Receny my dog Roman had a reaction to a heartworm prevention injection. He was wired and nervous all night. I called the VCA to get him checked out, Kim Handled a tough situation very calmly and promptly. Roman and myself both needed a nap. Roman began the new treatment and is back to himself hours later. Roman and myself both needed a nap. Thank you Kim.

I took my cat here && they gave him medicine that was at too high a dose & he had a toxic reaction, which is normal & NORMALLY vets would care & fix the issue. I called about the problem, got brushed off. Not to mention anytime i had questions , i always got brushed off or blatantly interuppted. I took my cat to an emergency vet. The medicine doage was killing him & he would have died if i waited a few more days to get him help. & When i called VCA beforehand to tell them the problem? Completely didnt care and never followed up to ask how my cat was doing and also never even attempted to schedule an appointment the time i called & they were “just so busy”. Good riddance. Our new vet saved my cats life and follows up regurarly and actually cares. Glad I didn’t attempt to trust this place much further.

We have happily taken our pets here for 25 years and counting. I love the way both Dr Spillers and Dr Rodegheir take time to listen to me, answer my questions, and, more importantly, care so thoroughly for my dogs…and I’ve taken a LOT of dogs to them! The entire staff knows my family and remember my pets, which is above and beyond. Vet care is expensive everywhere and is not out of line here. There is a monthly membership option that helps with the costs. You can get pricing info BEFORE you make an appointment or book a stay for your pets.

While I can't go, my cat Ambrosia was calm when she returned from her visit. I liked the a the staff I interacted with over the phone and in person. It was our first visit and we will continue to return in for future visits.

Been going here for 7 years for my cat, Sterling. I love the vet but the most recent nurse, Kim, seems to not like animals very much. I'm sad to say we'll be looking into closer locations for our next vet trip...

We love VCA Animal Care in Plano. We have taken our fur babies there for the past three and half years. The staff is amazing and treats our girls like they are special. The Front Desk Staff is super sweet and always willing to help. We see both Veterinarians and think they give great care to our babies. The Vet Techs are always kind to our babies and try to make them feel at ease. One of our girls loves to see them because they make such a fuss over her. Our other baby is very shy around anyone... they make a fuss over her too, she just doesn't eat it up like the other one. We also love their Groomer! We used a chain store groomer for the first two years of our oldest baby's life and they would always cut her too short. VCA's Groomer always does her best to comb out minor mats and save as much fur as possible. One of my babies acts like she feels ugly if she is cut too short. We haven't seen her act this way any time after going to the groomer at VCA. If your looking for a great Vet and Groomer, look no further you have found it!

I recently adopted a dog from Dallas Animal Services who unfortunately is high heartworm positive. I brought him to this clinic for his initial examination and had such a positive experience (and I am admittedly picky about vet clinics). The entire staff has been so kind and professional, and Dr. Rodeghier has taken fantastic care of my dog! I can't say enough about how happy I am with the entire team!

Came here for a check-up for my recently adopted dog. Everything went smoothly and the doctor was nice and helpful! Because of COVID I stayed in the car and they took my dog inside and he was in and out in less than 30 minutes with some medication and a goodie bag delivered back to my car. Good experience overall!

First of all, this place is way overpriced. At least the vet worked with me when I asked her for a less expensive version of an antibiotic, one that was $35 compared to the $50 originally quoted. But I just got the feeling they were trying to upsell me on some things. Also, the vet couldn't give me a good answer for some discoloration on my dog. Maybe there was miscommunication because it was an appointment via phone but I had a question and called back today and asked if I was speaking to the vet. The tech responded "yes" only for me to find out later that she was a tech. The only pleasant person I've interacted with there is Holly. Even the other front desk receptionist was rude and said "I don't see why we would need to call you back if the pharmacy fills the prescription." Overall, I'm sorry to say rude staff and bad communication all around.

It was easy in and out, still waiting for the results of the treatment of my pup's skin infection.

We have been taking our dogs to VCA since the early 1990s. They have always provided excellent care. In early December 2020, my 15-year-old dog Sheba had a seizure. We worked with VCA staff on a number of treatment options to see if we could reduce or eliminate the seizures and maintain her quality of life. Alas, her condition deteriorated, and we made the difficult decision to put her to sleep. The VCA vets and staff were so kind, considerate, and professional. It is never easy to let a beloved pet go, but their support provided me and my wife with a great deal of comfort at a difficult time.

after 20+ years a customer, to be treated this poorly by a staff member was disappointing. If she treats the human customer this bad , there is no way she’s touching my animals. Too bad, but good riddance.

What a great vet! I got a free visit because I adopted a dog from the SPCA. I only wish they were closer to where I live not convenient for me to make it a regular place.

This clinic was able to get my cat an appointment on a few hours notice. They took lots of precautions to keep myself and their staff safe during COVID 19. Dr. Spillers was able to give me the information upfront about the different costs for my cats medication. I really appreciate that they helped me keep my cat's treatment cost low and affordable while providing great care

Was able to get an appointment on short notice for a sick kitten. Due to covid, they came out and got him and assessed him inside. Once the doctor assessed him she called and relayed what she found and what plan of care was. After obtaining approval from me, they medicated him and brought him out. Payment was made over the phone. Whole visit was maybe 15-20 min. I appreciate doctors, human and animal, who are available on short notice.

HOLY HELL THEY ARE EXPENSIVE!! 2 Bichons, same kennel, $70.00 per night. No special add ons. They had their own food. Won’t do that again.

Very frustrating experience here: called ahead and said we're stuck in traffic and going to be 20 minutes late, and they said that's fine just get there as soon as possible. Got there 10 minutes before 6 and the receptionist said that it might be too late, but went back to see if the doctor would stay, talked with the doctor, and then came back and lied and said the doctor had already left. We waisted a full hour getting there and 40 minutes getting home. Would have been nice to know that we'd be met with lies and disrespect, would have just turned around.

Vets are typically caring and patient doctors, but the entire staff at VCA is amazing. They work with you if treatments are too expensive and even have their own comprehensive pet wellness plan. There are multiple locations nationwide, but the one I take my pets too is on Coit and Park in Plano!

Nothing bad to say, this just wasn't the Vet in which I chose for my furbabies.

I used VCA for their cat grooming service and had a wonderful experience! The groomer took the time to listen to me and explain all the options as it was my first time getting my elderly cat professionally groomed. The front desk staff were very pleasant and check in was quick and easy. They work on a first come first serve drop off system which I really like. I dropped off around 8:30am and my cat was done around noon. She even came home with a cute little bandana! Highly recommend VCA for grooming and plan on going back.
