The staff makes it a point to make you feel welcome. Your fur baby is there priority, and they take the upmost care in all of their procedures. The Doctor is extremely knowledgeable and understanding when creating treatment plans for your pet.

Staff and vets are fantastic, friendly, knowledgeable. They have taken amazing care of our boy Yogi!!

We have been clients of Dr. Smallwood for years. She has been helping our little wrecking ball of Bull Terrier I’m top form. Bumpy absolutely love her and her staff. I cannot say enough great things about her treatment and staff. A very clean and professional clinic. If your pet is having mobility issue, I very highly recommend to go see them.

We have taken our dog here for over a year for rehab, acupuncture, and laser therapy for IVDD. Dr. Smallwood, Dr. Leska, and ALL the assistants and staff are so kind to our dog and to us, and we are very grateful for their patience and understanding in helping us figure out how best to care for our dog. Having a dog who is paralyzed can be very difficult at times, but it is so nice to know we can trust everyone at Integrative Veterinary Wellness with his treatment and care. I brought my 13 year old pug here for a wheel chair fitting. The staff were fantastic. Very informative tweaked her chair to fit just perfect. Of course my sassy old lady doesn't want to walk but at least we can now work on walking, knowing her chair is right. I highly recommend.

My sister was told there was a two week waiting list, would have been nice to get in, she hurt the acl and has nerve damage in the other hind leg and I was hoping to get her in for accupunture

This place is excellent. Best veterinary experience I have ever had. The doctor was super professional and knowledgeable. They solved all our questions and concerns regarding our Golden. Our dog was having issues with allergies to heat and she is also a picky eater. We have come out with a solution on what to feed her according to her weight. Also, best value and quality.

Dr. Smallwood and her team are absolutely stellar! My corgi has been a patient for years to receive treatment for her hip dysplasia. I love the idea of holistic medicine, and I reached out when traditional medicine wasn't working as we had hoped. I really appreciate how they go the extra mile to make sure their patients receive appropriate treatment. They offer SO many options from hydrotherapy, rehab, therapeutic massage, and nutritional and supplement recommendations. They also helped my same corgi with recurrent UTIs. Holistic supplements managed to lower her urine pH (to dissolve the crystals in her urine), boosted her bladder and kidney health, and boosted her normal flora in about a month and a half. The results were so good, my traditional vet was shocked when her urinalysis came back as normal without using one of those Kidney health diets. These people know their stuff. Their approach WORKS, and my corgi has never been more active. Thank you to all of you here.

I have been taking all of my dogs to Dr. Smallwood for many years and for many reasons...arthritis issues, agility injuries, Senior dog issues, and general physical health maintenance. No matter what the issue, she always has an individual plan of treatment and it is remarkable to see the positive results in my pets. The entire staff there is equally trained in assisting with various treatments, whether it be the treadmill or laser or shockwave, etc. Each of my dogs has different 'special needs' and I feel 100% confident they are being handled with that in mind. It also gives me great peace of mind in knowing my dogs are getting the best care possible with Dr. Smallwood and the staff at IVW.

I have been taking my Italian greyhound here for therapy on his back. The doctor is very involved in every step of his care and has been so responsive to my questions. She has gone above and beyond to call after hours to check on him after I sent lab reports from his vet when he wasn’t feeling well to make sure we could address his additional needs (if any) with a holistic approach. She is very professional, caring, attentive and knowledgeable. The staff is also 5 star worthy, very friendly and have made us feel so welcome abs cared for! I highly recommend this place.

We brought in our senior for corporeal shockwave and acupuncture therapy for her arthritis. She was a lot more comfortable and got around better after treatment. Would 100% recommend bringing your pet for a better quality of life.

My baby will be 13 yrs. old on Christmas Eve and we are truly fortunate to have found Dr. Shannon Leska, a BIG thanks to her. My baby is a cancer survivor (3 yrs. free of cancer) but unfortunately her otherwise perfect health condition was almost immediately deteriorated during Chemotherapy (our big mistake). During Chemotherapy, she developed kidney issues with protein loss in urine and the western medicine treatment continued forever and so were her health issues one after the other. She is dealing with acid reflux/aspiration pneumonia issue, respiratory issues, loss of muscle mass due to low-protein diet, hind leg weakness, gallbladder sludge, diarrhea and regurgitation etc. We were devastated and I made a decision to go Holistic one fine day after researching a lot. Dr. Leska has been a blessing in short and her holistic experience and the immediate plan of action to resolve my baby's health issues one by one is highly commendable to say the least. It was right in the middle of COVID (mid-year) when I first talked to her and the way she took time to understand what exactly is going on with my baby as a whole was an immediate relief to me. She cared about her overall health and laid out a plan that is easily understood and every appointment thereafter, her patience in assessment, explanation, honesty, feedback on my big and small concerns, email communication, professionalism, tips/guidance and care for my baby is unparalleled. My baby had challenges along the way and Dr. Leska offered variation in treatments and figuring out what worked best for her. We are so grateful to Dr. Leska, my baby is finally doing better now than ever after close to 3 years of health struggles. I got her entire health checkup just a month ago to re-assess how the results look after IVW treatments and everything came back normal – X-Rays, Ultrasound, Complete Blood work, Blood pressure, Kidney health (BUN Creatinine values are back to normal range), no arthritis, all organs are normal, gall bladder sludge reduced. We have seen significant improvement in reflux/regurgitation (almost gone, very well controlled), no more aspiration pneumonia, lung congestion has totally cleared up after 6 months, improvement in her climbing the stairs on her own (she couldn’t before) and improved muscle mass. We also were able to take her to a cabin country living vacation for her to enjoy and it has all been possible because of Dr. Leska. She runs around and plays like she was when she was 2. We are so very grateful, hopeful and ready to celebrate her 13th birthday on Dec. 24 and a Santa pic. I know she is in good hands at Integrative Veterinary Wellness with TCM herbal medicine, acupuncture, aqua-puncture, laser therapy and Dr. Smallwood performs Chiropractic adjustments as well that is helping her have better quality of life. The entire staff there, be it a visit or a phone call are extremely helpful/friendly and always walk the extra mile to make our dogs and us feel most comfortable even during COVID. After our holistic vet of 7 years retired, we were panicked! Our IM vet recommended Dr Smallwood and I am so grateful Dr Smallwood and her support team are amazing! Incredible place to take your pet, truly caring, Dr Smallwood was recommended to me by another vet and I'm very grateful for it... My English bulldog has a couple of disk herniations and their holistic approach to treatment with cold laser, chiropractor, Chinese medicine, and acupuncture is like no one else. Super friendly, I would take my dog anywhere else.

Seriously these guys don't update their clients at all. I had a chat with a couple of other customers there and they both agreeded of the slow service and no updates. I had to call them 4 times to get an answer and they acted like a was a bother to them .

If you're looking for preventative/complimentary treatment for your furbabies, definitely check this place out. Our little one went for therapy for her torn ligament and we're VERY happy with the care she's received. I didn't even know a place like this existed so I would consider keeping them in your contacts for alternative /complimentary medicine. Stay safe everyone!

Integrative Veterinary Wellness, Dr. Smallwood and her staff, are AMAZING! We brought Nash and Stryker here and in both cases the expert care from Dr. Smallwood allowed for our family to spend additional quality time with our beloved dogs. Nash, with advanced Cushing's Disease and Kidney issues, and Stryker, with severe arthritis and neurological disorders. My advice, get Dr. Smallwood and her staff involved earlier in your pet's life. They work great with your primary care and specialty veterinarians to achieve optimal quality of life and wellness.
