Called about nail trims and buffing for small fog size, it was $35, found that to be a little over the budget. However, located right on Austin Highway.

We had Dr. Pain (hope I spelled that right.) She was kind and truly cared about my two dogs. Also noticed we had just moved to the area and recommended some boosters they might need in SATX that they didn’t need where we moved from. I appreciated that. The vet tech Sam was great also. You can tell when people care vs just their job… and they all seemed to really care at Alamo Hills Animal Hospital.

Man I think this place is too notch. My ONLY complaint is the price. I believe this is higher prices because of it's location. It's a nice place but barely two people can be in the waiting room if they have dogs who want to interact. IDK if I'll keep taking the kids here...

I’ve been taking my cat here for the last year or so. The staff have always been super friendly and my cat is taken care of well. Easy to get appointments quickly. No complaints here, thanks for keeping my fur baby safe!

Alamo Hills I can’t thank enough for their services. Moved to Texas during the snow storm this past winter and that’s when they started care for our then 22 year old dog Taser. When we got here we thought her time had come. But with Dr Campbell and Dr Stella they were able to get our girl back in better health to get another 8 mo with her. We had hoped to just get another mo for her birthday to turn 23 but we got even longer! Something we are forever grateful for. Our old lady had her spunk back. They were there each time she needed a check up. They were very compassionate when we had to bring her in for her final day. Dr Stella was great at explaining the process and helped our our pass with ease. The company they use for cremation provided us with more than expected. Box with her name engraved. Her paw print impression and cards of condolences. Thank you guys for everything

Our lost cat was brought to this clinic, and I was emailed saying they reached out to her original adoption agency and found she was chipped to myself. The email asked if I wanted to be reunited with her or if I would want to surrender her to the new owner- from Erica. Erica told me she would give the people who had the cat my contact information and that they would be contacting me. 4 days went by and nothing, I found out who they were through social media and reached out myself. Low and behold alamo hills animal clinic let them leave with our cat. They would not surrender our cat until we payed their vet bills. Our cat was lost, we assumed she ran away and we’re deeply saddened by the loss of our family member. My husband and I are military and we were moved out of the state at this point, so we reached out to local police in San Antonio and they said they would escort us, and IF they would not surrender the cat we would then have to have a detective get involved. We reached back out to alamo hills clinic to try to find out more info, ask why she was released to them when she clearly belonged to someone else, and more importantly to get our cat back. we were told the alamo hills practice owner would be contacting us. It has been another 4 days and nothing from them. This is utterly ridiculous, unprofessional and so heartbreaking and disappointing.

If you are looking for a kind, knowledgeable and thorough veterinarian, look no further. AHAH's staff is amazing on all accounts. Dr. Payne truly has her patients best interest at heart and I couldn't be more thankful.

The best place for my baby. The doctors and office people are very kind and understanding. I moved from san Antonio but I still go back when my baby needs shots and care.

First vet we have gone to here in San Antonio and I must say I am beyond impressed with the professionalism and outstanding manner in which they handled Ollie. Ollie is a 5 year old male weimaraner and very shy, he hates going to the vet. Dr. Jehl saw him that day, and though Ollie was not pleased about being there, he definitely liked her. We were in and out quickly (just a yearly check up and shots) and Ollie got lots of treats. Of course he was still upset with me for taking him to the vet, but they could not have handled his timid personality better!

Dr. Jehl is my savior. Let me start by saying I could not have children, and my dogs are my kids. I started seeing Lauri 10+ years ago with my first pup Ginoboli. Trust me, he was a case. I loved him him though, and so did she. Through the years he developed diabetes, and then on to seizures. I remember Dr. Jehl telling me, "the day i have to tell you it is time to put Gino down is going to kill me." Gino lived far beyond his years thanks to Dr. Jehl's care, love and brilliance. The day did come and we put Gino down, but she made it better for me. I ended up getting another dog Charlie. He will be 2 July 1. On Monday Charlie got so sick he almost died. He was with Lauri till today, and I truly believe she saved his life. I can't say enough about Dr. Jehl, I live in Boerne and come to san Antonio to see her, and to be honest I could live in New York and would do the same. She is a gem

Alamo hills animal hospital was great. I took my dog in for a possible fracture or broken leg, and the doctors assistant was very attentive and knowledgeable. The veterinarian was excellent with Ziggy and was fair about advicing me on treatment and x-rays for my dog. I am pleased with the quality of care my dog received, also highly recommend them as a pet parent. Thank you.

I can't believe what this place just did. I had taken my two dogs to them for two yrs with no issues until now. I'm in the military so I moved to another city and got a new veterinarian who charged me a lot of money to do an annual exam and on-board the dogs, prescriptions and all. I ended up going back to San Antonio for military orders two months later and ran out of medication for my 18yr old Yorkie, who has congestive heart failure. I called Alamo Hills and asked if they could do a refill, given as they were our veterinarian just a couple of months before. They said I'd have to bring my dog in for an exam if I wanted a refill. My dog had just had an exam ($400 +) so I asked them if they would do a consult fee instead of a yearly exam and I could forward all the records and exams from the new vet for them to read. I was told NO, because they NEEDED to do everything themselves AGAIN. I asked for options, they gave me none...not even 4 days worth of meds (which I would GLADLY pay for) so I could go to the other vet that weekend and not have to leave work to drive long distance. I just can't understand why?! They had given this same exact prescription for the same dog just two months before, and they could have access to the exam records if they wanted them to corroborate the diagnosis they already had. They didn't help at all. I was told that unless I scheduled for a 2nd exam with them, they would not give me the meds. I couldn't believe it (urine, blood test, etc), I had literally just completed all of that and there they were, asking for it all again and only because it was another vet who did the exam. So basically they are not dog friendly, they are money friendly. I can't spend $800 or so just so that my dog can have his medication. I had not anticipated running out of meds in the middle of military duty but now I have to drive 4 hrs total to pick these up and come back to work. So upset and disappointed. Been calling around town to see which pharmacy carries these, if any...

I've been taking Penny, my dachshund, here for years. Dr. Campbell & Dr. Payne are great - attentive, caring, and thorough. Though you might be paying a bit more, everything is always transparent. Staff is amazing as well - kind and friendly and ready to accommodate you and your pet. I highly recommend.
