I am very upset with this new staff they hired for receptionists. They have no sympathy or care about your pet! I have been coming here for years and have that have been taking care of my pets for over 5 years! God forbids it’s an emergency because according to the receptionist they don’t help if you needed to make payment in something that can potentially be over 500$. I remember when they cared more about your pets life and made arrangements for payments. Now what it seems like they only care about is your money. I will be taking my business else we’re like the reception said.. and let’s not even mention how the receptionist badmouth about me to my new vet!!! Lack of professionalism! It’s so sad to see what this place has turned into.

I have been coming to AMCM for 3 years now. Dr Hickman is thorough and fast. I like that I am in and out for our appointment in less than 45 minutes. The staff are so nice and friendly. They all say hello to my dog, calling her by name, when we come inside. She loves it here as well. They saved me thousands of dollars by recommending treatment over surgery for a partially torn ACL. They don’t do unnecessary blood work or x rays. They ask you before they do any testing. It’s really a great place. I consider them “old school” vets as newer age vets really do seem to rely on testing and blood work way more than they should (it just drives up your bill). I originally came because the breeder of my exotic tortoise told me he trusts only Dr Hickman. So I went. Now all our pets, dogs, rabbits, and tortoises are all cared for under the same vet. They really are lovely here and treat you like family. If any of my clients (I’m a dog trainer) ask for a well priced vet I send them here. I can’t even count how many I’ve referred over to this office.

Initial visit was great. Very kind and caring about my dog. Dr was very thorough discussing all my concerns. Look forward to a long relationship with this office in caring for my pet.

I've been going here for decades with just about all of my dogs. All employees are caring, knowledgeable & respectful. Dr. Hickman is experienced & I wouldn't trust my pets with anyone else. Their boarding facility is clean and has plenty of room for your pet. Thank you to everyone at Animal Medical Center-McKinney!

I have been a client of Dr. Hickman's since the early 90's. He has worked with my whole family as we have loved 5 different dogs. He has always been the benchmark for a doctor's care; he is compassionate, honest, obviously great with animals - and equally great with their parents. When it became time to say goodbye to our beloved fur family members, he and his staff (equally excellent) were so kind and compassionate with us. He is NOT allowed to retire, what on earth would I do ??

We are big fans of this entire office. We came with our two Mini Schnauzers (Moxie and Maisel) when they turned one year old and have been so impressed everything. Customer service, pricing, bedside manner while in the exam rooms, education on what is TRULY best for our pups, and step by step what they do as they do it. They let us choose, without judgement, which vaccines and operations we want to move forward with. This clinic has been a dream so far and we are so thankful!

We have taken all of our dogs to them and have been blessed with their special treatment. Thank you for being here for us,

Have taken our first set of poms here for 10 years and our last dog for 5 years. Even though they have changed faces since covid, they are a great clinic to board and take care of animals.

My husband and I were directed to this animal clinic when we found two injured baby birds in front of our home. When we called, the receptionist who answered was astonishingly rude, she wouldn’t even offer an alternative suggestion as to how we can help the little birds which my husband explained would most likely die without intervention, we were willing to pick them up and bring them in so they could get some help and this woman just hung up on us. I called back two minutes later and supposedly someone else answered the phone. A woman named Deborah who then insulted my intelligence by saying that their phone had not even rung in the last 15 minutes and she was sitting there the whole time. Makes me think Deborah was the woman who hung the phone up on us and didn’t think anyone would call back to confront her. Either that or they’re so checked out at this clinic it makes me glad we don’t use them as our regular vet. An animal hospital with staff that hangs up on people when they call about helping two baby birds is not a place I would trust with my pets.

Have been taking our pets to Randall Hickman for years............also like his two newest vets........can tell they really care about my dog and as she gets older, they are making sure she stays healthy. Recommend to someone looking for a good vet.

Correctly diagnosed my chihuahua with complete kidney failure and helped me with the correct decision not to let her suffer after another clinic in Houston failed to diagnose her after months of visits as her kidneys were in decline. They are a humane clinic that looks into the best interest of your pet and they truly love animals. I recently adopted a new rescue and Dr. Morrow and team are taking excellent care of her. Good job. We are always treated like special people and our dogs are loved and card for at Dr. Hickman's place. The entire staff have become extended family and our dogs are their main focus. There are so many wonderful things to say about this place! I have visited this Vet on both ends of the spectrum, brought my best friend a few years ago who had passed over night and brought my new best friend in for his first shots recently. Both times I felt welcome and taken care of! The doctor, every vet tech and the crew on the front desk love animals and made us feel right and home! My boy Natsu and I will be back soon! Puppy tax included!

Started bringing my dogs here and they are very courteous and professional. Vet & vet techs take time to allow you to give details about your pet and listen when you are explaining concerns. The vets have a lot of experience and clearly know what they are talking about. Highly recommend!
