I notice my dog urine was brown and thick and I immediately called my regular vet. After several voice-mail I felt frustrated so I decided to looked around for other options. I found Alamo Ranch Animal Hospital and after reading some reviews I decided to give them a call. The person I spoke to was really nice and understood my concerns. The soonest they could scheduled was Friday (3 days after the call) so I decided to pick that appointment and continue trying my regular vet. I got a call back from my vet and the soonest they could see my do was about 2 weeks. So I decided to keep Alamo Ranch appointment. I arrived 30 minutes early and checked in. Within 15 minutes one of the vet assistance went to my car and began taking my dogs history. She was really nice, and when she saw my dog I could see she really care and felt compassion for it. We got into a room and we met Dr Shannon. Since the vet assistant already took my dog urine sample, she was able to look under the microscope and told us our dog had a severe UTI and explained to us the treatment and the procedure she recommended. We agreed to do it but in my mind I was worried about the bill coming close to $1k. Dr Shannon came back after performing Xrays and explained the treatment and gave us the antibiotics and the special food she prescribed. She was really sweet and professional. It really shows she had love and compassion for animals. She answer all our questions and we where send our way. Then we go to the front desk and I already was nervous to see the bill. They told us $400. I was relieved. When I looked at the bill they charge us only $50 for 2 weeks of antibiotics. My regular vet charged us about 3 years ago $150 for the same antibiotics. We were so pleased that my wife and I decided to continue with Alamo Ranch Animal Hospital. We are so grateful for there help and the compassion the showed to us and our dog. They deserve a 10 out of 5 stars.

Amazing customer service! Dr. Shannon was friendly and kind with our fur kids. She took her time explaining everything and answering any of our questions. We will definitely be making this our home clinic.

Vet and staff are professional but also very nice. Treat animals with care and don't rough handle them automatically. I would recommend.

Did not feel like my dogs were cared about at all! We have had a few emergencies with our pups and whenever I called they said they couldn't see them or squeeze them in for a while & offered no advice or help. Super disappointing

I brought my dog in for his first exam at this vet hospital. Dr. Shannon and the technician were great! I have a very active and hyper young dog but they still provided an efficient yet comprehensive exam. Dr. Shannon explained everything thoroughly and was very professional and friendly! I will definitely be returning for any future vet needs!

The receptionist was very helpful and kind when I explained that our current vet was full and that I had been looking for an appointment for over an hour. They went out of their way to accept our fur baby as a new patient. The technician was the absolute best tech I've ever encountered at a pet facility. I thought she was the vet until she said she'd send the doctor in. She was also very friendly, professional, and empathetic. The doctor explained everything thoroughly and in a very loving manner. I'm so glad we found this place. We will definitely use them again.

Loved this place! It's a drive for us but so happy. They are super friendly and very knowledgeable. Ask any questions and they kindly answer them. They also are great with kids when they are concerned about their new puppy! Felt they were honest and just the best place around. The vet techs and Dr. Shannon was amazing!!

They always make me happy on how I see them treat my fur babies with so much patience and care and love as if they are there own I love how much knowledge of both veterinarians have that work there and all the text that work there the receptionist they do an amazing job they really do talk and make sure they talk good enough but long enough to make sure you understand what they're talking about and if you have any questions they answer and it is spot on I had no issues with them ever

Vet...great. Assistant...very kind and gentle. Moderately irritated at the tall, typical sized female w/colorful hair for refusing my tot the use of the lobby restroom to prevent a clothing accident. Yet you asked me to wait 10 mins that turned into 30 mins....WOOOOONDERFUL customer service. The first encounter in a business from the front desk staff can negate any subsequent excellent service from the provider. I'll still give the other staff a great rating.

They do it ALL here! Vaccines Neutering Grooming (they offer sedation, if you need your buddy groomed but isn't the most cooperative, but you must ask staff fpr this addition) Staff is incredibly friendly, professional, and transparent!

Their email service sends you appointment reminders like clockwork for the usual shots and medical check ups but you're on your own if your pet is actually sick. Despite this being a "hospital" they don't leave room in their schedule for emergencies and turn your pet down heartlessly no matter how long you've been a "patient" there.

Scheduling will always be difficult for me due to my job, but these folks really worked with me to make sure we got our cat seen in a timely manner. Additionally, they are courteous and straight forward with their delivery of information, bad or good. Their prices are reasonable and their quality phenomenal.

I had a few issues prior to this big one like bills that didn’t make sense and the Dr’s just adding items to the bills. What took the cake was the letting my corgi Reinhardt go a week without insulin after he was diagnosed with diabetes. They gave me a prescription for vetsulin along with the u40 needles which I ordered. They told me to give them a call when the needles and vetsulin arrived so they could show me how give him his injections. The insulin arrived fast but the special needles were delayed. I called on Thursday to let them know the insulin had arrived but the needles had not and even asked them if there was a place to buy them and they said no because they were specially marked. Reinhardts condition nose dived over the weekend and I called them first thing in the morning because his needles had not arrived yet ,asking them if I could just pay them for the u40 syringes and it was only then they said they could sell me a box. They had Reinhardt wait from Thursday until Monday when they had needles available the entire time. The staff made an appointment to show me how to give him his insulin and two vet techs came out to my car and saw the condition Reinhardt was in and all they said was “awww poor baby” and told me to give him the injection. Reinhardts condition continued to get worse over the next few hours and despite the staff saying he just needed his insulin and he would be fine. I ended up listening to my gut and took him to Mission where he spent 4 days in ICU. As a courtesy I called Alamo Ranch Vet to let them know their patient had to be taken to the ER and I never heard back from them again. Not even a “hey how is Reinhardt?” I was a customer of theirs for several years and trusted them with my babies but after showing me their true colors I will never trust them again. Also Dr Shannon if you are reading this, Reinhardt made a full recovery. It’s a shame you and your staff failed him and abandoned him as a patient. The staff at Mission hospital made sure to give him the care you failed to.
