I got my dog's yearly vaccines, heartworm test, a year's worth of heartworm prevention, and his exam and treatment for conjunctivitis for a little over $200. I've paid about as much for just the annual stuff in the past, so it was like getting a sick visit for free. The vet was lovely and super fast. They took my dog back to do his shots, exam, and heartworm test and he was back with me in less than 10 minutes. The whole visit was maybe 30 minutes, and they gave me prices for everything up front, which I really appreciated.

Understaffed but still made our trip worthwhile. They were incredibly helpful with both of our kitties and was really reasonable and cost effective. Would definitely come back

I was able to set an appointment with hem same day and although the wait for the vet was long, the vet and tech were very nice and friendly to my cat.

Went for a check up for my 4 month old kitten and 6 year old cat. Immediately when we arrived, we were greeted by Michael, he was very polite, attentive and positive. Then after a short wait, we were seen by the tech, Brittany who was also very good at her job. Told what was needed quickly and efficiently. Saw Dr. Emshoff, who provided awesome service and made my cat and kitten very comfortable. Service like this is what people strive to get and we appreciate the pleasant experience and good quality work!

Excellent service they explained everything to me and took great care of my dog. I would definitely recommend them to anyone the doctor and all the staff were very nice and respectful.

I cant tell you what a sad day it was as I found out that I had to put my dog down because of his heart condition. The staff at thrive were compassionate and very kind .I think my crying was a bit much but my heart was and still is broken So I couldn't express my gratitude because of my grief so here it is. . Thank you for allowing me to show my pain thank you for trying to console me when I could do nothing but cry. Thank you for being patient but most of all thank you for helping Wallace cross over as peaceful as possible, with the dignity he deserved. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Johnny and Wallace

This is one of the worst places I've ever brought an animal to. I work at the airport and we have a lot of cats that get dumped there. We have found homes for most and the one I took in I unfortunately brought here. I explained that I don't have much money but would want to take this cat in rather than let it be killed by a car or let it give birth to a plethora of kittens that would be her fate otherwise, so what do I need to do? Well. "How much money do you have" was the question I was asked...keep in mind this place advertises as "low cost". I mean I had 100 bucks and well surprise surprise that's exactly how much it would cost to get her "first" round of vaccines necessary to take a cat home...to my house...with another cat which I explained was the situation. They didn't even check for worms. And when they gave me a qoute for spaying his cat, I was given two options...$350 no pain medication or over $400 with. LOW COST???? Please take that off your web page because you do not care about the feline population. Also was told to bring back a stool sample which I did, but after waiting for a receptionist or someone for over 30 minutes just left it on the register and never heard back from them. If my cat does have kittens, I will leave them on their doorstep, as they are their responsibility. Trying all I can to take care of an abandoned cat but places like this infuriate me. No stars.

My baby Shaushi wasn't feeling well about 2 weeks ago and every Vet clinic was full ,even Thrive but the sweet young man called me back with a cancelation at the time that was perfect for us.I was impressed how fast we were taken in. Irma was too sweet& professional as were the other techs.Dr.Emsoff was awesome & gentle also very patient with my baby.There was no rush feeling and everything was explained. We went back for her follow up and signed up as members!! We appreciate all the staff thank you for your kindness& making us feel comfy! Shaushi& mama????❤

I switched over to Thrive from another low cost vet clinic that had horrible service but low prices. I’m so glad I did. Thrive makes it so much easier to schedule my dog’s visits and I like that they show they genuinely care about my dog. I would recommend to anyone looking for affordable vet care!

This clinic has been taking care of my dog Mocha for 3 years since I adopted her as a puppy. The staff are friendly and professional. The clinic is always clean. The doctors take the time to answer any questions or concerns. During our recent visit Ashley was also helpful and informative as well. They’re very thorough and give great advice! I love their app and check in process. It makes things run smoothly and makes the whole process quicker. My dog also has her ears cleaned and nails trimmed when we go in and I’ve never had any problems with that either. I always get a follow up text or call after any appointments and I really appreciate that. Especially when it’s for a “sick” appointment. I’m also a part of their membership program so that saves us money too! I could rave about this place all day lol but I love it! Thank you for keeping our animals healthy! And for all the protocols that were put in place/are in place due to covid as well! ????

First time visiting for my Husky mix, staff was very friendly and professional. Veterinarian was very attentive and friendly, took time to answer all my questions. Will be returning here for my Fur baby's next visit.

On Monday I noticed my dog Chiquito was walking sluggish , I immediately called my Vet they had no openings till Wednesday . I checked other places with no luck , Until I called Thrive Vet Care on Austin Highway they seen me the same day and checked out Chiquito they are My New Hero's Thank you Dr.Severn and to her wonderful staff ...Bea , Brittany , and Evelyn you guys are Awesome ..

I love this place! My sweet kitty Fluffy was on the brink of death and even though I didn't have an appointment they took him in and over 3 visits they would check in with me on the phone or by text to let me know what was going on or just to see how he was doing. They were friendly and the prices truly are very reasonable and they even offer credit so you can pay it off. Finally they have a membership for $10 a month that gives you free office visits and discounts on other things. Several offices around town.

Just adopted a kitten from a local San Antonio shelter and due to stress of moving, my kitten developed conjunctivitis in her right eye. I am a first-time cat owner so this was extremely concerning and scary for me. I came to Thrive as a walk-in and thankfully they took us in. Nurse Amberly and Dr. Severns we’re gentle with my kitten but also extremely knowledgeable. They knew exactly what the issue was when they took a look at my kitten, diagnosed her and prescribed medication. Vets are notoriously expensive and this visit wasn’t ridiculously expensive, just a notch above my budget but at least my kitty will be feeling better!

Very comfortable vet clinic and the staff is very friendly and gentle with the animals. They are such a huge help if the pet is uncomfortable. I’ve used them from vaccinations to regular check ups and they never fail to please!
