Fur Kids Grooming Round Rock, Texas

Fur Kids took extra time and attention with our high skittish dog after our previous groomer had labeled him a “bad dog”. We really appreciate the time taken to make him feel comfortable and calm during his groom. He always looks great!

Took our dogs here one time and had a good experience, so we took them in again. Unfortunately, we were really unhappy with the service the second time. First, when I made the second appointment, I was told the day of the week, but not the date. Naturally, I assumed when she said "How about Friday" that meant the upcoming Friday. I arrived only to learn that the grooming was scheduled for a Friday that was two weeks away. Came in that time, and when we picked our puppies up, the grooming appeared to be incomplete and not nearly as well done as the first time. I'm not sure if they had a stressful /booked day or something, but the job was not as good as the first time by a mile. More importantly, we noticed the next day our dogs were having a reaction under their collars. Their skin was dry and scabbing/bleeding. When we called to ask about the products used, there seemed to be an effort to completely absolve themselves of responsibility due to the amount of time that passed. We took our dogs to the Vet the next day and were informed that kind of reaction could happen if collars were left on during shampooing and if the shampoo was not completely cleaned out from under them. It was very upsetting. It felt like our pups were overlooked on a busy day, and that isn't acceptable to us. Paying $200 to get half-groomed dogs back with a skin reaction is just not our idea of good service. I am giving 2 stars and not 1 because the first time we went there we had no issue. The groomer was friendly. I think perhaps we had a one-off bad experience, but unfortunately due to the state our pups were in when we got them back + lack of empathy when we called to ask about it we are unlikely to use them again.

Fur Kids did such an amazing job grooming our dog! Everyone there is so extremely friendly and they clearly love dogs! The groomer listened closely to what we wanted and our pup looked even better than we could have imagined when we picked him up! I was also very impressed with the safety precautions they are taking due to COVID. They came out and met us in the parking lot to get our puppy and then brought him back out to us when he was done. The entire experience was the best grooming experience we have had and we will absolutely be back!

Amazing ladies and excellent service!

Fur Kids is always amazing with my dogs getting their full grooms and even just nail trims. One of my boys is difficult to groom because he hates nail trims, but Fur Kids staff make it to where grooming isn't stressful for him or for me any more. I wish I had found them sooner!

By far the BEST grooming experience I have ever received! The entire staff is extremely friendly, and took excellent care of my fur baby. The pricing is also especially reasonable. We will for sure be back! :)

My dogs stay at Shady Acres all the time, but I hadn't used the Fur Kids grooming service until this past weekend. I'm very pleased with the way my hounds look and smell (a good smelling hound dog mix is a rare treat, LOL)! Great job, y'all!

Been bringing our Australian Shepherd mix here for a few years now, for all of her grooming needs. She is not a dog that likes to be groomed, but they have done great with her. They consistently do a great job with her, whether it is getting her ready for summer or managing her undercoat during the colder months. The are generally able to see her, fairly soon after I contact them. It's the only place I even consider at this point.

Great service but little expensive

I was admittedly a little nervous about our puppy’s first visit to the groomer, but the staff at Fur Kids/Shady Acres were so nice and did a wonderful job with her haircut! I especially loved the report card and pretty portrait-style picture they took of her :)

For the first time we brought our dogs to you, you were attentive, positive, and hospitable. As pet parents, we're always a little nervous dropping them off somewhere new, but everyone at the front was extremely helpful. Your prices are also very reasonable. Special shout out to Ferne, the groomer who bathed and brushed our babies with such care. I loved that Ferne took written notes when I was first telling her about our dogs, it made us feel so valued. When we picked up our pups, they were clean and happy. Couldn't be happier. Thank you for such a positive first experience, we'll be back!

Very friendly the two times I've picked up my parents dogs from here. They always do a good job!

Megan is my favorite groomer to take Bella to. We have been through many groomers since we have moved so much over the past four years we have owned our dog. Out of all the groomers, Megan is the only one that has been able to get Bella exactly how I want her cut to be. She also gets her paws groomed perfectly, whereas everyone else gives up since my dog doesn't like her paws touched.
