I thought vca was the best, until my friend went to this location. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. Dr. Nelson literally told her she was a bad dog mom and that she shouldn't be a dog mom at all! Just because she hadn't brought her dog in for a few months (because he didn't need anything) and she brought him in for allergies. ALLERGIES is the reason Dr. Nelson called her a bad dog mom. Dr. Nelson you do not get to treat people like that and think it's ok just because you're a vet. Needless to say my friend has not been back since then. The other vets there were good, but she ruined my friend's experience there. If you go here do NOT see Dr. Nelson unless you want her to insult you.

I recently moved to the area and I called the clinic inquiring a new puppy and information about vaccines and Samantha on the phone was very informative and kind.

The staff and Doctors really came through for my family. In the rush of getting out of New Orleans for the storm, I forgot my dogs heartworm prevention. They provided for us when we really needed them. This little act of kindness made my week! Thank you again!

I was looking for a new vet for my 19 year old cat. The old vets office staff were rude and unorganized, the vet was impersonal. I called this vet because they were having a special on the price of a first visit. I was blown away by the kindness and caring attitude the receptionist showed me. She was very patient as I explained my worries and concerns. If she is an example of the care Sassy will be receiving from this vets office, we will be customers for life!

I was looking for a wellness visit for my orange boy and came here because they had availability soonest. It’s on the opposite side of town, but I may just continue coming here because the staff was so wonderful and accommodating. Michelle was our VA, and she was so nice and helpful and made my anxious boy feel calm. She even went the extra step to get us checked out in our room so my cat wouldn’t have to be around others for longer. Would highly recommend coming here for the staff, ease of booking and communication.

First time here and I am shocked at how friendly they are! I was very pleased! The service was quick and I stayed in my car. They seem to really care for the animals. I 100% recommend! I will be coming here from now on!!

I really was nervous for my first visit but it was really good, they tried their best to stay under my budget and they were really nice. The techinican was really helpful and so was the doctor. I got Dr. Fay

They seemed good. Didn't get to meet the vet because you have to sit in the parking lot. Hope I don't have to take the dog in this summer!

Hospital service has deteriorated since the pandemic. Check in is chaotic, and extremely slow. Doctors remain professional and helpful in spite of the inferior office staff. You call to check in as per the new requirements yet they forget about your pet. This has happened to more than once. Your appointment time is arbitrary as they will come to retrieve your pet not at the appointment time but after. Note to potential clients If after 20 minutes your pet has not been seen, call the office. Also the care club is not transferrable to another VCA should you decide to look for another vet.

I love this Hospital. It's an extended family for my fur babies. They love your pets as much as you do. I always recommend VCA Animal Hospitals.

Called to see if I could get prescription filled for 2 of my dogs when I was near another VCA. Was told that doctor would be consulted and then I’d be called back. No one ever contacted me and it wasn’t till 3 days later when I called VCA hospital and explained my dissatisfaction and was moving my pets to another VCA that the person I spoke to at said hospital called me with Excuse that they were too busy. I explained in my professional life that I Always returned calls no matter how Busy I was!

We started using VCA as our vet when we adopted our dog from the humane society a few years back. The staff here are kind and helpful and very caring. We feel comfortable boarding our dog here and trust them to care for her well. We love Dr. Johnson! She is great at explaining things we have concerns about and doesn't rush us if we have questions. Highly recommend

We have been bringing our animals here for several years and they have always been super kind, professional, and responsive. One of our dogs was experiencing an eye issue that we were having trouble resolving and Dr. Sartor really went above and beyond to help us get a quick appointment late in the day for her to be seen at a specialist the next morning. We have seen several doctors and all have always been great (even with our dog who HATES vet visits and can be a little difficult). The techs and administrative teams have also always been great. Highly recommend.

I a have a career changed service dog that was attacked by another dog and he now has aggressive behaviors. They allow him to come into a side entrance and go straight into a room to avoid confrontation.

Very friendly staff. We got our first after shelter exam here. We got free heartworm sample and a food sample as well. My dog got a thorough exam and they took a lot of time explaining everything to us

I have been bringing all my pets here since 2008. The staff and doctors are great. But the prices have steadily gone up to a ridiculous amount, so much to the point that when it comes time to renew vaccines, etc. I’ll be forced to find a new vet. All my pets are considered seniors so I know they need more care, but it shouldn’t cost an arm, leg and part of your soul to make sure you keep a fur baby healthy. $1000+ for basically inconclusive tests unless I want to go to a specialist and spend more money on a biopsy. I wouldn’t put my 80 year old grandmother through that, let alone my almost 16 yr old cat. Plus another $100 for an upper respiratory infection. (Told $50 for the office visit on the phone since I had been there within 30 days but charged $63). I was forced to drop $45 dollars on my dog’s meds through VetSource which they market as comparable to chewy.com (chewy is completely out of stock of the medicine my dog needs) I’ve never paid over $15 for this same medicine with chewy. Needless to say, as much as I love the doctors here... when a vets has maxed out a CareCredit card, you can no longer get gas because you had to spend it on medicine for your pet, and the doctors start to feel more like sales people, something is seriously wrong and it’s time to move on. When job wages really haven’t changed you can’t keep raising prices and expect people to still afford it, ESPECIALLY during a pandemic. I seriously hope none of my pets have an emergency for 2 years, because I’ve been drained dry when it comes to money simply from TWO vet visits. Of course this is when they try to sell you on Care Club. Which is great at a glance, until you start really looking at it and find out it’s just another fancy payment plan WITH a monthly payment and a 1 year contract.
