Spring Creek Animal Hospital San Antonio, Texas

Took our puppy for her first visit to the vet and it couldn't have gone any better. Very informative and professional, at no point did I doubt that we had picked the right vet to take care of our puppy.

My partner and I have been taking our furbabies for years and honestly have not been disappointed with the treatment. From the doctors straight down to the staff they all have been wonderful. If we've had an emergency Sarah and Holly have been able to get us an appointment in right away for the babies to be seen. Some of the prices have gone up for a few things but with their pet rewards, it had really helped us save money with our kiddos. Chise, Lewis, and Victor will continue seeking care here and I would recommend it too for any pet parent in need for the best care. Great job guys ????

After 2 week of care under Dr Blevins, my dog is dead. I came here recently bc I wanted a vet closer to home. My chihuahua was diagnosed w congestive heart failure 7 months ago and I needed meds refilled. He sold me on Thinking the previous doctor was wrong on her diagnosis and I should do an echocardiogram so he could see what else was going on. ($549.50) He said it showed She was not in congestive heart failure but then needed to do A chest x-ray to see the lungs.($299.50) Said it maybe showed infection. Instructed me to HALF her lasix dosage and that she needed antibiotics and a inhaler (533.85) . 3 days after following his instructions and she almost died in my arms. I made it to Broadway emergency Hospital and spent another $2000 trying to save her life but she passed away. I was informed by three different emergency drs. That everything he did was wrong. They took their own x-ray and said you could clearly see that the original diagnosis of congestive heart failure was correct. So she never should’ve been taken off meds. They also informed me that you never half the Lasix dose you only go down by quarters. There was no infection but even that prescribed dosage was too high for her weight. The inhaler was the worst thing for her heart. These instructions directly led to her early death. Even though she had a disease she was perfectly playing like a puppy and acting normal before these changes. When I finally received a follow up call his answer was it’s not his fault it’s the radiologist because all he did was read their reports. Drsplaning does not take away your responsibility sir you were the doctor and I’m sorry you do not know how to read the film but in the end you are responsible for the instructions that you give for the patients. Just like a human doctor. I politely requested a refund for the two x-rays and the inhaler. I was not requesting repayment for anything else and I was instructed that if I have a problem to contact their board. Dr. Blevins I fully intend to, don’t you worry. I have no knowledge of the other doctor. I do know the staff here is extremely friendly but I highly recommend but no one trust their dogs life under Dr. Blevins care.

I want to say that I love Spring Creek Animal Hospital and that I've been bringing my dogs here for a number of years. Great caring, and professional employees. However, today I was very disappointed to learn that they've increased dog nail trimming rates, substantially, to discourage these types of appointments. Even though I moved further away, I continue traveling half way across town to bring my dogs here for their care, because I love their service that much. This felt like a slap in the face to me. I'm very disappointed. I know this is a small thing to whoever made this decision, but I choose to bring my pets to your facility. I could go to Petsmart down the street from where I live now, but I still choose to go to Spring Creek, but not at $36.50 for a nail trim per dog. I'm going to stew on this a little, but I just want you to know that I'm not happy.

Always a great experience! Clean, organized, efficient, and FRIENDLY! And the Vets are superb.

Had a minor emergency and was able to get in the same day with a cancelation. Dr and veterinary assistants were phenomenal! Will be bringing the pets here from now on.

I have been taking my Pets to Dr Blevins for over 20 years. He is one of the best Vetranarians I have ever seen with my Pets. I had a 18 years old, have a 20 year old and a 21 year old Chichua. Best little companions one could ever want and or need.!!

The staff at Spring Creek have been friendly and professional from the start. This week my poor dog accidentally got injured and they fit him in and called to check on him the next day. We have definitely found our vet while stationed in San Antonio.

Chose this vet place for our new puppy and wasn’t disappointed. Dr. Belvins and staff are all great. I was a little nervous not being able to go in with my pup but I definitely appreciate their COVID-19 measures. The visit didn’t last long and my pup was loved on the whole time. Dr. Belvins called and answered all my questions and was very enthusiastic and patient. I definitely felt the love this team has for animals. I will definitely recommend to friends and family.

I have taken my dog here ever since he is a puppy. He is now six years old. I loved the team and everytime he had a stomach ache for eating something they always took him in between patients. However, last week my pup got a big nasty cut on his back paw. I called to see if I could take him in for them to check him out and their response was " we don't make appointments for that" so they gave me two places to call. Which those two places only currently take current patients not new ones. I spend a whole day trying to find a vet that would take my poor dog in. They all kept saying I should contact his vet because they dont take new patients. after a long day I found a new vet, his paw was infected and needed antibiotics. NOT THEIR PATIENT AND THEY STILLL TOOK MY LOVE IN. VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH springcreek. I always priced and told friends and family to take their pets there but in not sure anymore.

I absolutely love taking my pets to Spring Creek Animal Hospital. Dr. Belvins and all his staff really know how to put love and care into your fur babies .. I highly recommend them to everyone.

I've worked with both Drs. & they're great! They are genuine in their care & treatment. They're also mindful of the cost & will work with you on what is absolutely needed for your pet. The staff & vet techs are very nice & helpful. I'm always at ease when I bring my pets in.

New client, but i am impressed. The staff is very friendly and Doctor Blevins is as concerned about my Graham as I am. My Graham liked his trip! Next dog soon lol Picture- Grahams face after I told him the doctor said hes fat and needs a diet. He is unimpressed =)
