Went yesterday on 1/10/22, and met the staff and Dr.E. Meier. Due to a confusion, dr was very polite to clarify the appointment confusion????. He evaluated my female chihuahua who was estimated to be 3 years of age from ACS, but turns out she is between 7 and 9 years instead. He was very professional and courteous with me on my 1st visit and gave me some good advice about what I could give her that would be over the counter for her joint pain and allergies. And not only that gave me a referral to a ophthalmologist for my pet. Would highly recommend this vet but his hours changed and no longer works on Saturdays.

Dr. Meier is very helpful and staff is very friendly.

Recently had to put our dog down they were nothing but perfect for the situation that was happening. No questions were asked and after the fact gave us plenty of time for us to say our good byes. They are priced very well and staff is very friendly.

Dr. Meier has always been very thorough when explaining my GSD ailments and how to care for him and make him comfortable while dealing with his hip dysplasia. He always has time to answer all my questions.

They have always treated me and my puppers with love and kindness!! Love it here

My family just moved from Washington And was referred by Facebook San Antonio local site. The staff was friendly they answered any questions we had also prices are very reasonable.

Great service and friendly staff . The doctor was very compassionate for my mother’s dog . They even accommodated mean because I was running late .

Schedules an appointment for my cat to be seen and was told it would be at 3pm. I get a confirmation call telling me the appt would be at 4 because 3 had been double booked. They couldn’t tell me who messed up the appt time a lot. I can only assume it was the girl I spoke to on the phone. She said to go at 3 anyway but that Id be waiting. I ended up going anyway hoping they would call us in, we sat there and waited a good while. My cat started to severely pant. I reached out to another vet clinic and they informed me that it was called “mouth breathing” and that I needed to bring her ASAP. I drove down the street to the other vet clinic and they quickly took her to the back to be seen and put on oxygen. Telling me she was under alot of stress from sitting in the car and for cats, panting is not normal. I told them where I was at and they told me to never take my animal to this specific clinic because I’m not the first one to complain to them about their service and office staff. Keep in mind I made it to this new place, saw the doc and talked to the staff while my cat got examined and they still hadn’t called us to go inside. When they finally called, I decided to not answer since I was told Of the rudeness of this staff and I believe it based on my experience and the other reviews. Do not recommend.

The first appointment went well. The rest of the appointments went down hill. I had an appointment yesterday morning and the people at the front desk were rude and not very professional. My dog only needed her booster shot and the were going to give her shot in there lobby instead of one of the exam room but when I asked them to clip her nails they took her in a exam room without me but I requested to go back with my dog but the front desk people just ignored me and my husband. I asked to talk to the office manager but the dr is the office manager and he won’t be in the office until Thursday. I’m paying to see the dr not paying to see his staff

When I moved here I took my dog in for a check up and I have been impressed ever since. Dr Meier and his staff are attentive, kind, and only interested in what is best for your pet. The prices are extremely reasonable and same week appointments are usually available. As long as I live here this is where I'll take my dog Misty.

Dr Meir is a excellent veterinarian as I can’t express my gratitude for his professionalism and superb experience he fully examined my dog who which was diagnosed with heart failure I came to him for a second opinion which I could not expect that my dog wasn’t going to make it he literally sat on the floor with me and explained how I needed to think of my pet and not my self as I couldn’t deal with losing him trying to keep him alive and at home was only going to prolong his suffering thank you dr Meir for the time and your recommendation as I needed to face the truth I dearly loved my boy as I am heart broken your staff was wonderful and compassionate I can’t express my gratitude for your help thank you

My beloved dog and i suffered a major car accident. She wouldn’t eat nor drink nor do duty for several days. After that she often cried, and she panted all the time. After a few weeks of witnessing her distress, i looked past my own hurts and visited dr. Meier and his attentive staff. He has my dearest best friend now under his good care, and i was in no way price gouged and taken for extended and costly “rides” like my own specialist has done. I admire his compassion for my dog, his humanity, and his ability to maintain a likewise caring staff. I heartily recommend him to my neighbors and residents of Leon Valley. He is sterling. And kind. ????

I have alot of faith and trust in Leon Valley Clinic. I took my oldest cat there when she was a kitten 8 yrs ago. Dr.Meier has taken care of her All the way. Now my new addition is a kitten And he is so good with her. His front office cares.

I've been taking my pets to Dr Meier for 20 years. Best Veterinarian in San Antonio. Hands Down. Doesn't rip you off. Explains everything to you. Doesn't rush you. He helped 2 of my dogs cross over to Rainbow Bridge. Very compassionate. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I could not recommend them enough. My dog is 11 years old. After moving here, I took my dog in after a recommendation, for a check up and then a service. The vet was thorough, quick, timely and cost effective.

I took my puppy to get up to date with her shots and an exam on her breathing. Dr. Mieir was great. Personally I really appreciate when professionals talk through every thing they’re doing which is exactly what he did. I would recommend him to any animal owners.

Excellent service and diagnosis by Dr. Mier for our 18 year old cat BUFFY who's trying to live out her last peaceful days as painless as possible. Great front office customer service, reasonable rates...so glad we went there to our new vet! Give them a try ????

My Cat Whiskers needed help and they worked him in quickly and the lady who answers the phones was very helpful very polite and I couldn't be more pleased with the service or the price thank you Leon Valley Vet clinic!!!

Staff is really nice! And their pricing isn't too bad considering the all the services they provide :) only thing is that the floor when you walk in is very dirty. Like it's unsanitary.

The vet squeezed us in despite a busy schedule and promptly saw our dog.

The vet that works at this clinic is the most compassionate gentleman I've seen in a very long time. We were a army family so I've dealt with a lot of vets.
