1st visit they saw my dog right away. 2nd visit some how they over saw me and saw 2 people that got there after me. I had an appointment both times. But they addressed my issue right away and saw my dog promptly. Everyone was nice. The only thing is we could not go inside with her, we had to wait in our car. Overall I like this place and will keep bringing my dog here.

Always have a great experience here! Our dogs never give us trouble dropping them off and when we pick them up it is great to hear that they were very well behaved for someone else. Thank you all for the care for our fur-babies. Much appreciation!

Took my kitten in for a checkup. They were incredibly sweet, and took great care of my fur baby. We didn't have to wait ages to schedule an appointment, even though my call was pretty last- minute, they were able to sneak us in. They were thorough with their explanations on what was going on and made sure I knew how to treat her. Definitely pleased.

A bit on the pricey side, but my dog is in great health and they really do take care of you here. The Covid-19 protocols are awesome to keep everyone safe, so I really appreciate that.

Mr Youssef Charged me for X-rays I never approved of and misdiagnosed my dog, and due to that misdiagnosis my dog has died today from cancer. Never trusting this place again . I wish I could of put no stars .

I cannot thank North Star Animal Hospital and Dr. Youssef for helping my family dog. We brought him in terrible condition and they laid out a few plans of action for us and we were able to select the one that covered what we needed while staying in budget. I honestly will be keeping my animals here for as long as this wonderful staff is around.

Dr. Youssef and the staff are amazing! They are all super knowledgable and make your pet's health and care their number 1 priority! They are very good with communication and help you out with anything you need. THE best place in San Antonio to put your trust in to take care of your pet!

I only wish I would have come here sooner. I brought my pup to Dr. Youssef for a second opinion, after my regular vet said he was fine. My dog wasn’t fine, and the next day Dr. Youssef saw us quickly and explained my options, as he was dying. The experience was traumatic, but Dr and team did their best to provide comfort, and the cremation services were top notch and fast. I’ve been to 4 other vets in the area, and this is the only one who I actually trusted. Highly recommend!

Felt we were listened to and our beloved Labrador was well taken care of... Expensive but the ability to get lab results within a short period, 30 minutes, was a big plus. The vet was thorough in his explanations, the technicians were kind and loving toward our Harley.

Seem friendly but the prices are double what most places charge for the same services. Compare and save a lot of money

Pay close attention to what they are charging you for, I came in for both my dogs annuals shots; i had called the day before and was quoted $202 total for each pet. it included annual shots, heart worm exam and the visit. Then $350 for two 6-month treatments of simparica. I expected my total to be $754. The assistant brought out paper and stated fees for annuals and we had a brief discussion about the simparica treatment. I handed her my card and when i got my receipt back they had charged me $854. When i called and asked why the total was $100 over they said it’s because of the “optional” flu vaccine. She immediately knew which charge was making the unexpected total. I didn’t agree to this “optional” flu vaccine nor did they ask me if i wanted this included. I had only came in for rudimentary annual shots. I have been coming here for a couple years but that is my last time. I had another incident with this clinic last year during quarantine, i brought my dog in after she had ate the padding from the chicken breast package, i just wanted to make sure she was ok and it wasn’t causing any blockage to which dr confirmed she was ok. But the doctor said my dog had a couple other problems like an ear infection and something else but I don’t remember. my dog hadn’t been exhibiting any symptoms of discomfort or behaving out of character. I thought it was a strange diagnosis. Maybe because it was slow during quarantine they were trying to hustle what they could. I don’t trust this clinic, i will not be coming back and will warn my friends of this place. If you continue to go here, be careful, pay attention to all charges and get a second opinion if necessary.

I've had many vets over the years but North Star is the best. I trap stray cats and his prices are reasonable. He never says he's too busy to fix the cats I trap. Some places wanted me to have an appointment two weeks in advance but I don't know if I'm going to trap a cat on that date.

Too overpriced and they didn’t even helped.

They were everything I couldn't ask for! The empathy and compassion ❤ they showed towards my dear friend and I at a very difficult time was truly a blessing and I am grateful ???? I would highly recommend.

Very bad service, the doctors are very unsympathetic, give you wrong information about your pet, as well as charge you a lot of money for bad service. Don’t go here !

We have been a customer for many years. In 2020 we had the pleasure of having David as our technician between the Vet. David is amazing and his love for animals is apparent within the first seconds of interaction. I imagine he has hundreds of customers and he manages to always remember us. I actually get disappointed when someone other than David shows up and will start asking for David when scheduling appointments. David - keep up the great work and attitude and you are one of the primary reasons we come back!

They stayed past hours treating my little dog's broken leg. They're so calm, friendly and motivated to help. I really do trust them and look forward to future visits.

Wanted an arm and leg to fix cat 400oo dollars

Too expensive ....Becareful they rip people off... I needed heartworm medicine and nexguard for 1 month supply they charge $68 dollars and for 6 months supply they were charging me $242 dollars ( my dog weighs 90 pounds). went to another vet for 3 months supply they charged $98 dollars and for 6 months supply they charge me $ 171.... Becareful people they are ripping people off ...

The worst experience ever in my life as a pet owner and getting her treated at this location is a definite no go.????????
