Caring Vet and staff. Loving care for my dogs. All questions answered fully. Took time needed without being rushed. Waited in truck until Vet was available. Minimal contact with others.

We were down visiting family and our fur baby got out and unfortunately got hit by a vehicle. (he did make it) Brought him to them and they were very good with my fur baby. Their prices are also very reasonable and staff is friendly!

This place has more business than they need. I called them at least three different times to try to make an appointment and was instead strongly recommend to just come in as a walk in. When we arrived with my daughter's service dog to be seen for a simple rash we were charged a $100 deposit (just because this was our first time) and asked to go sit in the car to wait for our name to be called. The front desk staff didn't smile once at us and weren't very friendly. Almost 1 and a half hours later we were still waiting. No one once gave us any idea of how long the wait would be nor did they apologize for the wait until I explained I wanted my deposit back. Very unimpressed. We will take our business out of the Forney/Terrell area to Rockwall and other nearby larger cities. Don't waste your time or money here.

This was my first time at this vet and will be my new go-to. I was so worried about my dog being in pain and having to wait for an appointment days later but the staff and veterinarian were so empathetic getting me in within the first 5 minutes of me being there and taking care of my dog. If you're anything like me and your pets are family you really want a reliable cost-effective vet that treats you with respect and treats your pets like more than just animals. I appreciate them so so much for their care and big hearts, the fair pricing puts them that much more ahead of any other vet in this area. Thank you Dr. Kerri McMahon!

We came in for walk in after calling multiple times asking if we could make an appointment and being told we should walk in. The person at the front desk wasn't very welcoming and as a first time customer we had to make a $100 deposit so we did and we were told to go back to our car and wait for someone to come get us we ended up waiting almost 2hrs before we went back in and got our money back.

My wife and I used Risinger for the first time this week. We will continue supporting their team. We had our 5 year old dogs teeth cleaned; from start to finish the process was extremely easy. We brought our pup in for a pre op exam to examine the teeth and yesterday we dropped her off at 8:30AM and picked her up at 5:00PM. While it was nerve racking having our pup gone all day, it is much needed for the recovery after being "under". When we picked our pup up, you would've never known she had been under for the procedure. The ladies at the counter were awesome to deal with from the get go, my wife called 5+ vets around the Forney, Rockwall, Terrell, Kaufman are seeing who would provide the best service and bang for your buck. The team at Risinger won us over from the get go, simply by being personable over the phone thoroughly explaining the process. If you are calling Risinger, be prepared to be on hold as they are constantly slammed. Great service comes with a slammed schedule; be patient - if the girls say they will call you back, they most definitely will. We have already scheduled our other dogs cleaning with Risenger. Highly recommend, don't waste your time calling anywhere else. Simply good people here.

My baby was sick and the staff was so understanding and wanted to make him better. They called and said he needed another day in the clinic. Then when they found out I needed to be on a payment plan they threw him out like yesterdays trash. The woman was so rude to me she didn't greet me I asked if he had eaten she was short told me I don't know. I didn't get an update for the day and she walked away from the counter. I just stood there because I had no idea that they were done talking to me. The very worst experience i have ever had.

I'm giving 3 stars because I like Dr. Megan but I really do not like the front desk staff. Called to make an appointment last week and was told they were booked up but that I could walk in. No mention of certain walk in times. I came at 1 and was told I had to wait until 2. So I sat in my car for an hour. Let them know I was still here just before 2 and I am now currently still waiting at 2:20 for a room to open even though I keep seeing other people get checked in that got here after me. I somehow feel like this is on purpose because I wasn't happy about waiting another hour when someone should have told me over the phone what walk in hours were. Just rude front desk overall. May be finding a new vet. Monday's are my only days off to do any of these kinds of things and it's disappointing when you have to spend half of your day waiting just so your dog can get their vaccines.

Eek. In spite of all the glowing stars here, avoid this veterinary hospital if you're told your dog needs surgery. Get a second opinion! This doctor told my mother her dog absolutely needed surgery for a tooth extraction. So, as long as the dog needed surgery, mother asked them to administer an allergy shot (as long as she was under, to clean the dog's teeth,) etc--small things that would normally make the dog nervous. This dog is a country dog, frolics on the ranch and has never been in a cage and is beloved by my mom. When my mom went to pick up the dog, they gave her a $500 bill and said they didn't extract the tooth after all because after they put the dog under and took the x-ray, they saw that the purple tooth wasn't cracked enough to merit coming out yet and they wanted to avoid stitches and antibiotics. Good news? Not really. The poor dog will have to eventually go back to get the dying tooth extracted, and the doctor will charge $$ again for the same procedure. Yep! That means they essentially gave an allergy shot and cleaned the dog's teeth for $500. Didn't ask my mother during the surgery if she wanted the tooth extracted anyway (because it will have to come out at some point--it's doomed). Then the vet gave excuses about why the dog had to be under anesthesia to get the xray (not true--vets routinely takes xrays of large animals by giving them a shot for a quick sleep) and speaking to my mother as though she doesn't have decades of past experience with good veterinary practices. The vet smirked at my mother when she said she wouldn't be using this clinic again. Remember, the vet charged my mother $500 for a "necessary" surgery that turned out to be a mistaken diagnosis--the bill would have been hundreds less for a simple allergy shot. Look, y'all: we all love our vets who save our sweet pets' lives. And veterinarian doctors are the heroes of our planet. But sometimes they make poor decisions that leave owners with huge bills to pay and then refuse to think critically about their own actions and ethics. That's the case with this vet. Keep my mother's experience in mind if you're told your pet needs any surgical procedure; get a second opinion. And be mentally prepared to pay for the vet's mistaken assumptions about your pet's health.

I am so grateful for Risinger. My old boy fell sick with Lymphoma and declined rapidly. The staff at Risinger was so informative, patient and very attentive. They helped my baby cross the rainbow bridge when it got to be too much for him with such empathy and care. RIP Jack ????
