My doggo absolutely loves it. She runs to the car and up the ramp everyday, so excited to see her freinds!!!

I brought my dog here for one night of boarding with doggy daycare the second day. Pricing was competitive with other kennels, and my dog seemed to have a lot of fun. He slept like a rock when I brought him back home which is always a good sign. The staff were attentive and clearly loved dogs.

They take great care of my dog and they're conveniently right by Ft Sam

Have brought our dogs there twice now for long trips and they have been amazing every time! One of our dogs does have separation anxiety and they work really well with her and made it so much less stressful for her which is a huge plu!

I can’t say enough good things about GDK - Asha (GSD, Weimaraner, Great Dane mix) absolutely LOOOOOOOOVES going there. As soon as we turn onto their street, she’s practically knocking the window out with her tail wagging to get to them. As soon as she gets back in the car after a day with them, she passes out, a super happy pup ????

We have been taking our dog to them for years and we will continue to utilize their service. Amazing rates, wonderful customer service, and our dog is always happy when we pick him up.

Our big 140 lbs. Great Pyrenees loves Green Dog like no other day care! He knows exactly where we're headed as soon as we get off the highway, and he loves to visit! His very first night of boarding was a cinch with the incredible staff, and their policies have been excellent throughout the pandemic. Great downtown location too!

My NamPueng’s second favorite place from home! The staff are great. Dogs are well treated and well behaved their. Dogs needs socializing, if you love them, please bring them here. I buy punch card so it is much cheaper than paying time by time. Oh I love that they write dog report to parents too. We love to know what our furry daughter does at school. We keep all of them in her profile book. The photo is not from the kennel but I just would like show our dog :).

I needed to board our border collie mix for a day while we were in San Antonio. The staff was friendly. She came back and I'm almost 100% sure they bathed her while she was with them. She smelled great! I only paid $30 for the night and would highly recommend this place to anyone who's looking.

Not sure what happened with my first review but let me reiterate my stance on GDK. My dal has been going since she was two months and up to this day, gets super excited to see her friends. I have to convince her to come home with me because she loves this place so much! We’ve been going for almost three years now and I can’t express the many times GDK has helped me through unexpected emergencies. Above all, my hyperactive girl gets the fun and play all day and after work, we come home to relax and not have to worry about having to get her exercise for the day. I wanted to share a pic of her and her BFF at Green Dog. ❤️

This is the best daycare in the entire city, hands down. I've been coming regularly for daycare and grooming for a few years, so I'm not just a weekend boarder. I have a pittie and a few places that shall remain nameless (but definitely are not in the sky with diamonds) would not even give my dog an assessment because of her breed. Some history - I rescued my little Blue when she was a tiny puppy in Austin. I immediately started training her and socializing her. It was my first time being a dog dad so I went overboard on the books lol. Luckily she is amazing, and I had some incredible experiences at daycares in Austin that socialized her well, and now she is *literally* the most chill dog you have ever freaking seen. Let's little dogs boss her around, plays hard with the big dogs, let's puppies chew on her ears, seriously freaking chill. So when I moved down here and started running across breed restrictions I was dumbfounded. Like, your chihuahua is way more statistically vicious so get out of here with that noise. Anywhoo, finally found Greendog and Lola, and my little Blue couldn't be happier. She gets to play alllllllll day, they update social media with pics and videos, the even let me know when she has a new boyfriend. My girl gets around, don't judge! They take things on a case by case basis, so I trust the owners and staff to create a healthy and safe environment for my little baby. Thanks for everything y'all do!!!

Green dog kennels is the best place to bring your puppies, awesome employees, I wouldn’t trust anyone else in town!!

This is my favorite place I've ever left my pups. They really know my dogs even after only a couple of visits. They greet them by name & my dogs love being there. One of mine has special requirements- he has a k9 epilepsy & needs medication daily. They've worked with him brilliantly & kept me updated when he has had a seizure episode. I feel safe leaving him here, especially with owners living on site. You can honestly tell every member of staff loves & understands dogs. They take exceptional care of them & genuinely love their job.

Great location for folks that work near JBSA FSH. The wide open play space and ability to have playtime with other dogs means my puppy comes home exhausted and happy -yay! The owner is absolutely terrific, great staff, I could not be happier.

My dogs (one 11 yrs. old and the other 1 yr 9 months) love Green Dog Kennels and they have great prices for boarding and daycare. They have the best of both worlds for young and old dogs alike. If not for Green, I wouldn't have been able to adopt and save my formerly foster young dog because her playtime at Green helps us manage her high energy. They were also very patient with socializing her because she had never been to doggy day care and was scared to go at first, but then she had a blast and Lola send me text and e-mail updates of her acclimating. While she gets her craziness out with the other young pups, our old guy likes it because instead of having forced structured play times outside, he gets to come in for some R&R whenever he wants. I stopped taking him to another "fancier" place next to our house because it got too stressful for him, and I could tell he was much happier when I picked him up at Green.

The staff is very helpful and have a very good attitude. The dogs get attention that they need. They pay respects to the dogs that have passed away. Over all I will take my Bart back to there place.

I have been boarding/dog-caring my dogs at Green Dog Kennels for over 10 years, and I think my dogs may love them a little more than me! GDK is a local, family-run business that truly takes care of the pups like family. Also important to me - they are honest and transparent - from pricing/amenities (a comparison chart is posted just inside their door of prices and services versus other dogcare places - showing their prices are more affordable, but other places may offer more amenities - with all of those places' contact information). They are also honest and transparent with the dogs (with a lot of experience) in evaluating the dog's behavior - and reporting any issues (while recommending training tips).

I love Green Dog! Dogs are not left in kennels all day , they get to play and run and sleep in kennels at night for their safety. I am one of those crazy pet owners, and don't want to leave town because of my dogs, but I can now ONLY b/c of Green Dog. I will ONLY leave my dogs here. Vets leave your dogs in kennels all day, and for probably 14 hours overnight usually. They get out for two pees usually. Other daycares leave the dogs in kennels for almost all of the day, with a couple play times. Green Dog is the best - my dog may be dusty when I pick him up from playing in the yard all day but he is TIRED and HAPPY. I am grateful for Green Dog, seriously, without them, I couldnt leave town. They also do day care so your dog can go there and play all day and go home tired and happy - the best thing you can do for a dog is get them tired through play!

We have been using Green Dog Kennels since we PCSd to Fort Sam and it has been a very convenient place to drop off our lab Samson when my wife and I have things to do and can’t fully take care of him. Prices are reasonable and we haven’t had any issues, they also give military discounts which is always appreciated. The staff is friendly and the owner Lola is a nice lady. She answers all of our questions/concerns regarding our dog. I would definitely recommend

My deaf terrier mix goes every day for the past 5 years and loves playing with her friends! They take great care of her and she gets lots of exercise!

I could not have asked for a better place to drop my dog for daycare while I was on a trip to San Antonio. I will admit the night before her first day, I got a little nervous after digging deeper into some reviews on Google. But, I took a chance and I’m glad I did. Green Dog had my dog for 10-12 hours a day and she seemed to love it. Their hours worked perfectly for me. Drop off and pick up were easy. Their location is so perfect if you’re anywhere near Fort Sam Houston or the Pearl District. I will definitely use Green Dog again when the time comes. Thank you for taking great care of my girl!
