Brought my cat in for an evaluation of a bump and with the treatment doctor muffin gave us it went away! He’s a very serious man and takes his patients care seriously. His wife is a sweetheart and together they run a quality and reasonably affordable vet clinic. I will return when my cat has more acute needs but on our last visit I didn’t receive the evaluation I requested for his insurance so I had to get one from a clinic closer to home.

This place is AMAZING! I HAVE A VERY ANXIOUS PITTBULL AND THEY KNEW JUST WHAT TO DO! Thanks yall! We wont be scared of the Vet anymore!

I have used Highway 79 since 2003. My goodness that's 15 years! I was accustomed to big city vets from Dallas. Dr. Kniffen is the best. He has accommodated the death of both of my girls since moving to Round Rock. I will not use another vet!

Dr. Kneffen is a no nonsense doctor and ensures the ultimate safety for my pets. Mary is a wonderful vet technician. I trust this Dr and his staff with my pets!!

Dr. Kniffin and Mary very clearly care deeply for their patients. They're incredibly kind and gentle with my cats. One of my cats does not do well with strangers, but they were able to put her at ease during her appointment (as much as a cat at the vet ever will be at ease). Dr. Kniffin always takes the time to explain everything clearly and ensures that we understand, as well as answering any questions we have. The quality of care is fantastic, and the prices are reasonable. They're very professional and they always follow-up with me promptly. When I've needed an urgent appointment, they manage to squeeze me in and I've never had to wait for very long in the waiting room or exam room. I've recently moved further away from his office, but will continue to make the longer drive here to ensure my pets get the best of care.

I have trusted this man with our pups for well over 12 years. Ive moved to waco and back and when I came back I trusted him with my shepherd Luna. Its now time to put her down and I appreciate how he referred her to a specialist before helping me make the ultimate decision. I appreciate that he gives you the facts. Doesn't sugar coat anything. If you need to take better care of your dog, he will be the first to let you know. He truly cares about these animals as if they were his own. He takes the TIME to explain EVERYTHING in great detail and answers all of your questions. He is there to do a job and he does it with much care and concern. Thank you for allowing me to trust you all these years.

Dr Kniffin has been my veterinarian since 1997. He and his staff are fun and very caring. His professionalism and dedication to the care of animals has far surpassed any experience I had prior to going to the Highway 79 animal clinic. I highly recommend going here for the care of your pets.

The staff are friendly, prices are reasonable ( less expensive than my pups other vet). Dr. Kniffin is honest and explains everything in terms I can understand!

Such a great little spot to bring my pup. My cousin and myself are always happy to bring Stitch and Tula for routine visits and vaccinations.

Dr. Kniffin has been our vet since we got Luke, (Pomeranian) as a puppy. It’s been a little over a year now. When Luke was around 6 months, he was attacked by a big dog and hurt pretty badly. We had to take him to the animal ER the doc told us about, wait a couple of days and then take him to our vet. Dr. Kniffin performed surgery on Luke and taught us how to care for Luke while he recovered. His wife works with him and is not only knowledgeable, but also kind and patient. There is no doubt, Luke could have died, but because of the great care he received at HWY 71 Animal Clinic, and at home after we were carefully taught what to do, Luke is not only alive, but nobody can even tell what happened to him. Besides the surgery, they take excellent routine care of Luke, and he is always happy to go there - for the medical care receives, is enhanced by a great show of affection. I highly recommend the clinic.

I have been taking my animals to Dr Kniffin and his wonderful staff since I was a child. He has been very understanding and answers all my questions. He is upfront about all my treatment options with all my furbabies.

The staff was very kind and patient with my pup and when discussing what was needed done with Rocky's teeth, Dr. Kniffin was very informative on the whole process.
