No compassion from doctor or staff!!! They show no love for your pet!! They don't greet them or love on them to make them feel comfortable!! It's a cold feeling! I regret placing my trust in them!!

As a broke college student who got a dog, this place is so affordable! They charge the cheapest prices for heartworm preventatives than any other vet office. 10/10

dr house and her staff have been great for the past few years but a few months ago my dog got a huge mass and they mis diagnosed her this whole time..now after taking her to a different vet we find out it's cancer. now my loved puppy of 10 years is dying Infront of me and my family. I'm not going to blame anyone but the messed up thing is that when the other vet saw her she immediately figured out it was cancer. we could have been treating this the whole time but can't because it's too late.

These guys are great! The vet explained everything that could possibly be going on with my cat, all possible future tests and options, pricing & called me back herself with results. This was our first visit and will be our vet now.

I've been here twice. The staff is very nice and super accommodating. So many vets these days are trying to up sell you on what they offer. It really seems like the folks that work here just want the best for you animal. Thanks SM Vet Clinic!

Great care at an affordable price! Since we moved to San Marcos all our animals have been cared for at SMVC.

Used to be great, now have had sub par care at best. I don't know if it's just because people couldn't go back with their animals for a long time or what, but we've had both of our dogs get bad care now. We have a younger puppy that upon receiving a check up was determined by the vet to have lost all but one of her baby teeth. The vet either didn't know what they were doing, or lied to us, and now we're taking her elsewhere to get all of the teeth that didn't fall out and are still in with her adult teeth handled hopefully before they cause any serious damage. Also took in our older girl for her recently yearly, and that one I was present for. She was not examined physically, they just got her blood drawn for the heartworm test and gave her her shots. They didn't even trim her nails, which is usually done during the exam, but as I said, they didn't bother to examine her. And all of this was after telling the vet about my dogs recent stomach issues and food sensitivities, which was ignored. I had also called previously about the issues, and was met with a very rude, judgemental desk person on the phone who blamed it all on the food I was feeding her, then on me changing her food? We had to determine ourselves that it was tapeworms, with no help from them. I used to recommend them, but all of this has been just terrible. Now I'm sure we will have to foot a stupid high bill at a different vet to deal with the tooth issue that could have been caught much sooner if the quality here hadn't plummeted to not even passable.

I love this clinic so much. The staff are so friendly, reasonably priced and helpful. Any time I had a question or concern they were always responsive and answered all my questions. Highly recommend taking your fur babies here.

Dr Julie House is an outstanding Veterinarian who cares deeply for her patients. She goes above and beyond to make sure the animals and their owners are well taken care of with compassionate care.

I've gone here for years! Dr House is super straight and to the point. She answers every question honestly and the whole staff is very compassionate. She gives good advice and checks everything. As long as i have a pet we will be going to her! I have driven a good distance to this location because it's extremely affordable without feeling like you're losing any quality. And they also work with non profit organizations to help other animals in need.

Dropped the pups off for boarding this weekend.Great place for the doggies.

They have been treating my fur babies years. I would've take my babies to anyone else. Dr. House is a very good doctor, and she really cares for her fur patients. That is what I love. If my fur babies love her that is a wonderful thing. I can not speak highly enough at them. They are wonderful!!!!!!!

Thank you so much for taking such good care of my daughter and her sweet cat. The overnight stay ended up being extremely affordable, which was a huge relief to my daughter during the holidays. We aren't sure yet what the prognosis is for her kitty long-term, but I am so grateful she is in such caring and compassionate hands.

Doctor Julie and her staff are extremely caring and professional. San Marcos Veterinary Clinic and Dr. Julie have cared for our dogs (Labs) for the past 25+ years and helped my wife and I through all the rough times associated with being a pet owner(if you know what I mean). You could not ask for a better place to care for your pet much less the reasonable pricing. Two very big thumbs up!!

They were very kind and patient with my dogs. They answered all my questions and the appointment was short and sweet. My dog is timid with strangers but they gave her a treat and she seemed very warmed up to them once they were done! Will continue to use this vet in the future

Dr. House is absolutely wonderful. She is experienced with excellent bedside manner. She clearly cares not only about her animals but the owners as well. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for an intelligent, authentic vet.

I cannot say enough good things about this wonderful establishment. Not only were they so nice over the phone, but we travel all the way from North Austin to come here due to the shortage of good vets in Austin who don’t push unnecessary vaccines on our senior dog who has terrible arthritis in his legs. We had a terrible experience with a place in pflugerville where they wanted to force us to vaccinate our dog while he was ill and having trouble walking as it is so they refused to treat him but we found this wonderful place instead. They happily treated our dog without pressuring us and we’re even understanding when my husband was a bit late driving there through Austin traffic. SO reasonably priced! Don’t go anywhere else!

Dr.House is awesome. The staff is awesome. I have 2 cats and I fully trust this clinic to care for my fur babies, completely. Highly recommend!!!
