Banfield Pet Hospital New Braunfels, Texas

I made an appointment for my 2 dogs to get vaccinated, I called to confirm appointments and was told they screwed up and had only put one on the schedule. They would notify me to advise if they could get the other one in, they did not contact me. I asked how long it would take to get the vaccines and was told it is about 15 minutes. I was told I needed to drop her off at 10:30 and they would be done around 2 p.m. hopefully. When I asked to speak with the manager I was told she couldn't talk on the phone because I wouldn't be able to hear her. I am disgusted with the lack of communication and customer service. I was told the next available appoinent was 4 weeks out. I contacted a local vet and have an appointment for both of them in one week.

Great place, awesome and very professional crew, they value my time, appointments are precise to the seconds. Kudos to Dr. Tewell, a true professional, extremely knowledgeable, love what he does and treats his patients with extreme care. I have never had such a great experience with a veterinarian like I had at this Banfield. Keep up the great work.

Every time you call the front desk to make an appointment you get put on hold hold for atleast 5 minutes.

Really great people. They explain everything and prices are average.

They took wonderful care of Callie and Zeus. Everyone is very nice and knowledgeable on both our kitty and puppy!

Don't know never been except to pet smart for dog hair cut ..there not bad.

I do not take my dog there...they can only do basics once you need more help you are on your own.Our old dog died and we still had to pay monthly until our Contract was over.Shame!!!!

They are wonderful with my babies

Really like the hospital in new braunfels and the staff at this one that I know have been really great and love our fur babies. But it is pretty pricey but that comes with the territory of owning animals.

I love this veterinarian for my dog. I drive from Austin to bring my dog to the specific Banfield. I’ve been so happy with all the treatment he’s received since going here. My dog Max loves the whole staff and team because they treat him so well

In an emergency situation, I was put on hold for 20 minutes. We have the package “deal” but apparently it’s not worth anything. When my call was finally picked up and I began to explain my situation, I was interrupted. Told no appointments for 2.5-3 weeks and maybe I should try another Banfield. I’ve had it with Banfield. Cancelling membership or whatever it is. Going back to an old fashioned vet who would say,”bring him right in and let me have a quick look to make sure it’s not serious”.

Good pet care for affordable monthly payments.

I was waiting for the doctor to get back with me, they take awhile, about my dog. Don't have enough people for up front to help .

Great for preventive care, but they will not help you in emergency situations... With the name "hospital" in thoer nsme I expected more...

Huge selection, not the friendlyest customer service.

They have proven Not to be there for your pet when needed. Paying for their wellness plan for almost 10 years but when my dog wasn't feeling well, they were unwilling to fit him in and instead referred us to go anywhere else. They claim to be preventative and not a treating hospital... What!?! Disappointment is an understatement!

I'm tired of pay for the pet plan and never being able to get an appointment when my pet is sick. Then having to spend extra money on an emergency vet appointment. I've been with Banfield for 12 years and have been happy up until the last year. Time to change vets.

Banfield is a money PIT. Took my dog for an exam, lepto vaccine, heartworm test, and they tried to trick me into the monthly subscription that “covers” a bunch of stuff. I called to make her an appointment when I got her on Valentines Day, they couldn’t get her in until a MONTH later, after they cancelled my dog’s first appointment then rescheduled for a week later. If you’re in the New Braunfels/Seguin area, go to Pet’s Choice off of 46 in between New Braunfels and Seguin. They got me in right away for an emergency, took very good care of her, and she got to roam around the office with toys and the staff along with their backyard play area. Dr. DeCola’s staff is very responsive and called me twice with updates on how my dog was doing, and the tech sent me pictures and videos of my dog playing with the Dr.’s dog. They are VERY reasonably priced, responsive, reliable, and they care. They’ll take your money only because they have to, they CARE about your pets. GO THERE INSTEAD!

Bad experience, just found out,u pay the whole year and only get 2 wellness visits a year and your automatically renewed for another year,each year

I wasn't confident in the knowledge base. I asked some very basic questions that a vet should know and was left with "I don't know". At my job, its "I don't know; let me find out" Just laziness and poor work ethic. 65% markup on one set of meds.. the other prescription was more 93% markup. If you go here, have them do the visit but beware of the upsells. You can get the meds for much less online... first google search too. Its probably from pressure that the pet store puts on them for revenue share. Either way, I fault myself for not finding a dedicated veterinarian in the area. My lack of diligence got me a convoluted diagnosis and a significant loss of money. I've been with Banfield for several years. Its hit or miss. I won't be back
