After years of looking for the perfect pet sitter for our furr babies, we found Dana! Thank you Grand Paws Pet Sitters!

Getting right to the point: Grand Paws is a great business and Dana is amazing. They go above and beyond expectations to provide care for our pets that gives us complete confidence that they are really well cared for, happy and even having fun. Most importantly, our cats loved Dana. One, who hides from just about everyone so well that most believe she doesn't exist, was out and playing with her on day one- unprecedented! The other, who is normally very social, was having more of a blast perhaps than when we are home (evidenced by video shorts dana captured). Secondly, Dana's communication was excellent. She regularly stayed connected and shared updates, took photos and videos of the cats in action. Dana took great care in getting to know us and our cats, as well as the particulars of what we felt was important to be taken care of when we were away. This included things like how we liked our home treated (e.g. shoes off, lights to keep on vs not, where to put trash, and the like) as well as caring for plants and other things within reason to take care of. This all really gave us peace of mind. There is a lot more I can say about Dana and Grand Paws, and we will likely update this review over time. Just know that we will definitely be going to Grand Paws for all of our pet sitting needs. and recommend them in the highest possible way!

Grand Paws Pet Sitters has been taking care of our dogs for 10 years and we would never use anyone else. The team doesn’t just take care of our dogs, they love our dogs and our dogs love them ! At age 15, our dogs need a little special care! They need medicine for their heart disease Twice each day and I know that I can rely on the team for that.! They send me pictures each visit so that I can see my precious babies Prior to COVID we traveled frequently both for work and pleasure. Happily we have been able to resume our travel over the past few months. I always hate leaving our babies but know they get tons of love and great care from GrandPaws!

We are truly blessed to have found Dana to take care of our dog Bonnie who is now her biggest fan! She goes crazy happy to see Dana, and I know with Dana she's in excellent hands. Best experience we've ever had with a pet sitter!!! Grand Paws took care of our energetic 70-lb lap dog during an extended road trip this summer, and I can't say enough positive things about their pet sitting services. Dana and April were super responsive, reliable and 100% trustworthy. They provided excellent communication while we were away and treated our fur-baby like he was a member of their own family. Anyone can feed your dog and take them out for a walk, but it takes someone truly special to give your pet the attention and love they deserve when mama is away.

Grandpaws has been taking care of our pets for the last 15 years. In the past, we have had elderly or sick dogs and Grandpaws goes the extra mile to provide quality, dependable service and will go the extra mile based on the pets individual needs. Presently, we have a diabetic dog. We have no worries when we leave town. Grandpaws’ employees are trained to handle diabetic shots, administer medication for any diabetic or sickly pet. Again, when we leave town, we know they are dependable, responsible, trained for giving shots/medication and lastly trustworthy. You can not go wrong with using Grandpaws to take of your pet at home and allowing your pet to stay home in the convenient and their stress free surroundings.

Dana and her team at Grand Paws did an amazing job for me. The previous firm I had used for years decided to downsize after the "event" of 2020, and would no longer service my area. Based on the reviews of Grand Paws, I gave Dana a call. And I am glad I did. Dana made this transition stress free. It was obvious she and her team really care about ensuring your pets are well taken care of. Best dog walking service I’ve ever had. Dana and her team are amazing. They were able to accommodate me as a new customer at the last minute. She showered our 2 year old Golden doodle with love while we’d were out of town.

If you are wondering who the owner of Grand Paws Pet Sitter is, and whether they would be right person to entrust with your pets…well, let me put your mind to rest: Dana IS that person! My first experience with Grand Paws was unique. We were planning a week’s vacation with my family, to include my parents. My mother (who was just recently diagnosed with Alzheimer’s) has a very sweet Bengal cat named Stella. As my mother’s illness has progressed, Stella has become more of a therapy cat. Stella means the world to my mother. So much so, she will rarely go out of town for even one night because she is worried about leaving her. It was important to us that my mother have a wonderful time on our family vacation, and to not be in a constant state of worry about her Stella. Enter Dana! My very first conversation with Dana immediately put my mind at ease. First of all, Dana understood what we were going through on a very personal level…her mother had also had Alzheimer’s. I felt heard, and understood. On top of that, my parent’s house was well outside of Grand Paws coverage area, but Dana made an exception for us, and took care of Stella. Before our trip, Dana came over and met with me, my parents and Stella. She bonded with my mom right away, earning her trust (Stella, too)! While we were on vacation, Dana sent us daily updates about Stella, including photos and videos. My mom looked forward to the daily updates, and was able to pick up her phone anytime and be reminded that Stella was in good hands. We owe our vacation, full of happy memories, to Dana…she was truly a Godsend!

I would like to share what a wonderful experience we just had with Grand Paws Pet Sitter over the 4th. We have a lab who is very timid and afraid. Dana was very patient with her, and quickly won over her heart! It is great knowing that your animals are well-cared for while you are gone, but it is another level of care when you know your pets are thriving and very happy! Dana has a new fan at our house, and we are looking forward to the next vacation with Grand Paws Pet Sitter helping us again. We highly recommend their services!

We have been using Grand Paws for several years. During the snow storm in February, Claire was here everyday!! We were in constant contact with not only Claire, but with the owner, Dana McKool. We were in another state and Claire helped tremendously putting our minds at ease with everything that was happening. Not only with the cats, but with the house. They are top notch! We would not trust our fur babies with anyone else.

My partner and I had recently adopted a Ragdoll Siamese. About four months after, we had to travel. Met the owner, she interviewed us as we did the same. Met our beautiful little girl Tillie. And we agreed that this was the best thing we could do for our little girl. While we were in New Jersey we got calls and pictures of how our little girl was. Happy and healthy. And beautiful. When you meet Dana it is evident that loving your pets like her own is her passion and she is spectacular at it! Dana squeezed us in to her busy schedule when we needed her last minute, and was super accommodating to our needs. I am incredibly grateful that she was able to watch our kitties, and that she rearranged her schedule to fit us in and ensure our kitties were loved and cared for. Throughout our trip she kept us updated with pictures of our cats as well as letting us know if it was getting too hot in the house which I really appreciated! I’m new to the area so searched for services and found GrandPaws had great reviews. Well, let me add another one. Recently I had to return to the east coast to attend my father’s funeral. Normally I’m highly organized but I guess the emotion of this event impacted my preparation. I’m short-I locked not only my doors but also my storm doors and I didn’t leave a key. The folks at GP’s sound several 24 hour locksmiths and met up with them at my house to get in and take care of my kitty!! Fast forward a month-another family emergency and I had to fly across the country with four hours notice. Grand Paws did not disappoint and were able to accommodate my last minute plans. Besides having outstanding customer service- they are truly animal lovers and spend the time with “Snickers,” playing and giving her the love she requires. Two thumbs up. I highly recommend GrandPaws!

I can’t recommend Dana and Grand Paws enough!!! Dana saved my getaway by squeezing me in last minute, and on a holiday weekend. She sent videos and pictures of my pups, which made being away from them easier. Knowing Dana was around to watch them, and care for them put me at ease. You can see and feel her love for animals. I enjoy traveling from time to time but finding a trustworthy & reliable sitter seemed impossible, but now that I found Dana and Grand Paws I won’t have to worry about that.

Grand Paws has been my go-to for trusted dog walking when I am away, especially important with on of my "special needs" senior rescues. Always on time, flexible, trustworty and my pups love Haven, who takes such good care of them. Highly recommend!

Dana has a terrific business. All of her employees are thoughtful, reliable and trustworthy. We currently work with Grand Paws Pet Sitter for daily dog-walking, pet taxi and dog sitting, and couldn’t be happier. They even helped us stave off an attempted break-in to our home while we were out of town! After the attempted break-in they continued coming back to the house to ensure our dog was well taken care of and made it look like someone was living in the house at all times until we got home. I highly recommend them!!

Dana took care of my two teenage kittens while I was out of town for a long weekend. She went above and beyond all expectations, not only feeding them and cleaning their litter box but also playing with them and keeping them company. She kept in touch regularly and sent photos and videos of my boys. They have a new auntie now! These people truly have passion for the animals and I couldn't recommend a better service. 11/10

This was our first time using any type of pet sitting services and we were so happy with our choice! April and Dana not only took amazing care of our pets, they sent updates multiple times a day, and spent a lot of time discussing procedures with us beforehand so we would feel completely comfortable. Dana has provided my two geriatric kitties a service that has improved their lives (and my own stress level!) exponentially - weekly sub q fluids. The fluids are great, but Dana is the change bringer. She has a way of calming the atmosphere before/during/after their treatment. She knows exactly where my kitties will be in the home, warms them up with cuddles and sweet talk, dispenses their fluids, then leaves them feeling safe, comfy, and stress free... and I don’t have to help at all. She really knows what she is doing, and I wholeheartedly trust her with my kitties.

Grand Paw Pet Sitter is GRAND INDEED! Our family had an out of town emergency. We could not take my precious dog with us. She is twelve years old and rarely left alone since Covid. I didn’t feel comfortable leaving her in a kennel overnight as her age leaves her more sensitive. I called my vet looking for help. I was referred to Grand Paws and called right away, pretty early in the morning. I got a call back in less than thirty minutes. As a new client to Grand Paws, Dana (the owner), handled all the paperwork and everything very quickly and easily. She was at my house in the hour and had everything squared away so we could leave town feeling confident that my girl would be cared for well while we were away. I went from terribly stressed to peaceful about leaving her behind. During the day, as we were in a difficult situation, I had the pleasure of receiving texts with pictures of Dana and my sweet girl at each visit. Dana, then, followed up with us, showing care and concern for our situation. Also, her rates were affordable, and as we are all stressed financially due to Covid, her care was not out of my reach. Thank you Dana and Grand Paws Pet Sitter. We are lifetime clients now.

Grand Paws has saved my life and my two sweet babies. I reached out to Dana (the owner of grand paws) in need of last minute help for a vacation with my sweet baby Sophie at the time. She immediately called me and spent about an hour or more on the phone with me, I was amazed. I knew at that moment I trusted her with my babies! Fast forward months and my sweet Sophie was so sick and needed so much help. I’m a nurse so I work extremely long hours. Grand Paws literally took all the stress off my shoulders as they would come and spend at least 45 minutes or more I’m sure and just love on Sophie, hold and rock her sweet soul and treat her like one of their own. I was of course miserable at work having to leave Sophie, but with Grand Paws I knew they knew more than me and how to comfort and nurture a sick dog in her last months. That alone gave me great comfort and relief knowing she was in the best hands while mama was working! Besides, Sophie adored Dana and Haven maybe even more than me haha!! She couldn’t walk and was incontinent so they had to carry her everywhere, you can imagine the amount of work and caring spirit it takes to care for a dog in that shape. She got top notch regal care. Fast forward again couple months and I got a new baby who also has challenges as she was a rescue and is scared of a lot things (at least in the beginning). Maya is terrified of thunderstorms and while I was at work Dana came over to walk Maya, mind you it was pouring and thundering and Maya was panicking and terrified. Dana stayed for over extra to help Maya calm down. I think Maya spent maybe 10 minutes alone during the storm then I was home, thanks to Grand Paws! Maya also loves chasing bunnies and Haven her usual dog walker let’s Maya find bunnies and play with them and chase them and takes her on long adventure walks that’s Mayas favorite thing! So if you need a dog walker or pet setter that will care for your animals like they care for their own and better, Grand Paws is the company to go with, I promise you won’t ever look back! I use them every week and have never been more appreciative of everything to do and help me with, they’re literally life savers!

This pet sitting service is AWESOME! I have a senior dog (13 yo) and a senior cat (19 yo), and I needed to travel out of town to visit elderly parents for a few days. I had always boarded my pets before, but as they are getting up in age, I wanted to keep them in their own surroundings. The new client forms were easy to complete, and a meet-and-greet was arranged with a sitter. The sitter came to my apartment to meet me and my kiddos and I instantly felt comfortable with her. I received text messages and photos of how my kiddos were doing, and always felt they were in good hands. When I finally arrived back home, my dog gave me this look like "you're not ... MOM!!!!" I will definitely arrange any future sitting needs with Grand Paws Pet Sitter!

I cannot express how grateful we are to have found Grand Paws Pet Sitter! I have a both cats and dogs, and a few are now elderly. Dana and Haven were so thoughtful and detailed in their assessment and care that neither my spouse nor myself worried during our time away. We will definitely use their service again in the future.
