving the facility. I will NEVER go to this grooming facility again. This particular groomer is not well trained on nail trims and harmed my dog in the process. Also, it's inexcusable and very unprofessional to not inform me of the incident. It was a very upsetting experience.

UPDATE: Still AWESOME! My dog is still going to Dog Star Grooming and looking beautiful. Brittany gives the best cut and Sean provides the gentlest care. I can’t thank you enough. AWESOME! More importantly than my fur baby looking great, Brittany handled her and myself so well. Having severe anxiety this is the first time I’ve ever left my dog anywhere. The entire staff was very reassuring to both of us. We’re definitely going back. Thanks Brittany and staff.
