Windmill Veterinary Center Prosper, Texas

Took my dog in because we believed he had a broken toe or a broke. Nail below the skin. Vet assured me that it was just a scratch on the outside of the toe and that no xray was needed. My dog never seemed to fully heal, took him in 5 weeks later and they took and xray. Found out the toe has been broken the whole time. This second visit cost $340 for an xray, pain reliever, and anti anxiety. They then wanted to charge me $1800 to remove the non weight bearing toe. I asked for a second opinion from my vet in Tyler. They responded to let me know they have great success in healing these type of fractures with a splint you can buy in Amazon. She also let me know that if we wanted to proceed with amputation, rather than try the longer route, it would cost $340 dollars for the whole procedure and medications. Windmill Veterinary has show negligence and delay of care, I will never return. Not only to mention they charge an arm and a leg.

Our dog was very sick with a terrible cough. We were told they couldn’t see him for a week. Called a different vet and got him in the next day, which you don’t put off seeing a sick dog who might have kennel cough. Windmill had been our vet for 16 years but evidently they book so heavily that they have no room to see sick patients. When our little one is sick you don’t put off seeing him for a week. We moved him to a new vet.

The loving caring staff are so awesome, amazing and very friendly. I thoroughly trust them all with my special babies. Thank you all for being so special. Renda Long

They provide amazing care for our dogs and at very reasonable prices. It's nice to have a vet that will actually take appointments within short reasonable time frames..

We have been to several veterinarians, but Dr. Robinson is by far the best! He definitely knows his stuff and takes the time to patiently and thoroughly explain it all to us. Thank you for taking care of our fur baby!

Extremely thorough and very kind to pets. I appreciate a vet staff that interacts with my fur babies instead of brushing aside. Although somewhat pricey the care you receive is worth every penny!

I absolutely love Christina. She is the best groomer we have had for our babies. She does an amazing job and is so nice and patient with both of our dogs, especially Max who has a lot of anxiety. The whole staff is friendly and always happy to see Max and Spike. I highly recommend them.

Dr Robinson was amazing, getting my cat in very quickly when I needed to get her spayed. Everyone took great care of her and she came home in great spirits and her incision looks perfect. Very happy with the care me and my little one received. Would definitely recommend this practice and Dr Robinson for all your pets needs!

They squeezed my puppy in the schedule last minute, which is awesome. They were all super nice and the Vet was great at explaining what he though and what we should do. Puppy is doing great now! Definitely our vet to recommend to others.

I've had nothing but caring and professional service since we began bringing our dog here about 3 years ago. The staff are always excited to see our dog when we drop him off for boarding, and he seems just as excited to see them! No complaints here!

My dog and I were treated very well! I was given 3 year vaccination for my dog which I didn’t even realize were available, very helpful and will cut back on yearly expense! Great to have a veterinarian close to home again and I am hopeful that it will be the same vet each time! I left you all several years ago do to the fact that I never knew the vet I was seeing!

Best vet I've ever been to. I've spent so much over the past few months at other offices and still couldn't get to the bottom of my dog's issue. Not only was the staff polite and friendly, the vet was thorough with his exam and was able to get us to a solution quickly and affordably. We are very pleased with this office and will definitely be back when we need further care!

Windmill was the best and most patient team I could have ever asked for. My lab was a VERY VERY happy lab and had issues with "happy tail", he took over a week to get over some issues but Windmill was over the top on being patient and understanding and went above and beyond on his care. I can't thank them enough.

I think they’re making a comeback. it’s been a long time coming. we’ve gone there for 4 years. luckily we haven’t needed to go very much. but at least once a year. every time we went ,it was a revolving door of people that always change nobody was ever the same we never saw the same nurse or doctor twice. But Dr. Wilcox lives there and I think moving forward it’s going to be a great place. they’ve never done us wrong.

We just moved here and had to take our Devin Rex’s in for updated vaccinations. What a great place! Very nice people, great service, fair prices :)

I was greeted at my car within minutes of pulling in. They took Charlie inside and within three minutes had him back to my car with his glands all clean. Then I received a phone call a couple minutes later so they could collect My fee. It was so quick and easy.

Dr. Robinson and Windmill Veterinary Hospital were recommended to me by my son and after taking my dog there I understood why. The staff was courteous and understanding and although I could not be in the office with my dog due to the pandemic, I never felt that I was not in the loop. The attendant came to my car and listened attentively to my concerns before taking the dog. After the exam the doctor came to the car and explained his finding in great detail and asked if I had questions or concerns. He addressed them to my satisfaction and told me how to administer the meds and about follow up. I left feeling that my pet had gotten the best care possible.

Was my first time going here. Was also curb side. Talked to the Vet on the phone and it was amazing! Even though I want able to be inside I felt fully comfortable that he was doing everything he could to see what was doing on with my pup. Felt that he was in good hands!

Excellent customer service . Veterinarian talked me to for a long time explaining my cat’s illness and was responsive to questions and polite.

I’ve only had “covid” experience, but they’ve been super kind on the phone and the visit for my new pup was quick. The vet called me to go over it before I even left the parking lot. They’ve been helpful and answered a few questions I had over the phone too! Update: I’ve since taken my pup to another vet because their prices were more than quadruple his. Family Pet Center in Frisco is where I’ll be moving forward. I don’t have a problem with Windmill, but I have a budget to think about- even for the family pup!
