River North Small Animal Hospital Stephenville, Texas

After seeking a vet that was able to care for my fur baby when all other vet clinics were full or just wasn't very helpful (even after calling my own vet). They were concerned and able to help my fur baby when no one else seemed to be interested. They really took care of me and my fur baby.

Dr Herrington and her staff are absolutely amazing!! Very thorough in examining our dog and got an emergency referral that was needed. Highly recommend for your small animal veterinarian services!!

I was in Stephenville visiting. And had concerns about my yorkie. And came across River North Animal clinic. And was quite taken back by the “”OWNER “ responses on the reviews! Was totally baffled. On how condescending and disrespectful and how unprofessional the owner writes back to his customers or future customers. These is not the WAY!! To respond back!! I’m actually taken back by the owner behavior and responses. These isn’t good with people from out of town. I definitely wouldn’t take my animal to your clinic. Especially reading how bad you are with your reviews.

I made the mistake of taking my puppy to this wannabe high end place. They seem to tend to the rich only. I left there with a very sour taste in my mouth. The young girl was sweet but then another woman came out and spoke to me and was telling me to get my puppy all the way to Husdon Oaks, in other words to get the animal far way from them. Knowing the puppy was in need of help and that is their job to help they just turned us away. I just do not understand that someone wants to be a vet but have certain standards on what animal they want to help. But i was able to take my puppy to an other vet here in town and now my puppy is getting the right help that she needed and she is going to be ok no thanks to this distasteful place. If I could give zero stars I would. If you want your animal to live dont take it to them unless your driving a 100,000 dollar ride from what it seems like. The sad thing is that everyone in town was mentioning this vet hospital and giving great feed back and they did not stand up to those expectations.

Would not recommend to anyone that loves their pet. A friend worked here and during surgery saw them using old packing for a new surgery along with many other unsanitary things. I’m afraid that I would have to give ZERO stars if I could. Please beware!

Our small dog had a skin condition that we could not get under control. We'd been elsewhere and had been given instructions. Nothing worked and our dog was getting worse, really terrible condition. We came in for 'second opinion' and were given a very different course of action (very opposite what we'd been told to do elsewhere) one that worked and healed our dog. Ultimately, we're migrating our pets over to this clinic, as they are IMO expert. I tend to think it may be due in part to their focus on (as the name of business suggests) small animals. Even beyond their being able to actually FIX our problem, which really is the aim, they are so skilled and experienced handling animals. Not just the excellent doctor, but the excellent people who work alongside her. For another example, we brought our Border Collie in, and he is a bit challenging. He's very protective, he just has a stand-offish personality to anybody he doesn't know. All the socializing we did when he was young wasn't enough to change that. Long-story shorter, they handled him like they're dog-whisperers. He likes them now (and he likes almost nobody). I'm so glad I went for that 'second opinion' and found this wonderful doctor and her equally fantastic staff.

The staff of River North Small Animal Hospital has been absolutely amazing! I couldn’t have asked for better people to take care of my fur baby. This is the first dog I’ve had on my own since I moved away from home and I was a bit nervous but I know if I ever have questions or concerns regarding my puppy River North will be there for me and Ryder! I absolutely love this clinic and everyone there and I’ll continue to take all of my pets there!

I don’t use this vet anymore because I moved a few hours away from Stephenville. This vet is the best I have ever used! They took such good care of my cat and were always available to see her and would call to make sure I was keeping up to date on vaccinations! Amazing! 6 stars!

Great service from vet and all the staff - best vet in town. My sweet Bella even referred her boxer friend BJ and her kitty friend Charlie. Bella loves to go to the vet which makes this momma happy.

The staff there is amazing!

Dr. Herrington saved our GSPs life a few years ago. She was our primary vet up until we moved. She is absolutely amazing.

This clinic gets it!!! They know how to take care of their patients and their patients' owners. From appointment setting, to arrival with pets, to cleanliness of facilities, to professionalism and personality of staff, to knowledge of clinicians - they are top notch all around. I highly recommend Dr. H and her team. My pets are in good hands with them.

I've only gone here twice since I moved here, but I have to say that the staff is incredible. I couldn't have asked for another great vet clinic for my sweet baby Lily. The care and love they show her and I is outstanding, appreciated, and reciprocated. Today I was having a very hard time and they were so helpful and kind to me. Thank you all so much for caring about not only the animals you care for, but the humans who accompany them too. I will forever reccomend this vet clinic to anyone and everyone who has a furry family member they want taken care of and loved properly.

I've only been once, with only one of my animals, but they were wonderful, with my dog and with me. They never made me feel judged or lacking in my care for my dog, they listened and asked questions and offered suggestions; for instance, suggesting alternatives to arthritis care to what I'm currently doing, without making out that what I'm doing is wrong.

I have been taking my dog (Bella) to Dr. Harrington since she was a puppy. They also have boarding and they take good care of Bella when I'm away for trips and can't take her with me. The treats and the scarfs are a nice touch.

River North Small Animal Clinic has been taking care of our furry friends ever since we moved here, almost 23 years ago! You could not ask for better care! Make the call and find out for yourselves what special care your pets will receive.

The best vet in the county. Dr. H cared and the nurses cared a lot for my cat and gave him good care. The doctor even gave us her cell in case of emergencies. Will be going back regularly.

Best animal hospital, Dr. Harrington is the most amazing vet I have ever felt with. She explained every single thing done or to be done. Great staff, 100% recommend
