One of the cleanest facilities I've been in. The woman that we talked to was very helpful.

These guys are very caring towards the animals. I've adopted several time from them and the process was quick and easy. We now foster since they're overcrowded and we have the space.

The various staff I have interacted with over the past week have been very friendly and willing to help. A stray cat near my home was hit by a car and injured, and NPD dispatch sent Animal Services out very quickly. The cat took refuge under a nearby house, so I volunteered to try to catch him on my own volition. They have been extremely helpful and patient in guiding me on the trapping process as I’ve never done it before. The staff member at the front desk took her time to explain my options thoroughly without rushing through. I know they are very busy people, but I could tell they truly cared. Bonus: their facility was clean and cutely decorated for Halloween.

Don’t recommend this place at all,I had a Husky lab mix that I could not find a home for and ended up having to take him in to the shelter with the hopes of him finding a good home the lady at the desk said he would go straight up for adoption…and I know they post all there pets they get in on Facebook to be adopted so I check every day with the hopes of seeing his picture on there….so I called to ask if he had gotten adopted….she tells me they put him down because they were overly crowded and can’t keep animals for more than 2 weeks…now I have seen the most ugliest rattiest dogs at this animal shelter for more than a month…So only because the lady at the desk failed to tell me (We are overly crowded and can’t take him in)I would have most definitely made different arrangements he lost his life for no reason without any chance of being put up for adoption at this place..

Thank you so much for taking care of my little buddy. He was healthy and happy when I got him back. He was kept in quarantine for 10 days after he ran away. He likes to explore. Someone picked him up and turned him in to you. So thankful you were there to care for him. Thank you for helping me bring my baby home. Frodo has been my little buddy for over a decade.

My girlfriend and I adopted a dog from here and were horrified when we saw the conditions the dogs are kept in. They are left alone in small cages in a room with no one watching or looking after them. Many of them were sitting in there own urine and excrement and this was close to closing time. The dog we adopted had a staph infection and hook worms. He had patches of his fur missing from having been left to itch himself all day in his cage. Not much of a shelter, more like a prison.

They were very rude and would not take this puppy that was in my yard even though it was a Thursday and cold and raining and pup had nowhere to take shelter! I couldn't keep her at my house and they wouldn't let her come back till Monday! That really sucked. They don't help with things like that after 4pm just FYI! It was 4:15 when I got there with her and they don't close till 5:30. They told my to do whatever I wanted with her???? even if it meant dropping her off somewhere! I was very upset and disgusted

They are a great place to take in intake animals that you don't own, but today I'm very dissatisfied. They tried to take the cat out of the kennel of my car and the poor pregnant baby ran off in the woods. It's common sense that you don't take cats period out in front of the loud highway. Any baby would be scared out of their mind and she ain't Ferrell, she's a sweetheart. Hopeing and praying she'll be OKAY and they can catch her????????????

I have spent hours upon hours here. When I was attending SFASU, I would often volunteer at the animal shelter and spend some time playing with the puppies and walking the dogs. It’s such a rewarding experience, these babies need all the love they can get. and if you are able to, PLEASE ADOPT! You are also able to log your volunteer hours if you happen to need that.
