The staff are very pleasant and explain everything to you! The Dr is so sweet and treated my baby with wonderful care and I love how comfortable she made both of us! The best in Lufkin!!

This place absolutely rocks!! The front desk lady was so friendly and so were the other 2 that came out while I was there. Music was playing, a lobby cat was spralled out enjoying life, and you can tell these people really love your fur friends. Will be back everytime-- 1st pick!!!! Dr. Em knows her stuff! All around great vet! She very gentle and kind to my dogs and cats! Wouldn’t want to go anywhere else if I don’t have to!

Dr. Parker is the by far the best Veterinarian in East Texas. You can truly tell how much she cares about ALL of the animals she treats. Her “bedside manner” is incomparable. Southern Haven’s doggy daycare is unlike any other service in the area. My pups get so excited when we pull into their parking lot. They know they’re about to get spoiled and have so much fun playing with other pups. I recommend Southern Haven to anyone looking for a wonderful place for your pets! 10/10 every time.

I love bringing Fiona (Fifi) to SHVC, for doggie day care, and for kennel boarding. She walks right in, so that tells me she loves the girls and care she gets. I took our cat for his shots. Also took our male pug Bugsy in for itching problems. He recommended 2 shots 1 antibiotic and 1 for environmental allergies. He will need the allergy shot every 4 weeks. It's been 3 and itching is under control. Great staff. We had a longer than usual wait. They waived the exam fees. Very professional

I've had several emergencies and a number of normal visits. Everyone from Dr. Emily to all of her staff were so attentive and caring. It took me 14 years in Lufkin to finally find the right Dr. for my dogs. They are absolutely the best!

We had a great first visit to Southern Haven. Dr. Emily was prompt, professional and sincerely caring. My dog loved her. She performed needed labs during our visit and gave us a detailed plan (both in print and in an email) on how to begin fixing my dog's issues including diet and grooming. She provided natural remedies, not just a bunch of pharmaceuticals, which aligns with my approach to health care. I highly recommend Southern Haven!

I recently during a severe snow storm in Lufkin was looking for a vet to help with my cat. I called another place but did not answer. I contacted Southern Haven Vet Clinic. It immediately asked my to either leave a voicemail or the ability to text the office which I really liked that. I hung up and automatically got a text from them with an AirVet app link to have a telemedicine appointment. So easy I downloaded the app and had to make an appointment and paid my office visit by googlepay...that isn't automatic. Dr Emily Park contacted me pretty quickly. I gave her the symptoms my pet was having and she prescribed her something. Paid the prescription thru Cash App. And drove by the clinic to pick the prescription. Yes she did request an in office visit soon. It was easy, fast, and very convenient given my situation. This is an amazing vet clinic.

I left my husky in doggie daycare AND boarded overnight for the first time. I love SHVC! They kept me updated with pictures of her playing with her new friends and texts of how she was behaving! I recommend them to anyone and everyone!

My dachshund broke a tooth on a hard chew bone and she ended up needing to have oral surgery. Dr Emily and her staff were concerned, kind, and caring while treating my fur baby Hazel. I am very happy and so are my doxies with the quality of care at Southern Haven.

If I could give this place a million stars I would! Our cat of 10 years was injured severely by a neighbor we still don't know if he's going to survive but these ladies up here are miraculous and there's not a doubt in my mind he's going to pull through this because of their care and the way they treated me when I was in my hysterics and the way they talked to my kids and treated them with it all going on they are absolutely amazing I will never use another vet again! Ladies from the bottom of me and my family's hearts we love y'all and we thank y'all you guys are amazing!

After reading all the "positive reviews" I took my baby boy to this vet thinking that we were going to get high quality care. After spending in excess of $240 for "routine shots" I took him home only to watch him get sick and become lethargic. I've repeatedly reached out to the vet only to have no return calls or emails. This vet is not only highly unprofessional but the lack of regard towards the welfare of my child gives me reason to think that maybe she won her license in a Cracker Jack box. I recommend that you seek professional care for your loved ones elsewhere.

Southern Haven Veterinary Clinic & Pet Retreat is such an amazing place to take your pets! I highly recommend them! I was able to express my concerns and actually get the answers we needed for our precious Fendi. They took the time to do a thorough checkup and see what the best treatment was for her. And Pugsley had his first checkup! Fendi is on the road to recovery thanks to these kind and knowledgeable people. she is sleeping good tonight, for the first time in a while! Thank y’all!
