This Vet clinic is great! How great you ask? Great like catching diabetes in my 11 year old lab and keeping him around a few more years. Great, like doing sameday surgery on a foster kitten of ours that had a secondary infection from a low-cost spay (somewhere else). Great, like getting another foster kitten of our turned around when they where looking pretty bad. We're lucky to have them in our community!

You now have the option of either letting them take your pet in or going in with it. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Dr Medina is great!! She really takes the time to break down exactly everything that is going on with your fur baby and finds the best solution to helping them out. I will absolutely be coming here for all my dogs apointments!

Wow, what a great place. I called and got an appointment the same day. My dog was treated with such care and kindness. It was a wellness visit to get established and I'm so pleased with Animal care Center. My questions were answered and I was so comfortable with the treatment Josh received. So glad I called today!

Dr. J has literally saved my cat's life twice. The first time she needed surgery. She had an abdominal mass. It was possible that it was spread through the abdomen, but when he opened her up, he found a solitary lymphoma of the intestine. We gave the ok to proceed, and he removed the mass and reattached the intestines. She made a full recovery! Recently she had an episode of acute hepatitis (must have gotten into some poison somewhere outside). We found her on her side with pupils dilated and only breathing. I thought that she had a stroke. We brought her in and they immediately took her to the back, started IV and resuscitated her. Three days later she is home, going up and down the stairs several times a day, and fussing at my to give her the food she wants. Brought back from the dead. He is an excellent surgeon, and now we see good at medical care as well. Not every vet is an excellent surgeon. I recommend him highly. His staff is friendly, adaptable, and service-oriented. They love animals. Just an update, April 2021- my darling black cat, who had her surgery in 2017, is still doing great and despite the near-death experiences, never lost her mental capacity, persistence or meanness (when needed). Picture shows her "protecting" me from a pit bull that followed me home and would not leave until a policeman came to take him away. My black cat- man's best friend!

They were fast and great

Had a minor issue with my dog that should have been a relatively cheap procedure. Every time I called or spoke with someone they would tell me a higher price than they quoted. I called and expressed my concerned and they lowered the price, and the vet who I spoke on the phone with said he would send me home with wipes for free. I arrived and they tried to charge me for those afterwards. Never going back here.

They have gone above and beyond every experience I've had here. I highly recommend this vet.

Dr. Jorgensen is wonderful. I appreciate how well they communicate for remote pandemic care. My pet goes in, they call and discuss while pet is still inside, we make decisions, and pet comes out healthier! Three for three on great experiences with my pets. The staff is warm and friendly. Love this place!

you can tell this clinic really cares about its patients and their owners and aren't just in it to make a buck- affordable, reliable, and always willing to answer questions from worried pet parents- best vet in hays county!

This animal care center has terrific customer service and the best animal health care. They also offer grooming services. Highly recommended!

The vets went above and beyond while helping my kitty, and gave me various options for pricing which helped a lot since I’m a college student. I definitely felt like my cat was in good hands here!
