So I've never been here and my great dane puppy swallowed a mask ( covid mask) and I couldnt bring him in until 10 hours after the problem. I thought it would be surgery and problems. Thank the lord you guys are open on Sundays . I called emergency pet hospitals and people were asking 800 for x rays and insane money to just ser my dog . after I waited and got there at 1140.. They checked me in and helped me 1st. We had no idea what would happen but short story my dog threw up the mask and no surgery was needed. I am just thankful this place was open with walk ins and they were so kind and willing to do whatever we had to do to help my puppy. Very nice staff and love the location . very close to where I live

This past week I had to euthanize my 16 1/2 y.o. miniature Schnauzer. The staff was very accommodating (as a walk-in) and extremely compassionate. It's already the hardest decision to make when your pet's quality of life has declined dramatically and I was concerned they might make me feel even worse for my decision. They did not. I had the option of being present or not. They brought my sweet girl back to me after an IV catheter was inserted, wrapped in a soft warm blanket, with a plate of rotisserie chicken and a packet of soup, and assured me I could take all the time that I needed. I never felt pressured or rushed while I grieved and then let them take her. Making a decision to euthanize is heartbreaking, but the staff at Fur & Feather helped guide me through the process with choices and explanations along the way, and for that, I'm grateful.

The hours are fantastic. Of course my dog has her tail degloved at ~9pm on a Saturday when everything else is closed. I was worried about infection and pain, so I didn't want to just wrap it and wait until morning. I called first just in case. They said they could see her. They're very covid careful, so be ready to wait in your car until a room is open. They were busy, so we ended up waiting in our car for a while. Understandable since they're the only ones open. Not a big deal, just a btw. Only 1 person is allowed in right now with the animal. So, I ended up staying in the car while my fiance went in. I didn't get much interaction with the staff, but the front desk lady was very professional and another woman with a big friendly smile carried my girl to our car. They gave her pain and anti nausea meds, so they could clean and bandage her tail after inspecting it. Made a plan to have surgery. Went home with meds and a loopy drooly dog. She's doing fine with her little tail all wrapped up. We take her back in today for the partial tail amputation since about an inch of bone was exposed from the wound. I don't have any doubt that she'll be well taken care of. I appreciate that the complications with healing were explained, so we can try and mitigate them after the procedure by not letting her get anywhere near it until it is fully healed. And even then we'll keep an eye to make sure she doesn't pick at it. Good experience overall for the initial visit.

Took my puppy in because he was sick, i was already aware he needed his second set of shots but the lady there was rude to me about him not having them, I also heard her in the back talking about me to other employees which was very unprofessional to me! I’m there to get help with my pet not get talked about! Shame on your employees!

I can’t say enough about the care they gave my puppy. I highly recommend this place! They were caring and took the time to learn her skittishness. They saw us the day we called as it was an emergency.

I drove from Marion which was about 45 minutes to get my puppy checked out for a bite wound and let me just say it was worth it!!! Nobody around me had any availability-or they wanted to charge an emergency fee of $150 (which is understandable, vets have lives too) I called around 9pm the day before to let them know I would be coming and I got seen right away. The whole staff was super friendly! The receptionist was bubbly and kind, the vet tech was down to earth and listened to me ramble, and the veterinarian explained everything thoroughly and seemed to really care about my puppy! I will say that the whole service was less that what other clinics charge for the emergency fee so it was pretty easy on the wallet! We never plan for these things to happen but Fur and Feather made it easy! ***just a picture of my puppy Bunny***

My poor puppy broke his ankle last night. We went to 4 “emergency vets” here in San Antonio they were all too busy to help (literally even refused to put him on a list) That’s ok it forced me to look outside of the city and that’s where I found the most amazing, kind, compassionate office. They stayed late, didn’t rush and took care of my baby. Absolutely worth the drive. Thank you so much.

I brought my dog in for vomiting, diarrhea and pain. They were very busy and it was definitely past closing by the time they finished up with him. Prices were more than reasonable despite it being an emergency and he was very well cared for. I had to bring him back the next day for more IV fluids and I was again impressed by the vet tech and the care my dog received. I would definitely recommend this facility. Great experience overall and I will be forever thankful they took such good care of my dog.

I took my 7 month old German Shepard in 2 hours before they closed. The receptionist Nicole was very sweet, and we got taken to a room right away. The vet techs were great at answering all of our millions of questions, and the doctor explained every test, and every result to us in detail. They were incredibly helpful at taking care of our baby, and educating us for peace of mind. You could tell the staff was incredibly tired, but they never stopped smiling. They didn’t do any test we didn’t approve, and didn’t try to oversell us on anything we didn’t need. I would highly recommend them to anyone who has an animal emergency, not only because they are amazing at what they do, but they are also super affordable. Thank you so much Fur & Feathers!

Initial office visit for his acute problem was very well. Brought my rabbit back for surgery a week later and it was not very well. Dropped my rabbit off for surgery at 12:45pm. Heard about how he was doing when I called them at 8:30pm to ask if he was still alive!? Zero communication at all for surgical patients (at least for mine)…. The real kicker is that on the second day post op my rabbit was really bothered by his little pink bandage where his IV had been. Decided to remove his bandage and see that he had the whole IV set up still in him. Discharge instructions were very minimal at BEST and I was just like WOW. Have a pet that most places don’t treat, drive 45 minutes one way this office and I’m not sure that we will be back.

My cat Gigi had cancer and I had to have her put down- she was in bad shape and I was emotional, but everyone here was extremely compassionate. I appreciated their support during a difficult time and felt they genuinely cared for both Gigi and for me.

I'm sorry, my daughter-in law took a 1 year old dog in because she had a little red in her stool. I told her it was more than likely bacterial and although i am not a Vet, I have rescued and saved many, many lives! After paying 400.00 and i …

They saved my kitty!! After a terrible reaction to an over the counter flea medicine (I will never be purchasing again!) I was able to walk in and have her treated essentially immediately. I am very thankful for the professionalism as well as the courtesy they showed me and my cat.

My senior cat was sick and I took him in to be euthanized. I was inconsolable. The wonderful staff at Fur and Feather, examined him and realized he had an infection in his mouth. He is doing much better and I am so grateful.

I absolutely love this place! I’ve gone in with both dogs in the last couple of months & both times they made sure to tell me what the options are and what the cost is for each option. They have put my mind at ease both times & I couldn’t be more grateful!

I felt they took advantage of me. I was worried about my cat. Over $400 later we find out nothing other than a little bacteria. (If that's even true) I would not recommend this place. I personally did not feel valued or like they genuinely cared.

Took our new puppy for his first visit and staff, Heather, was very friendly. My puppy did not want to leave. They give a goody bag with treats to go, a toothbrush, a measuring cup and paw protector. The facility was very clean. We love their business hours!
