Dr.Hansen is the most amazing person and vet ever. I followed her from Bastrop vet clinic over 16 years ago. She has taken care of many of my fur kids and treated each one like they were own. She helped transition 3 of our dogs over the rainbow and the professional and person bed side manner she represents is like no other. I can say enough about her abilities as a vet and a person. If you want the absolute best care for your fur kids this is 100% your vet/clinic.

Good luck trying to get an appointment if you’re not already a client. I moved to Pflugerville this past year and was trying to get one of my cats seen but could never get a response from this animal hospital. I filled out the Request Appointment form, called and left a voicemail, and emailed them, and I never heard back.

We had to put our dog down and brought her here. They were very empathetic to our situation and did great during the whole process. I am upset because 1) they told me it would take one week to get ashes and paw prints. When in reality it took 9 business days. When I brought it up I was told it usually takes 8 to 10 business days. Ok well tell people that. Don't just say 1 week and then get mad when I call back in 7 days. The woman who got on the phone caught an attitude and said we'll call you when they get here. I never received a call. I called today to check on the ashes and was told "oh sorry they came in this morning and forgot to call." 2) I ordered two paw prints and only received one. Was told I have to wait 5 more business days for the other paw print. Hopefully they don't try to pawn off some other dogs paw prints on me. We had a funeral planned and this just set us back. Do better! Update: Just received a call that the paw prints are ready. It took 10 business days to get the other paw print. So in total it took 19 business days to get my dogs paw prints. Just picked up the paw prints and the one they forgot looks nothing like the original. The clay is still wet

They have been wonderful. They inherited old kitties so they did everything they could to help them in their later years. Wonderful with our new puppy and new kitties.

I have four large dogs, three of which are rescues, which means I am in PfLAH multiple times a year for check-ups, vaccinations as well as non-routine visits. I have never had an issue getting my dogs in when I needed to, and the staff are all so caring and wonderful! Dr. Hansen and Dr. Maynard are excellent at working with me on my vet protocol training for my dogs, which makes it easier for them and the dogs! Having cues that my dogs are famliar with allows a relaxed, familiar atmosphere in what could be a stressful situation. My large male pup just had his neuter surgery, and I have never seen such a beautiful incision and suture job as was done on him by Dr. Maynard. The man is an artist! I am thankful he went into Veterinary medicine rather than plastic surgery, as he has a true gift!

I can't say enough about this vet. My 8 mo old puppy ate three boxes of chocolate covered raisins. I googled "Raisins" and there were HORROR stories about dogs DYING of kidney failure from eating even the smallest amount of grapes, (not to mention the cocoa in the cocoa covered product). I had taken this pup to emergency vet's before and they charge 130.00 just to be seen, without the diagnosis or treatment. I drove up frantically with my empty boxes and plead I had to be seen... The lady that answered the phone was calming and took Rosie in immediately. Later I receive not 1 BUT 2 phone calls from the office and the Vet telling me my baby's status, what they were doing and what they had to give her to make her vomit, and pass the raisins and chocolate without impact on her system. He VET CALLED ME AND told me he counted the number of raisins she threw up and calculated she only digested 10% or something ( as well as al the other random content in her gut!! LOL) Plus then he CALLED NABISCO to find out the cocoa content in each box!! who the hell does that? I am really amazed and thoroughly impressed by the kindness, compassion and level of service I received. I arrived and was greeted IN OFFICE (were still in COVID) by the most awesome receptionist I have ever met. She told me that they were so pleased to meet Rosie and that they enjoyed spending the day with her. The ACTUAL Vet greeted me and spoke to me in person. Now with all the "drop off" and "short cut" ways vets are exploiting people it was very refreshing. In total, I left this office spending 120.00. They saw my ailing pup, induced vomiting, counted stomach specimen and then gave her activated charcoal to ensure to further damage to her organs. WHOA. Seriously. Where did theses people come from??? Then they advised a way to treat her if she ingests something in the future so I DONT HAVE TO SPEND THE MONEY!!! For them its NOT about the money. It is really about the wellbeing of out loved ones. I adore this vet. Right now I have a Banfield agreement but you better believe once that year is up I wont go anywhere but here. you would be silly not to get this treatment! My old kitty is displaying some symptoms now and the first place I thought of was Pfenning. PLUS they sponsor my son's Soccer (PAYSL). Sorry for the rant and ramble I just want everyone to know that they are the BEST!!!

Dr. Hansen is an amazing vet. All 3 of my labs like her and have their favorite staff members. Cooper loves Autumn and Jax loves Ms. Julia. The prices are affordable, you’re always seen in the same day if possible, and everyone is very knowledgeable and up to date on animal care. We never feel rushed and everything is always explained to us. I always bring my son as well and the whole staff is welcoming to him. Very family oriented and has stayed open during this pandemic to dedicate time to making sure all of our fur family members stay safe and healthy!

Would not take my Duchess anywhere else... Dr. Maynard and staff are kind, knowledgeable, and trustworthy. The office has state-of-the-art equipment and was able to get tests results quickly. I find the prices reasonable for what you get...

I switched to Pfennig Lane Animal Hospital in May 2020 and I liked them. I think the staff is nice and my dogs feel comfortable there. I like that they encourage friendly office visits for dogs who are nervous and fearful. However, there are a few things that I think they need to improve. I think they need to improve on their communication and patient time. Communication- they forget to send reminders and they don’t call back when they say they would. The few times that my dogs have had appointments, 50% of the time, they forgot to remind me— luckily, I had the appointments on my calendar. Next, I called them for a possible emergency— my dog ate some grapes so I called them for advice on what they want me to do. They said they’ll call me back as soon as they talk to the doctors. It’s been 48 hours now since my dog ingested grapes, they still haven’t called me back. Luckily, my dog is somehow “immune” to the grape effects— he’s still alive and nothing I can see is wrong with him. I hope they can find a way to get organized. It’s a good vet, but I don’t think they have a main office manager who can help with the organization. Respect of patient time— I think this is due to not being organized because the times when my dogs had appointments, the doctors have been interrupted because of an emergency. One, I think it’s rude because it’s my dogs time and they charge me for the doctor to talk to us. Second, maybe they should not schedule the doctors to see patients on their surgery days so in case of emergency they don’t get pulled away from the regular patient visit.

Love this place for my doggoes. Dr Hansen and staff are all great! Really takes care of my fur babies and takes the time to explain what's going on, etc.... Front office and vet techs are all so nice too. Thank you for all you do every day!

Dr. Maynard is the most skilled, kind, generous, and thorough vet I have ever had. He is generous with his time and clearly cares about his clients and patients. After taking my cat to other clinics and finding no answers to her symptoms, he was able to diagnose her and come up with an affordable treatment plan. I am so thankful to this clinic for being accommodating during Covid. Their prices are fair, the staff helpful and kind, and Dr. Maynard is the best out there!
