Dr. Sanders is the best vet I've ever visited. We've been his patients for years now, and we have recommended nearly every dog owner we know to him. Currently, we have five pets (different families) that go to Dr. Sanders. He's super nice, very detailed and highly knowledgeable. When he isn't familiar with an issue, he consults with others in his network to make sure your pet gets the correct diagnosis and attention they deserve. He referred one of our dogs to a specialist, but he didn't forget about them. He called us a few weeks later to see how the new vet and treatment were progressing. His staff is also friendly! They really take care of everyone. One thing to be wary of - Dr Sanders talks fast! But if you're ever confused, just ask him to clarify and he'll go over it again haha Highly recommended!

This is my place of work. Yes its work, alot of work, and trying to keep everyone happy is the goal. We have one fantastic doctor who has ALOT of clientele that follows him and has since he's started. He knows all of them even the ones he hasn't seen in years, very impressive especially since he's taking on new clients as well. I love working for Dr.Sanders and think he's a wonderful Vet! Come see us soon!

The vets take great detail to the care of the animal. They have easily caught issues that other clinics have looked over, and have always done an excellent job with our animals over the years.

Dr. Douglas Sanders is the best Vet I have been to in Texas. He is state of the art up to date on medications and treatments. He and his staff genuinely love animals and treat them with respect and kindness. Murphy actually enjoys her Vet visits. I totally trust them with the care of my Oampered Puppy Princess, 10 year old Weimaraner.

Have been going here for years and will continue to go here. I have 4 adult dogs and the staff is amazing with them. Dr. Sanders is knowledgeable, professional, and doesn’t push additional procedures just for more money. I highly, highly recommend this clinic and after seeing some negative reviews, I think it’s important to remember any “upset” patient is not the only patient the doctor sees. I think Dr. Sanders works hard to give everyone individualized attention and those that are upset for not getting preferential treatment need to understand you are not the 1 patient for the day. Keep it in perspective. Highly recommend this clinic and will continue bringing my babies here.

Firstly, I want to say that the staff here is extremely kind and approachable. That is the only reason I am giving a two-star review instead of a one-star review. We switched our dog, Edgar, over to Chase Oaks after having a poor experience with the local VCA. We were thrilled about the stellar reviews about Dr. Sanders, and things went well, for a while. Dr. Sanders is friendly and has a pretty good bedside manner and has treated Edgar well. My real problem here is how he's treated our new kitten, Ophelia. When I brought her in for her first checkup, she seemed to have an upper respiratory infection. Dr. Sanders wrote it off as nothing and said something briefly about an antibiotic before rushing off. It was only after I called the following day that I was actually given the antibiotic because Dr. Sanders had been so eager to rush off that it slipped his mind. Additionally, when we saw him for subsequent visits, as Ophelia continued to be sick, he never actually spent much time with her and was similarly in a hurry. I had to ask him question after question as he was literally walking out the door without explaining anything! In fact, when we took her to another vet who had a different diagnosis, he spoke condescendingly about her, asking if she was "young" and saying that "she doesn't know what she's talking about." Granted, that vet was wrong as well, but this sort of language was a huge red flag. When Ophelia kept getting sick, Dr. Sanders basically gave up and told us she'll be sick her whole life and we should deal with it or get another cat! This was unacceptable. Would you tell a parent to get another baby? And again, he ran out in a rush without explaining anything. After this, we switched to HEAL Veterinary in Dallas, a holistic vet, where Dr. Gaines has been excellent with both our babies, explaining everything and walking us through every single option and letting us choose, instead of just writing a quick prescription and running out. Ophelia has finally received the correct diagnosis (severe food allergy and feline calcivirus) and is doing much, much better. In fact, the medications given at Chase Oaks were making her worse! I am happy for the people who have had positive experiences at Chase Oaks with Dr. Sanders, but I thought people should know about my poor experience when they are looking to find a good vet.

Absolutely not! As an established patient, I called to get my dog an appointment because he was limping. I was fine that they did not have an appointment until the next day. That is entirely understandable and reasonable. What was NOT reasonable was the staffs refusal to ask the doctor a very simple question about the medication HE prescribed. We needed to know if Dog could take it with another of his prescribed medications (from prior vet). That's all - he took a prescribed anti-inflammatory last night. Can he also take a trazadone to keep him calm for the day, so he does not further injure his leg (he has a LOT of energy)? We are pretty sure the answer is 'Yes,' but could really use confirmation from the Doctor. Angel told me she could ask Dr. Sanders in a FEW HOURS, at the end of the day. Girl, it's 8:30 AM! You need a few hours to answer a question that takes less than 2 minutes? Why not call me back between patients? She was RUDE about it too. She said to me, "Well he has other patients!" Really? Yeah, I know he has other patients. Just ask the thing between patients, because Dr. Sanders will know the answer off the top of his head. It's a yes or no question! That is poor patient care, and we will not be returning. I called another vet, who we have never given business to, and the tech/receptionist said, "She's with a patient right now. Can I call you back in a few minutes." They knew I was not their patient, and they were kind enough to answer the question anyway. I would have given Chase Oaks two stars were it not for this incident. Not because there's anything horribly wrong about them, but just because there are dozens of better veterinary practices nearby - larger facilities, accreditation's, better educated staff, and a greater ability to treat a wider range of health problems. Doctor Sanders is nice guy and has a good bedside manner with the dogs, which we liked. He really does seem to care about his patients. He also picks and chooses what he considers to be the best in preventative care, rather than keeping with industry standards. His staff advertises that as though it were a good thing. Literally, our first visit, Angel said to us something along the lines of: Other vets do a lot of things that are unnecessary, but not Dr. Sanders. As though not keeping up with the most current best standards of care in veterinary medicine were something to advertise, and somehow made him better than every other veterinarian out there - you know, the ones who are actually keeping up with the science. He does, however, grind the dogs claws for free at each visit, which was my favorite thing about this place. Doug Sanders seems nice enough, but I also need extremely competent, which includes having a good staff. I've been to small town vets in the middle of nowhere with far more impressive practices. It's a tiny operation, with few abilities, and Dr. Sanders is pretty cavalier about things. Clinic is a good descriptor for the place. To be a 3 star vet in this area, Doctor Sanders needs to hire a staff that can make reasonable determinations, is not unduly rude, and he needs to update his standards of preventative care. To be a 4 or 5 star vet, he would need to expand his operation, become a veterinary hospital, and gain AHAA accreditation. We have moved to an AHAA accredited animal hospital and are very happy with our choice so far.

"Doctor Doug" Sanders is absolutely great. He's warm and caring, and puts the animals first. My wife's family has had him for their vet for around 25 years now, and we won't take our pets anywhere else. The staff there is just as dedicated and great as Dr Sanders.

Great vet! "Doctor Doug" Sanders is the best vet I've ever seen. He has decades of experience, and obviously cares about the animals he treats and their owners as well. My wife and her family have been taking their pets here since Doctor Doug started.

This is the best veterinarian clinic in Plano. Dr. Sanders takes great care of the animals but is also very realistic as far as what can be done vs. what it will cost. Always gives you the options available to you and never passes judgement on your decision. I will never go anyplace else in Plano.

This clinic has one of the most caring staffs of any in Plano. My dog is happy, safe, and loved on there. This is where not only staff brings their pets for care and boarding but the veteranian does too for both care and boarding! Great place to take your dog or cat!
