Very friendly staff, the vet actually did a physical exam of my dog when we brought him in for a new patient exam, no other vet I've ever been to has done this. Also no masks required!!

Melissa was amazing! Our dog is a pretty anxious and needs to be sedated to have any work done. Melissa made us feel at ease and helped make the experience as stress free as possible for us, Pepper, and the other vet techs and Dr. Ramsey. Dr. Ramsey was also great! Very informative and understanding. My husband and I have moved to Lindale since our last appointment but we will continue driving back to South Tyler Animal Clinic because of how amazing everyone is!

We have taken our pets there for three years. Had they doctors and staff not performed as expected, we would have not returned.

I have never in my life seen another vet charge the way this one does. Have had MULTIPLE people and friends completely taken advantage of at this vet. It is so terrible to prey on people just trying to do the best for their fur babies. Recently had a very good friend of mine tell me she was charged around $350 for a yearly check up and vaccines. I about jumped out of my chair. At my vet, that costs less than $75. When I asked her to show me her receipt, she told me exact words "they never give me an itemized receipt". If that's not a huge red flag, I don't know what is.

I do not recommend having your pets groomed by Josey. We dropped off our Labradoodle and picked up a Rat. Then were charged $250 to shave him. Josey is rude and unprofessional. The whole experience is ridiculous. If you’re looking for a Groomer she is not the person.

Dr. Ramsey was wonderful to give his time to go through the process of using laparoscopic surgery vs traditional when spaying our dog. His kindness and knowledge is unparalleled. I feel so blessed to have a professional vet to take care of our pups!

If you want the best treatment for your fur child, DO NOT TAKE THEM HERE. I am posting this as a concerned fur parent talking to other fur parents. PLEASE READ THIS if you are considering making an appointment at this clinic. I took my boy kitty who was less than a year old at the time to this clinic about a year ago due to him becoming lethargic and seeming to feel in pain. After an ultrasound, x-rays, blood tests, different medicines, an overnight stay at an animal hospital, and several thousand dollars, this clinic was still CLUELESS as to what was wrong with my baby boy. Finally, we decided to just take him home. A few weeks later, we had him neutered, and while we were there the vet noticed that he had a recessed testicle lodged in his abdomen. THAT vet took care of the problem immediately and told us how lucky we were that he was still alive, as this can be life threatening. Someone tell me how it is that a clinic can do Ultrasounds, x-rays, blood tests, prescribe rounds of medication, and still NOT KNOW that my cat has a LIFE THREATENING condition. The only thing we got out of this clinic a vet telling us he could have leukemia or any number of other conditions. Oh yeah, and did I mention THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS THAT HELPED NOTHING AT ALL. DO NOT go to this clinic IF YOU WANT THE BEST THING FOR YOUR FUR CHILD. THIS CLINIC WILL NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO and they WILL NOT HELP YOUR FUR CHILD. Your money will be better spent getting your baby treatment ANYWHERE BUT HERE.

All of the vets are great but, I will always have a special place in my heart for Dr. Davies. She was incredibly compassionate with my complicated French Bulldog. If she didn't know the answer, she never hesitated to consult specialists. I always knew he was getting the best care available. Jodi, in the office, is one of the sweetest people you will ever meet. Even her voice on the phone is enough to brighten your day.

UPDATE: Within 24 hours of posting the following review and exchanging some polite emails with Dr. Davies, STAC told us "we feel it would be beneficial for both you and Sir Brooks if you sought the services of another veterinarian". This response drops my rating down to to one star! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We've been using STAC for over two years and this is the first significant issue we've had with their service. Here are the answers I gave to their survey question about how they could have done better.. 1. Sending a report of the exam findings and written treatment plan for treating Sir Brooks' heartworms. 2. Having the proper dosage of medicine in stock OR having us come back the next day OR discussing other options (giving an eighth of a tab is doable). 3. Not scheduling Brooks' first melarsomine injection TWO MONTHS later than what is recommended by the American Heartworm Society. p.s. I should have added... 4. Please fix your entrance way so that it isn't so deep a valley--my poor Miata can barely make it into your lot!

Dr. Ramsey is our family vet - and when we say family, we mean family! A total of 10 of our pets between us, my mother in law, and grandmother in law have been under Dr. Ramsey’s care and we would not have it any other way. The office staff is so sweet and caring, and our experience at this clinic is always 5 stars.

Is zero stars possible? These people killed my dog! If your trying to get a procedure done here, don't. My 4 year old perfectly healthy English bulldog ate a stuffed toy and we had to have it removed. My regular vet said they could open him up and get it OR have it scoped. We elected to have the less invasive procedure done and they referred us here. During the procedure pressure was put on a nerve that stopped his heart. With tools and a scope and trying to pull the toy up was a problem. The surgery would have avoided all of this pressure on the nerve. I think any vet worth their salt would know and at least inform the owners of the risk of this but not the case. And the kicker was that I was on a business trip and on the phone with my wife when the lady called my wife in stating they were ready for her. She did this in the most chipper voice tone like everything was right in the world but instead informed my wife my dog was dead. Incompetent at best. This review is four weeks after he was killed. I've had time to process this so this isn't a rash vengeance review. It's simple. The risk was there. This risk is with all dogs apparently since we have now checked with multiple, reputable bulldog vets as we are very active in the bulldog community. My wife should have been informed of this risk and discussed. We would have chosen another method. The vet here should have known this risk exists and turned down the procedure and defaulted us back to surgery. I can't state enough that I have called several other vets who work on Bulldogs and they would never have done this procedure on an English Bulldog. I don't know how these people sleep at night!

Dr. Ramsey has very kind hands. He seemed to really care that my critter herd (2 dogs and a cat) had a good experience. This was my initial visit to him. He explained each thing he learned my my pets as he conducted the exam. It was a visit to the vet but he made it a great visit. Highly recommend South Tyler Animal Clinic and Dr. Ramsey.

My little rescue girl is high energy and high strung. I took her to Josie for grooming and she did such a good job. Even though Miss Ellie is a pistol, Josie let her come back for a repeat performance six weeks later. Thank you Josie, for your kindness and patience.
