Had to have surgery on my six months old kitten. She was there for five days and I was allowed to see her and comfort her. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Waited an hour in my room with no update. Finally 20 minutes before closing i had to walk out because i got tired of waiting. ANNOYING!!!!

My Boston Terrier had patellar luxation in her back leg. It got bad pretty fast! I checked with other places and their wait time was quite long. I was told that this isn’t a emergency surgery so they would set it out for 1+ months, and that would be after the initial visit which was booked out 3 to 4 weeks. I researched other options and found Humane Animal Medical & Surgical Hospital. I called and was able to get an appointment in 2 weeks on a Saturday, which was big for me as my job has been quite busy! After visiting with Dr. V and getting a tour of all the medical equipment they have invested in I was very comfortable with setting an appointment for the surgery. They were also very knowledgeable about Boston Terriers, which made me quite more comfortable. I was scheduled 2 weeks out. I dropped off Nova on Thursday morning and picked her up on Saturday morning. They surgical site looked pretty bad, but this is the first time one of my dogs needed surgery, so I didn’t know what to expect. I gave her the medicine I was provided per the directions given when picking her up. By Tuesday she was using her leg a little, but by Saturday she was looking great! The following Saturday when getting her staples out she was doing absolutely amazing! The scar is there but it isn’t bad at all! I would highly recommended these guys for any pet needs! The staff is very nice and professional. I will say you may need to be patient, they were quite busy, so my appointments did take a little longer than expected, but hey it seems like all my appointments are taking longer than expected now days! I hope I don’t have any other big medical issues, but if so, there is no other place I’d rather go!

I love Dr.V he is straight up-front with you and takes his time with my fur babies. He also keeps me updated with his findings. The rest of the staff here are super nice and attentive as well. I have referred the Hospital to everybody I know and they all feel the same way!

Staff and doctors are so sweet and caring. Be sure to get an appointment, they fill up and cannot always accommodate walk ins.

Dr. Carver went above and beyond in caring for my french bulldog. I felt confident in the surgery because of his thorough explanation. He checked on my dog after hours and provided excellent care. I would recommend him to any dog owner.

Dr Carver has been great to us for many many years now. Always honest and fair. We have a 6 year old dog (Zega) who's life was 100% saved from Parvo when he was just a little over a year old all thanks to his practice. Very happy to be taking our 2 week kitten (Fuku) in for his shots and so on. Totally recommend.

Humane Animal Medical is by far the best veterinarian office and staff I have ever been to. I have had trust issues with pretty much every vet I've dealt with in my life. Never felt like they knew what was going on and always priced extremely high. NOT this vet!! Dr. Voloson and Dr Carver are amazing! Dr. Voloson did ACL surgery on my 200lb mastiff and honestly saved his life. Most vets turned him away and wouldn't work on him because of his size or just don't do the surgery at all. He and his staff are incredible and worked with us to save his life. He was honest with me from the get go, and for the first time in my life I felt like I was speaking to a veterinarian who not only knew what he was doing, but was on my side. After the surgery was a success on the mastiff, we took our English bulldog to see Dr. Voloson so he could fix a "botched" eye lift surgery he had the previous year from another vet. Needless to say he's completely fixed and healed. From the bottom of my heart, thank you Dr. Voloson and staff!! You are the man!!

I was worried about taking my kitty. But they made me feel very comfortable. They kept her there for Monday through Friday right after surgery. As much as I missed her I felt they gave her a great chance to recover. The doctor didn't perform one of the surgeries on her because of her age. I know most doctors don't give a damn. They have my business. My kitty will have the best doctor.

Had to bring a family pet here to put them to sleep. Staff was very kind and humane and even helped comfort me as I was upset at the time. Great people.

Dr. Carver is amazing and the personal is outstanding

Spay cost was quoted $250 as of 3/11/21. Their website provides not quotes for this but another review called them cheapest in town. I called to spay an outdoor cat that showed up and had kittens. After I explained they still quoted as if this were MY inside cat with vaccinations and such. You decide - but I promptly thanked them and hung up.

Dr. Carver and Dr. Volosen are very professional and sweet. They always go above and beyond. They are very attentive and friendly. They make sure that I understand what is going on with my babies. The staff are also very delightful. Definitely coming back and recommending friends and family to this practice. Two thumbs up! ????????

We called on and made an appointment with Josephe the girl up front answering the phone. I showed up today, the place was open, door locked. I called and Josephe couldn’t find our appointment. I went in and I was told the appointment was for next Wednesday and I was wrong, she was right. I looked around the place and honestly after seeing this dump I declined to have my pup treated at this location. It does not appear safe at all. I question their credentials, although I didn’t see them; just a vibe I get in there

Dr. Carver is an amazing surgeon. Twice now, I've been told by other vets that my dog's surgery was impossible that his leg needed to amputated, both times Dr. Carver successfully operated and my dog still has his leg. He truly loves animals and has your fur babies best interest at heart. I cannot recommend him enough!!! He's amazing!!!!

My experience is about 1 year ago, now I just realized I should share it with everyone who wants to go there. I called them to schedule an appointment for my cat. When I arrived there, the receptionist helped us to checked in, but after that they just let me wait in a small room for almost 2 hours, during that time no one provided an update or let any of the people waiting what was taking so long. We just wasted 2 hours for nothing.

Mauweh was very sick from a bite on his leg. He started chewing at it. Then he had a fever. They got us in the next morning. They gave him the medicine he needed to get well. I have never had a dog this small before .... I feel so grateful to this place.

I visited Humane Animal Medical & Surgical Hospital a week ago. My dog has been shaking his head for over 6 mos. non stop. I visited my personal vet and they kept saying it was allergies and gave him a shot and some drops for his ears for ear mites. He was still scratching and shaking his head, so I decided to take him to my old vet that I had when I lived in Plano. i.e. Dr. Carver. He diagnosed him correctly (ear infection) and gave him 2 shots and pills for the next 2 weeks. Within a few days he has stopped shaking his head and is more relaxed. This center really cares about the animals that they treat. I have had nothing but positive results whenever I go. My daughter drives from Frisco to Plano(over 45 mins) and this is the only vet she will go to and her son. We are believers! They truly care!! Great care is worth the drive. Thanks, Lynell Bland

I have a French Bulldog. He’s Very special breed that requires special attention. When Valentino had an allergy he was tearing his skin off.... so I looked for the best vet that specializes in this breed. The results are incredibly amazing!!! Victoria at the front desk was so gentle and friendly, helped me with any additional questions I had. If I could I’d give this place 10 STARS!!!!

I took my dogs twice for surgery to this veterinary hospital and I cannot thank enough the doctors and assistants there. Especially to dr. Volosen who performed both surgeries. Both dogs recovered very fast. I have been well advised how to continue the therapy at home for the knee surgery and in the second week, my dog started to step on the leg with operated knee. During therapee, she didn't feel hurt so it was a sign that the surgery was very well performed. Thank you very much for a job well done!!

Went there today to have my blue tongue skink, Mushu, examined for issues with one of his legs. They followed COVID protocols and took him in for his examination while we waited in the car, and they called us in to talk about what they discovered. We were informed that it’s likely that his back leg has a fracture of some sort, and they offered X Rays and paths of treatment as well as resources to turn to for help. The building does not look well kept, and I can’t deny that it brought suspicions, but the service quality was just fine. Friendly people who seemed to have a lot of medical experience, even if they didn’t have much specific information about my lizard species- they still provided us with what we needed to know to take care of him. Very happy with this visit.

Was not impressed with this place at all. The vet and his assistant were very unprofessional. Went in to get undescended testes check and prices. Vet barely touched my dog. Him and his assistant leave room and come back then basically start making fun of my dog and say he may as well be a girl. Then tell me the outrageous price of 622.00 for his surgery. For a 20 pound mini schnauzer. Then charged me an 85.00 office visit! Will not go back and will not refer anyone!

Dr. Carver and the staff at Humane Animal Hospital are amazing! They are responsive, informative and very caring. My first experience with Dr. Carver was an emergency on a Saturday morning that required immediate surgery. He took great care of my Gatsby, and was very supportive through the recovery. The clinic's special ozygen chambers were blessing and contributed to a fantastic recovery. My second fur baby recently had surgery for a torn ACL and again Dr. Carver and his staff did an amazing job. We are about 8 weeks out and you would never know she had torn the ACL. In addition to being a great team, they work really hard to make caring for your babies affordable...that doesn't mean cheap, but affordable for the services and care they provide! They always go above and beyond.
