In general I like the doctors there. Dr. McCain… I know from Memorial city animal Hospital. Very caring and very efficient . The problem I have with this place is that they charged $17 to cut cats claws a few months ago. Now they charge $26. It takes about a minute and a half to do this process. Now I believe they are instructed to barely cut the cats claws so the customer has to return more often . I let my view be known. It was ignored. …… and I was very tactful about it :-)

They took great care of our cat through her regular check-ups, through her cancer operation and on to the end. Always kind & good at explaining the issues and options, when such was needed.

We will never take our pets to Lake Olympia Animal Hospital again. The receptionists are very rude and seem to never know any information about you or your pet. The most recent time I paid, I had to ask the receptionist for my dogs medication. She looked at me like I had no idea what I was talking about and made me wait as she went to the back to check what medication I needed. I also took my dog there for surgery recently and when we showed up that morning the staff came out and asked "So what surgery are we doing today?" This was EXTREMELY upsetting. Imagine going to the doctor for a surgery and the doctor comes out and asks YOU what they are surgically performing on you that day... I treat my dogs as if they are family and after a year of going here they only make me feel like another dollar to add to their pockets. When I recently brought my dogs for their check up, the vet was in and out of the room and every time she would leave she would come back 2-3 minutes later asking if I wanted to add this or add that (basically trying to charge me for things I did not need). Since when do dogs need flu shots??? For two dogs I paid nearly $600 for a check up. It's actually pretty funny how much they scam you... Not to mention when I took my dog for her surgery (the same one I spoke about earlier) the doctor called me to talk me through her recovery process. She had to get stitches and we had to keep a cone on her for a couple weeks so she didn't mess with them (normal stuff). As the doctor (Dr. Jacobs) explained the stitches to me he said "It looks like I was drunk when I did these stitches but I promise I wasn't." I get that this may have been a joke? But also a very odd and unprofessional comment. We had to take her back THREE times after the surgery because her stitches kept coming undone. After the fourth time, we decided to go to another vet and will NEVER be coming back here. I am not one to write bad reviews but I am so absolutely y upset with this vet I could not help myself. Do not take your dogs here.

You could tell the staff and the doctor really care. They took plenty of time with us. Also helpful and accommodating to our dog’s special needs.

During my dog's exam, it felt that I was an unofficial vet tech by lifting my dog onto the exam table and holding her for the examination. I didn't appreciate to have tests pushed on me that were not due. it was uncomfortable for me to pull my dog's medical records from phone to prove to the staff she doesn't need the tests while simultaneously holding onto the dog during the exam and shot administration. For the booster shots, I was miscommunicated that the 2nd vaccinations shots needed to be paid for. I'd expected the fees for the first to cover. We waited about an hour to be called for booster shots. I'm guessing that day was busy. during checkout, the receptionist lost her patience when I miscommunicated (hard to hear with masks and Plexiglass). Vet Exam was $12 more than another local Vet.

Every single person at this clinic was so kind and accommodating along the way. The Physical Therapy Team are amazing! I took my dog to their office for P.T. after a TPLO knee surgery. The initial evaluation was very thorough and did measurements before agreeing that hydro therapy was his best choice. He was signed up for 6 weeks of PT and they were incredibly flexible with the scheduling of it since we were coming from across town. Due to covid protocol I wasn't able to go in for his sessions, which I appreciate the safety measures and didn't mind. They took and sent videos and pictures for me and finished his last session with measurements again to confirm his progression. They worked quickly and after 3 weeks of hard work and their efforts I could tell a significant difference in my dogs knee and walking ability - and I appreciate the LOAH team for that!! I would consider making them my regular vet even with the longer distance drive, such a fantastic office and I'd recommend them to anyone!

I absolutely LOVE everyone who works at Lake Olympia Animal Hospital! Every single one of their staff members makes you feel at ease when taking care of your fur baby or just in for a regular routine exam/check up. They send email reminders for those of us, like myself, that can't keep track of all the appointments, plus they always provide a cozy hospitality feel that no one else does. It's not just a vet clinic, it's an animal hospital and all of the doctors, vet techs, even reception and check out staff, make sure they do whatever it takes to make sure every patient and client gets the help they need. 100% will always recommend them to anyone and everyone for all their pet care, because there is literally no other place I'd want to take care of my babies!

Would just like to thank Dr.Brode and Dr.Remark. Dr.Brode has taken extra personal attention to my pup Merlot when he was diagnosed with cancer. She went far and beyond with calling the specialist to responding back on her day off. Can't give her enough credit for taking such good care of not just merlot but mimosa who puts everything in her mouth and Dr.Brode has always been there to keep her going cause this dog thinks she has nine lives like a cat.

Such a wonderful Animal clinic. I came in with my dog and notified them that he was not too friendly with other dogs and I decided to wait outside. The tech calls me in, we walk swiftly to an exam room and it went very smooth. Now I will tell you my dog DOES not like or trust just anyone but this tall girl (Abby or Ashley) was so friendly and very knowledgeable. My dog adored her and the Veterinarian Dr.Dodson was just as amazing, he got down on the floor and did his check up there. It was very refreshing to know I have picked such a compassionate place to bring my pets.

Dr. Hessel was amazing and took time to listen to my concerns about my senior puppy. Even called me to follow up.

If you want that your pet doesn’t’ make it then this is the facility to go to. The most unprofessional pet hospital. My 3 yr old baby boy’s (cat) critical surgery was performed by Dr Brode whose areas of interest include rehabilitation, nutrition, pain management, and stem cell therapy. Not even once they had the professionalism to say their hospital could not perform this surgery and we should only and only go to ER for this. They told us that surgery will be done at 8am the next morning and when I called at 8am they said there are other animals ahead of him who are scheduled for surgery. He was the last surgery they performed in the afternoon and then called us to move him to a 24 hr facility. Sugar Land Veterinary refused to take him as the surgery was done at Lake Olympia. When they claimed he didn’t make it, we noticed his entire underneath of his body was cut open. It was not a Laparoscopy. He was cut open from below his chest to all the way till his private. My baby boy is no more with us due to their dishonesty, unprofessionalism, negligence and to top it off a pain management Dr performing critical surgery. I lost my family member to this ridiculous money making business which is opened in the name of taking great care of pets. Dr Brode and Dr Adam’s, I hope someday you feel and go through the pain that we are experiencing. These are not cats and dogs, they are someone’s baby and grand kid. We trusted you more than anyone to leave our baby in your hands. Have the balls to say No to surgeries which your facility cannot perform/handle. Don’t play with our family member’s life just because it’s an animal to you and all you see are green dollar bills.

We suddenly lost our cat today. She was young and healthy and her death was a shock. We called the vet asking if we could bring her to be cremated. We expected we would just drop her off. Instead we were met by an incredible group of staff who were ready for our arrival and immediately took us to a room where the vet examined poor Tulip to see if she could determine a cause of death to give us some peace of mind. She spent nearly an hour of her time with us, much of it just listening to us and our feelings. Even though we took up valuable time and effort on the part of the staff and vet, we were charged nothing and was even told we could stay in the exam room as long as we wanted afterwards. (We paid only the expected cremation charges.) Lake Olympia Animal Hospital has always been professional, knowledgeable, and kind. Our puppy Teddy actually loves going to LOAH for grooming, boarding, and even when sick. Although I’ve always thought of LOAH as the best vets I’ve ever had, today brought home why. If you want excellent and compassionate care for your pets, I strongly recommend Lake Olympia Animal Hospital.

We are so happy with the treatment. Medication is very effective. No more bandage is also a very good way to treat her tail. Mimi gains weight, happier, sleep better this past week.

Great vet office. I've been bringing my dogs here for 13 years. The staff is always friendly, and the vets and technicians take wonderful care of my dogs. I've seen several of the vets here over the years and haven't had a bad experience with any of them. I appreciate the time they take with me during a visit. I've never felt rushed and they are happy to answer any questions I have.

I love coming here! Everyone is very professional and very kind to my pet. I have a 3 year old Shar Pei that I’ve brought here twice and Dr.Mccaine is the best vet around! she treated my dogs skin problems and his skin has looked better than it has in months, she also treated my family’s dog Yorkie with a collapsing treachea and he’s doing so much better! All in all this establishment has amazing staff. If you’re thinking about bringing your pet here, please do!! They are the best! 10/10

Unfortunately, this wasn’t the first time the staff here was rude but fortunately for me I decided to take my business elsewhere. Seems they are too busy making money they must not need any additional monies. Poor service and lack of interest/respect for people of color.

A bit pricey, front desk customer service is amazing, and they don’t have military discount. A lot of military family have pets and travel around to get to their next duty station for a pricey animal hospital at least provide military discount for the service members for their fur babies.

Dr. Adams has been taking care of my Cocker Spaniel for about three years and Dawnette (groomer) for over a year. I can't say enough good about this clinic! Staff are always very friendly, even when they are super busy. Dawnette is sweet and consistent, even when my dog is feeling sassy. Dr. Adams truly cares about our pets and has great bedside manner. I'm so happy to have found this clinic and am thankful for them.
