Myself and another family member have used County Line Veterinary for the past year and a half for medical and grooming. We have had two instances, one being a traumatic injury to our dog, where they were too busy to see us for weeks no matter the circumstance. We have sought out a new vet who would be there when we really needed them and not just for their shots. Our new vet called to request records, but was told our dog had not been seen by them and there was no record of him. Mysteriously, when I called they found him in the system immediately. After waiting 4 hours to get these records sent to me to no avail, I called to inquire and waited 15 minutes to speak to someone. I called the 2nd time and was on hold again for nearly 20 minutes, but refused to hang up. I might add that on both calls the phone started ringing several times and someone then put me on hold again. Is this the type of vet you need for your pet?

Took our dog in for his yearly heart worm medication and was asked about additional vaccines. We specifically told them that we did not want it. They took our dog back and gave it to him anyway. Not the least bit apologetic. Will NOT be back.

They charge for every single thing. Where are the good vets that used to just see your animals and we're interested in their health, not just how to make more money.

Just moved to Kyle. Our vet in Orange Grove recommended County Line. Loved the staff and Dr Dorris. They even have a separate entrance for cats!

The staff were really friendly and helpful. They were empathetic and kind. I felt like all of the emergency hospitals weren’t trying to help me with the kitten I found, but they did and they told me expectations in a realistic but gentle way. I appreciate their willing to help and kindness.

I had previously had a bad experience with this office regarding wait time and communication. I should've known better than to use them again but I did out of convenience. Again, the same thing happened. There is zero communication. I dropped one cat off at 730am to be sedated and shaved. The other was there for a quick check up at 8am. I had to go out of my way to finally call the office at 1:30pm to which they responded the cats were still being seen. When I called again at 3:30 to ask when I could pick them up I was told that one was too aggressive to be given his rabies shot. This is the sweetest cat and that should not have happened. My poor cats sat in the back room in a kennel the ENTIRE day when I specifically asked that not be the case for one of them. One had an appointment at 840 and there is no reason that they should've waited until 3:00 when I called to have seen him. When I went to pick up my cats and insisted on speaking to the doctor it just made everything worse. She seemed programmed and just stood there saying, "you're right. I totally understand." Not to mention she blamed the front office staff for not calling because according to her she told them to. How can you run a successful business when the doctor blames the receptionists??!! To top it off the receptionist made sure to walk by me and whisper that she completely understands me being upset and they do this all the time. I was more appreciative of her honesty than anything else. Bottom line they have zero disregard for anyone's animals. This place is all about making money and not about care. If you pet is your child-don't take them here.

We moved to N.B. two years ago from Corpus. Our Vet in Corpus highly recommended County Line to care for our 3 Poodles. From our first visit with Dr. Dorris we were sold. We also use Lisa and Becky for grooming and always excellent results. All the employees are remarkable. You folks deserve 100 stars.

I would give 10 stars if possible. We brought our puppy Bailey in because she became lethargic and had bloody stool. She was not only diagnosed with Parvo virus, but also a serious bacterial infection and hook worms. Things appeared grim. CLVC was so amazing from the get go. Very transparent, very knowledgeable and very affordable. We kept her there for 2 nights and although there was no one there overnight, they made sure to call with updates first thing in the morning. Shelly, Julia and Dr Doris were so awesome. They were calling us multiple times a day with updates. They truly went above and beyond. My wife and I are cheeseballs and wanted to bring Bailey her small bed and her favorite toy when we made the decision to keep her there for the 2nd night. They were very open to it and even sent us a picture message to our phone with her on her bed with her head on her toy with a very sweet, loving message. They also called around to find openings of emergency clinics 2 days prior to the weekend to get ahead of the curve. All around amazing. Our girl is home now trying to be nursed back to health here and was given a ton of info, meds and food for her recovery. We're not in the clear just yet, but so thankful for this place.

I think the Dr's are good. I think they have too much staff and they are new sometimes and they drop the ball pretty regularly. Just be sure to double check everything you're having them do and everything they've done to make sure they did it right and didn't miss anything. Other than that it's ok. Definitely room for improvement in the staff area. Room for improvement on the intake process and phone set up. Normally you have to wait on hold for 10 minutes on average before you can even talk to anyone. I very well may switch in the near future, just trying to find other options I like first.

1st: The covid protocols have to go. No one has the time to wait in the parking lot for 20 minutes before being addressed. 2nd: This vet is not cooperating with Chewy for scripts. This vet charges anywhere from $86/96 for allergy medication. Meanwhile chewy has it for $70. The vet takes about 4 days to fill the script if I call them, overpay, and wait 20 minutes in the lot for pickup. If I go through chewy they try to make me pick up a paper prescription to send to the chewy folks, or say my script is non existent. Y’all are playing games with my pets health for profit. My poor dog is literally eating himself alive waiting for an apoquel pill at a reasonable price. Seeking a new vet.

We called many places looking for a place to put our dog of 17 years to rest and that offered cremation services. From the phone call to the end of it all we received the best experience. Dr. Conway spoke with us before the process and walked us through everything. She reassured us that we were making the best decision, based on his health. We plan to take our other dog there for her needs. Staff was very understanding and patience with us. They deserve more than just a good review.

Things that I accept: 1) County Line had to start having people wait outside and text in due to the pandemic 2) The labor market is pretty tight right now so it's probably hard to find good employees 3) You probably won't read this whole review unless, like me, you're deeply unhappy with service you've received at this vet Things that I don't accept: 1) Waiting in the car for 10-15 minutes for the front desk to answer a text only for them to ask another question (which I answer immediately and have to wait another 10 minutes to hear back about) 2) Eventually walking in to the office because the front office girls won't answer my text only to find FOUR of them sitting there chatting like it's Sunday brunch 3) Spending thousands of dollars (and I promise you that's not an exaggeration) on heartworm treatment, bloodwork, monthly prescriptions, etc. and being told that, if we'd like to get an appointment for a follow-up heartworm test anytime in the coming several weeks, we'll have to pay an additional $60 "urgent" fee 4) After years of County Line forwarding our prescriptions to Chewy so that they could be delivered to us, being told that they are no longer willing so we will have to go to the office and pick up a paper prescription to send by letter mail to Chewy. We got a call from Chewy and they've never heard of this, it's very transparently just County Line trying to keep us from getting our medicine anywhere else. This vet office has gone downhill very quickly. The vets are good and it's close to home so we were willing to pay the higher prices out of convenience but there's truly nothing convenient about it left. You'll be nickel and dimed at every corner, wait unreasonably long times just to get in the door, and you don't get the "valued client discount" anymore to reward years of loyalty. There is good news though: we've just started going to Chisholm Trail Vet Clinic (also here in NB, also convenient) and got an appointment same week plus they price match Chewy on prescriptions (no snail mail required). It's nice to feel like a valued customer again.

This place is a waste....a money dump into a black hole. Two small dogs...annual check up/shots/heartworm meds for 6 months - $500! Took our mature cat in with what appeared to be a rear leg dislocation...they found nothing wrong...then talked the wife into a worthless $100 diabetes test. Net cost FOR virtually nothing...$170. NOT worth your time. Staff obviously trained to find ways to suck up more cash.

We had a really bad experience with Mrs.Fowler and her Team. Don't go ever there!! Very unfriendly..very expensive and absolutely not competent. She said our dog is not healthy enough at all to travel with us overseas and didn't sign the necessary paperwork for the USDA. We went to a really good Veteran in Seguin which helped us the last minute.

Great vets however service in the front needs improvement. Texting upon arrivsl.and wait outside for service needs to stop. The text and wait is very slow and not customer friendly. Business now needs conducted inside at the counter and wait times improved.

They are over priced and take forever during drop offs. Every time we have taken our animals there, we wait over 30 min in the car for anyone to bring us in.

The staff from the front, all the way too Dr. Dorris were caring, knowledgeable, and attentive to our animals' needs and your questions. It was appreciated, as was the drop off appt availability, and reasonable prices. We will be transferring our other animals here soon.
