I understand a business not wanting to get stuck with a large bill from an animal emergency but when I have called ahead to inform you that I am coming in with my dog that is literally on deaths door in the back of my car and you won’t send some one out to the parking lot to help get him inside and start treatment before I hand you a deposit there’s something wrong there. How would you even know what amount to charge me since you have no idea what’s going on because he’s semiconscious and struggling to breathe while the staff demand money. My husband got some one to come out and help me while he stayed inside. We paid, all 2,000 of it for less than 24hrs of care and while I hold no ill will towards the vet that helped us at all and in the end he couldn’t be saved and we had to say good bye, the whole situation was awful from the start. I don’t plan on bringing any of my other animals back to this clinic. They have so many names on the door it’s impossible to afford even the basic care there anymore. Unless you absolutely need a specialist for your animal I wouldn’t bother with this place unless you just like to throw away money and like feeling like your pets life and possible last minutes on this planet aren’t worth waiting for a credit card.

If you have a critter that you love dearly, this is where you want them taken care of! Great doctors and auxiliary staff. They truly do care. Always available, no matter what!

If you need a specialist for your pet this is the place to go. Our dog has a rare blood disease and Dr. Foret and staff didn't hesitate to take him on. Their swift response to our local vet and myself from the first phone call and I knew we chose the right place. Thank you for everything you've done!

This is a place that really loves their patients and makes sure their patient's families are very informed on what their fur babies need.

The most AMAZING staff I've ever met at a veterinary clinic! The nurse could see I was distraught about my cat and brought the vet BACK in to talk with me some more and further explain in greater detail, just to ease my mind about her condition. In addition, the tests she needed added up to an amount that my fixed income (disability) would not cover. They worked with me to get my baby treated and not leave me broke, and never made me feel anything other than valued. My baby is going to be just fine! ????

The UVH family treated me and my precious Ben with so much compassion and kindness during our end of life care today. Every aspect of my experience was treated with such care and sensitivity. It started with the kind associated that received my frazzled calls that I made that allowed us to seek treatment without an appointment, followed by the 2 young strong gentleman that promptly greeted me at arrival and gently carried in my 110 pound senior boxer from my car, to the sweet girl that held the door, followed by the friendly associated that offered me treats to give him during our final moments together. Dr. Gregorio demonstrated such patience and kindness as my sweet dog took his final breath. Thank you UVH team for providing me with nothing but patience and kindness as my sweet dog, Ben, was able to spend his last moments being treated with love, gentleness, and dignity.

UVH has been my dog's vet for her entire life. They're friendly, helpful, and clearly care about the animals they care for. Highly recommend!

After two years, I will never use this vet again. I explicitly told everyone who handled my dog today not to shave him, as he is a show dog with several shows coming up. Not only was he shaved, but he was shaved on his show side. It has been in his chart for years that he is not to be shaved unless it is an emergency. A routine procedure (that he was NOT shaved for in May), does not constitute as an emergency. Despite all of this, they still happily charged me nearly $500 and the tech couldn't have had less sympathy when informed that I am now out quite a bit of money, due to paying non refundable entry fees to shows my dog will not be able to attend. If anything, the attitude she had makes me believe this was done intentionally. If they aren't willing to check the chart for instructions and concerns prior to performing a procedure, then they should not be practicing any formal of medicine.

There aren't words for how much I love this place. The front desk workers were amazing. They're wonderful at accommodating pets that aren't exactly thrilled to be here.I have four babies that I bring to see Dr. Pollock and Nurse Shelley. Two of mine are easy patients, but two are not. Vet appointments with my cat Bree and dog Io have been nightmares in the past. Bree is very much a "one person" cat and Io is incredibly fear aggressive. I was so impressed with the patience and care that the UVH team showed my girls. Dr. Pollock was never in a hurry and was so calm. She was able to persuade Io to eat treats out of her hand and did the entire visit on the ground to keep her comfortable which I appreciated so much. The cat music and slow approach to everything she did was very helpful with my cat Bree, who hissed and growled but decided to allow Dr. Pollock to keep her fingers. ????. My other two are well behaved at the vet but one has a multitude of health problems. I have NEVER had someone take that much time with me to explain choices and what exactly the options were moving forward. Everything was explained to me! I highly recommend UVH!

Front desk needs to understand that Estimates are given for a reason. I specificly askedo for prices of certain exams that I want done on my pet. Front desk refused to tell me those prices. Most other vets will tell you the price. My cat required a very specifc treatment as I have been doing it for over 10 years. Imstead of the front desk telling me that they dknt knkw the price, they simply said they cant give it out, which is a lie. Lost a customer.

I had to get on my ALT email to leave another review because of our GREAT experience here. I will now never go to another Vet. clinic/Animal Hospital other than UVH, ever again. During the last days of our sweet baby Lola's life, they were SO responsive and helpful! They helped with pain meds and easing her misery with very little to-no delay. They were extremely compassionate and patient at the end. They made a paw print of our beloved fur-baby on her last day and also sent a card with the Dr.'s condolences! I can not speak highly enough about this place. They really have their practice down to a science; from being professional, thorough and courteous, to comfort and support. Rest in the most peace my sweet baby Lola and thank you UVH!

We are new to the area and this was our first vet visit since moving- I’ll admit, I’m always skeptical when I read “expensive, but the quality of service makes up for it!” Well, they’re right. Dr. Durov was absolutely amazing. He recognized my pup was a bit uncomfortable and immediately sat on the floor with him and loved on him for ten minutes prior to beginning his exam and giving his vaccinations. We will be back and scheduling future appointments with Dr. Durov, I have no doubt. They are on the pricier side of things, but it was so worth it to have my boy leave with a positive experience. I NEVER leave reviews, but UVH deserves it. Couldn’t be happier! P.S. You can go in with your animal!! I was so sick of sending my pup in alone while I waited in the car at other places, so I was thrilled to have this option. BUT you can also still stay in your vehicle and have them come get your pet as well if that makes you feel safer. Love their thoughtfulness!

All of the veterinarians are awesome here as well as the daycare staff and office gals! They make frequent trips to the vet with my energetic and accident-prone doodle an ease, and really seem to care for and love on your babies like they would their own. A special shout-out to Dr. Smith who is Weezie’s favorite! Thanks for all y’all do!

Highly recommend this Veterinary Hospital, the staff, and Dr. Gregorio! We were seen at University Vet Hospital on July 8 after our sweet Golden Retriever got into the trash and ate corn cobs. Luckily she threw them up, but we took her into the vet just to be sure anyway. It was truly a nightmare to read the complications associated with consuming corncobs on Google. We were seen last second, and right before the office closed. We were greeted by the kindest lobby staff who genuinely seemed excited to help us and ease our distress, despite us showing up in the lobby 30 minutes before they closed for the day. I also want to give my highest regards for Dr. Ben Gregorio (and all the staff, specifically "Kiley"). He was a breath of fresh air, professional, friendly, kind, and thoroughly assessed my dog and immediately made a game plan on the best method of treatment for her. I can genuinely say that we now look forward to bringing all of our pets to this place for all future treatments or routine checkups after the experience we had dealing with this. We are extremely thankful.

Highest level of animal care. No matter the issue, chances are they have an actual specialist in that field on hand and can handle almost anything in-house. People and pets alike are treated like friends.

I had never been to this vet before and made an appt. and was seen just hours later! Most places are booked for weeks right now due to the influx of pet owners from covid. The staff was all friendly and helpful. Even the small things like holding the door for me every time I went in and out, make a difference to me. The place is also very clean and it smells nice. Yeah, I was sticker shocked at first on the price of x-rays, but come to find out the Dr. Did something like 35+. Worth it!

From the first call to entering the doors of the UVH, the staff was friendly, very informative, listened to our concerns. The doctor acted as if we were the only patient. We were happy about our choice. We will be recommending UVH to our friends with fur babies!

Absolutely horrible experience. Brought in stray cat that was outside of my house. Poor kitten had a mangled tail with maggots in it. They were going to charge me $1500 to amputate. But I found somewhere that did it for $200 elsewhere. UVH still charged me $200 to “clean out the wound” and wrapped it in a bandage….when other vet looked at the wound they said it was still full of maggots and not cleaned. Horrible horrible experience

I absolutely love this clinic. It’s not the cheapest place however you’re paying for quality care and it truly is the best care in the area, bossier included. It still isn’t extremely expensive however, not for the type of service/care your baby will receive. I found a kitten about a month ago screaming for help at Wendy’s drive thru.. she’d been bitten on her neck, was starving and completely alone. Once we realized the neck wounds weren’t healing properly, we took her to uvh and got an amazing topical antibiotic ointment that healed her up in almost no time at all! Then she started showing signs of upper respiratory infection.. which we tried clearing up at home using lysine however her health continued declining so we took her back to uvh.. she received some strong antibiotics and the vet sat outside in the heat thoroughly answering everything we asked and explaining what all we needed to do. Unfortunately her symptoms continued getting worse so we took her back once more to find out she had calicivirus… she’s been on antivirals along w her antibiotics for maybe close to a week now and she’s doing GREAT! We were very scared she might not pull through I mean she was bleeding from her nose (due to ulcers), not eating properly (also ulcers and inability to smell food due to congestion), constantly fatigued and even limping (calicivirus can cause arthritis in kittens)… But she’s made almost a full recovery! Dr. Ricord has been truly incredible and literally saved this kittens life. At one point she even reached out to an internal medicine specialist!!! Just top of the line care!! We will ALWAYS take our babies here.. THANK YOU UVH vets and team for always going above and beyond! You all saved this little ones life and we cannot say thank you enough.

They are pet and people responsive. Great people, I've never had a bad experience there. They even took in some baby ducks I rescued from the highway. Cannot go wrong with this Veterinary Hospital.

Took my dog here for the first time for a vet visit. The staff were knowledgeable and polite, and invested in my pet's care. The check in process was simple through the phone - due to covid, you wait in your car for them to come out to get your baby, and the doctor comes out to talk to you (or calls you, if you need to leave) to discuss options BEFORE making any choices/procedures. They took the time to slowly and carefully trim my dog's nails, since she's extremely anxious most of the time, and the doctor gave me great advice on how to keep her healthy, which my last vet didn't cover (such as options for keeping her teeth clean, and exactly how much food she needs to be healthy). I'm very happy with my service and have found my new vet!
