I've had a great experience with this rescue! They do amazing work taking in abandoned and abused dogs of pretty much any size, breed, and age, and were amazing to adopt from as well! I live in a different state and adopted a puppy from them about four months ago, and everything from their application process to approval and transport of my dog was so organized and well done. I was able to talk to the foster about my puppy to learn more about his personality before I got him, and I was very well informed and comfortable through the entire long-distance adoption process. I highly recommend rescuing a new family member through God's Dogs!

This is the most wonderful rescue that takes dogs of all kinds not just the pretty ones , the easy ones, the healthy ones or even the friendliest ones! God’s Dogs never gives up on a dog and treasures the most unwanted dog like a valued family pet! They have saved many , many dogs just in the nick of time from our rural city shelter in deep east Texas!!! If you ask them every single dog we send is their favorite!!! Thank you God’s Dogs!

A very caring and nurturing staff, in a rural setting on the SW side. Visiting hours are 1-3p, weekdays and by appt. Don't be dissuaded by the drive or setting, they care so much about these dogs and it shows. I highly recommend!

Horrible communication. Applied a few times with ZERO communication. And then I was Was approved for puppy adoption. Set my other dog for spay in nov to ensure everything would be good. Apparently that wasn't fast enough. So I found another vet and changed it to early September. After I purchased over $400 in puppy supplies/toys I was told I was disapproved because my dog wouldn't be spayed in time?!? No leeway whatsoever. So disappointed in this rescue. This was my first experience with a rescue and will be my last.

Adopted our Great Pyrenees mix from GDR 2 years ago. It was an adoption event at a petsmart; we had seen a picture of the cutest little puppy ever. Morgan(formerly Bonanza) is the best, most gentle dog we could ask for. Thank you GDR, Debbie, staff and volunteers for caring for our boy.

Thank you so much God’s Dog Rescue for doing what you do once again I have a very special Chihuahua mix name Cha-Cha that I love very, much with the help of a very dear friend and person Karin that’s been looking out for GDR for sometime now. This is my second Chihuahua mix and her name is Katy Brown. Anyway I love dogs and GDR was very helpful to lighten the load getting my baby Cha-Cha Sean by a veterinarian thank you.

My family and I adopted a dog from this rescue who bit children/adults. sadly we decided to give the dog up after training, medication, different harnes/leashes thinking they would find a better environment for the dog not around people. We told them about the dog and said our goodbyes. A couple days later we see the dog on the website with the attributes shown in the photo.

Such a great group of people! We adopted through them, and during the adoption process we learned a lot about the rescue group. Everyone we had contact with at the rescue had a passion to help dogs and find them great homes. Cannot say enough good things about them.

Just a waste of time. If you see an animal you like to adopt the chances of them actually being given to you is close to 0%. It's always the same story: that the animal you wanted was already given away to someone else. They also have no phone number to call to speed up the adoption process which is very unprofessional. They also want you to fill out a long tedious/useless application that is very similar to a job application which is a joke. 0 stars. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone I know.

Great rescue! They care for the pets and try to save as many as they can. Abd if you are wanting to adopt, they search for the best match for you and your living situation.

Friend submitted an adoption application and never heard back. It's been almost a month now and we now know the dogs have been adopted via petfinder. I'm aware It's run by volunteers, but don't state you will respond or hear back within 5-7 days to potential adopters if it takes even longer than that. They lack the common courtesy to even email or call back for an update. To this day we still haven't been contacted by the rescue.
