My baby girl had to be euthanized only three weeks after returning from training at this place. When I reached out to inquire about her stay, I was met with absolutely no sympathy or compassion. I was told she probably had cancer (she didn’t). And to top it off, they sent a text a few weeks after the email asking if we got everything out of training that we were hoping for.

I love the results! Sure, my dogs aren't running errands and picking up the groceries, but they are well behaved, obedient, and considerably easier to handle (try walking three high-energy labs near a squirrel). Jonathan and his team are knowledgeable, friendly and most importantly, patient. Thanks for making my best friends even better! Update: It’s been a few months since we completed the two week course. We’ve had two personalized training sessions with Jonathan and boarded our 3 pups at SADTC a couple of times. These sessions are invaluable and they are included if you do the two week program. You can’t put a price on the personal attention you get from Jonathan and his staff. This is the best experience we’ve ever had boarding our dogs. Highly recommended with no regrets or reservations.

We are so blessed to have found Jonathan roughly 6 years ago and 4 dogs now. They come back even cuter than when they got there, because now they mind. Thank you and your team of dog lovers.

Our German Shepherd wasn't taking to any training we had given him. We called to set up an appointment and were able to be taken at the start of the next week. 2 weeks later and he is almost a new dog. Awesome training, staff, support, and atmosphere.

We needed to board our dog for a few weeks. My biggest fear was about my year old recently adopted dog reverting back to the shelter dog behavior he'd had when we first met him 6 months ago. After a few weeks, we got Dash back with some new skills, and just as happy as the day before we dropped him off. Thank you so much!!

SADT worked miracles on my Giant Schnauzer pup. He was so crazy and becoming harder to handle. I had already tried the training program at PetSmart with no luck. After he injured himself one night from jumping around, I knew we both needed help asap! I opted for the three week program and have absolutely zero regrets. My boy came back almost a completely different pup. He was obedient and listening. Rebecca worked with me on all of the commands. She was extremely patient with me and helped me feel more comfortable with the commands since I was completely out of my element. A few weeks after he completed training, Jonathan came out and did a follow up with us and helped me with some additional issues I was having. My boy is now well behaved and goes everywhere with us. Five months later and I am still trusting them with my boy. The boarding program is excellent and really takes a huge burden off of my shoulders when I have to leave town. I am beyond grateful for Jonathan, Rebecca, and the rest of the staff at SADT. Not only did they help us with training but I truly feel like I have a found a home away from home for my boy which is by far one of the most important things to me.

Jonathan and his team are the best when it comes to dog training. It's also an excellent, clean and safe place to board your dog. My dog loves them and loves going. Convenient hours.

We brought our dog, Whiskey, to San Antonio Dog Training Co because she would get nervous around other dogs. We had an initial meeting to see the extent of training she would need and Jonathan was able to instantly calm her down right away! We had never seen her so calm around another dog until then. We opted for the 2 week board and train. When we went to pick Whiskey up, she was a completely different dog in the best way possible! Once a leash puller, she was heeling on command. Previously she'd bark and growl at other dogs, and now she was off leash in the same room with another dog. When Jonathan was showing us all the commands on pick up day, I would occasionally mess it up, but he was very helpful and educational and made sure my husband and I were comfortable with all of the commands. He answered every and all questions we had. We were also sent photos of her progress (upon asking) during the boarding period. I would definitely recommend San Antonio Dog Training Co for any dogs that need that extra bit of training and patience. For the first time this weekend, we were able to take Whiskey to our local dog run and she was off leash and playing with other dogs. We never would have dreamed this was possible!

I highly recommend San Antonio Dog Training Co. for your fur babies educational needs. In my opinion, Jonathan and his staff worked miracles with our doggie Toby (11 month old Labrador and Pit Bull Terrier Mix). Not only did Toby come back with the same puppy energy but also so well mannered and obedient after his time with SADTC. The added bonus, Toby can now be inside our home and not be a terror. We look forward to continuing Toby’s training as we continue to socialize him at all of San Antonio’s pet friendly locations.

Get place for training and boarding and really affordable for the quality of service. Jonathan and his staff are awesome and very knowledgeable.

In 2017 we sent our German shepherd to training with Jonathan for 2 weeks. Prior to training, our pup was hyper, didn’t listen to commands, nip at us, and didn’t get along well with our bulldog. When we went to pick him up after the two weeks, it was a completely new pup! He listened, was obedient and I could even let him off his leash without worrying if he’d run off! Amazing! Recently, about a month ago, we sent our now 2 year old German shepherd back to Jonathan for another 2 weeks for a “refresher” as we had a long trip ahead of us and had never traveled with a pet before. Our pup was already obedient, but just very energetic, and we wanted to just have a refresher for both ourselves and our pup. About a week in, we had a check in with Jonathan and Mack, and already could tell a difference. He was much calmer, and incredibly obedient. So at 2 weeks, he was more than ready to take on the long trip we had. It was our first time traveling with a pet, and we didn’t know how he’d take it, but it was so much easier than expected, and we credit this all to Jonathan and his awesome staff! Our pup was around lots of people, other dogs, unfamiliar places, and he did so well with all these factors. He used to have a problem with barking at other dogs, and now, he just strolls on by with no issues! It’s great! We’re able to take him out on walks, knowing there’ll be other dogs and people around, and even let him walk without a leash! Thank you Jonathan and your staff for helping us and Mack!!

I went from having to check if the neighbors were outside before i took the dog out and being scared to walk my dog to having people come up to me in and say how well behaved my dog is. I can't thank Jonathan and his team enough.

SADTC is incredible! They took on our Rottie Titan with nipping issues. They explained to us how he was a nervous dog not an aggressive one and how to handle him. His training and ours has helped a lot. He’s now a well trained boy who loves to please! We board both Titan and Ruger at SADTC and couldn’t be happier. Thank y’all so much!

They transformed our dogs behavior and we now have more control over her, especially around unfamiliar dogs. She listens to us and no longer seems anxious around them.

SADT did an amazing job with our 9 month old lab! Their work with her built skills that enable us to take her to places that are crowded and distracting to her but she remains alert to us and she shows manners and restraint with her behavior. We are grateful for their work with her and their continued support.

A good friend of mine has 3 dogs that are his world !! He went out of town for a week & left his fur babies w/ you guys !! All 3 of them are old & I told my friend that I would stop by & check on his dogs since this was the 1st time he’d ever left them @ a kennel . I was lost & on the way there greeted by 2 really nice gentlemen on the street . I walked in & explained to them I wanted to check in on the dogs & FaceTime my friend so he could see his kids . The place is immaculate. They brought out all 3 & let me FaceTime with their dad . They even let me go to where they had them stored in the back . That was immaculate. It was cool , spacious . They kept all 3 of them together which I thought was awesome !! So if you’re looking for a spot to take your dogs come here !! If I ever get a dog I’ll definitely would trust to leave them here

It's been about a year since we first started with SADTC, and I still cannot say enough good things about this business. I wish I would have contacted Jonathan before trying several other training options, but I was (foolishly) afraid to send the problem child away for several weeks. Our large shepherd mix rescue had fairly significant fear aggression. He was adopted from ACS and they didn't know his backstory, which must have been pretty bad since he was on death's door when he came home with us. Although he is perfect with our little terrier and cat, he acted like his life was in mortal danger if we came across ANY other dog, large or small. Walking him was an absolute nightmare. It was upsetting to see because he is a gentle soul without a mean bone in his body. SADTC does a free evaluation of your dog rather than charge $250 - $500 for an initial evaluation that will be credited to your account IF you hire him, like essentially every other training co in the area. I was shocked at what he did with my dog at the evaluation and wanted to leave him that same day. Our time finally came and the weeks passed and when my husband and I walked into the facility to pick him up, I almost cried seeing Suge sitting politely, unleashed, across the room from Jonathan's dog Hades. Jonathan showed us what to do moving forward and it has only gotten better since then. We can actually walk him around the neighborhood and park without issue. He will never be a dog that can romp with stranger dogs in the enclosed dog park, but I am perfectly pleased with the outcome. We did all the follow up appointments and Jonathan even met us several times at a park that isn't close to his facility so we could work with both dogs. He's very responsive to questions, listens carefully and is thorough in his responses. The price is insignificant compared to what you get. If you're having problems with your dog, call Jonathan today. His classes always seem booked so you'll likely have a few weeks wait before you can start the program.

Great place for dog training and great for boarding prices are very good I board my dog here several times a year . People are great they great my dog as if he is part of the family

It's not very often that a business is given a perfect 5 star rating with nothing less than excellent reviews along with it. I just moved to San Ant from Pennsylvania and brought my adult male German shepherd Frisco with me. A friend and I did some searching and found that this place was by far the best place in the area. Jonathan is beyond an outstanding trainer, dog whisperer and expert who offers a very well managed training and boarding facility. I brought my dog in for a 2 week program focusing on his aggression issues toward people and other animals. Jonathan knows his stuff extremely well. My dogs aggression is not completely gone due to the type of breed he is but definitely a major change in his behavior since working with Jonathan and his expert sraff. I strongly and highly recommend this place. There aren't any negative reviews here for a reason. Thanks Jonathan for making my dog and I more sucessful

You really delivered us a well behaved dog like we wanted, no more bites, jumping around and been hyper all the time, you teach him how to calm down and be able to stay down and relax, not to mention no more pulling on leash, sitting when stop and stay until called. Im already following your teachings and doing sessions off-leash. We really appreciate what you did with Riley.

I left my crazy 6 month old puppy with Johnathan for two weeks and received a well behaved sweeter Dakota! Dakota is more considerate and seems to be more in attentive with each of our family members. We highly recommend Johnathan!!!

My husband and I met with Jonathan when our German Shepherd Dog started having some aggression issues with other dogs and visitors to our home. After the evaluation, our hopes were high that he would be able to help us all work through the issues with the board and train program. He wasn't sure if our dog would need the two or three week program. We'd have to see how he did in the training. While he was in training, we got updates and a few pictures of his progress. After two weeks, I was surprised to hear that our dog didn't need a third week of training. It would have been easy for Jonathan to say he needed another week and collect the extra money but he was very honest. When it was time to pick him up, we were totally amazed and so happy with his progress. I couldn't believe how he stayed by my side while walking past other dogs and sat when I stopped. I am so happy to be able to walk him peacefully again. Also, when we have visitors, he stays right on his bed and doesn't even bark at them. Everyone is shocked at the difference in him when they come over. All other little annoying behaviors that weren't even main issues are now solved (jumping, barking in the yard and car, not coming when called). He's like a perfect dog now! I love the program because it includes four follow up training sessions. So far we've used two and they've really helped us brush up on our training and answer any questions we have. I can't recommend San Antonio Dog Training Company enough! Taking our dog there was one of the best decisions we've made.

Being that we live 4 hours away, we searched for a place for weeks and decided on San Antonio Dog Training Co. Jonathan was very flexible with our schedule and treated our German Shepherd Kyra with the upmost respect. At first glance the location in a business district is questionable for a dog training facility but after taking a tour it is designed to accommodate just that. We could not be more pleased with the progress that our one year old has made due to the training. The fact that we went from a prong collar to no leash in a matter of two weeks is dumb founding after working for months with her. We would highly recommend San Antonio Dog Training Co. and it's well worth the money. Thanks again Jonathan for your time and education.

Had a great experience with the San Antonio Dog Training Co. Jonathan and his Staff were excellent. My Belgian Shepherd Daisy went thru the 2 week training program and I was pleasantly surprised with the results. How do you make a great dog better? Well they sure did ! I highly recommend this organization for anyone looking for a very good training program for their dog.

Jonathan helped me train my rescue Angel a border collie mix. Didn't even know where to start with her hyper personality. She wouldn't listen and when she did it was for a short time and then she was off to something else. Now I can tell her a command and she does it on the spot and waits for me to tell her another command. His training is amazing, definitely recommend taking your furry kiddo here!
