If you're anything like me you get anxiety going to the doctors. Taking my pet to the vet is no different but, the staff at key made our visit as smooth and easy as possible. I can not thank you guys enough. Chester (Our cat) is doing great and in the future, shall i need medical services for my furry family they'll be coming back to you.. Chester and I thank you! Highly recommended!

Dr. D was recommended from a client at my former veterinary practice (I was a veterinary assistant for 7 years) when she heard I was moving across the country for graduate school. She’s always very good with my cats, especially as we’ve worked through medical issues with both cats in the last year. The cost is also significantly cheaper than my previous clinic.

Kind, and caring staff and Doctors. I was running late to pickup my cats meds so I called to see if anyone could wait for me because I was going to be there after closing, and without hesitation the vet tech said she would wait for me to arrive. Love this place!

Absolutely the best. When taking my cat to my other vet he always came out nervous and upset. Took him to Key Animal Clinic, he was calm and comfortable. Totally at ease. Love this place.

Dr. Shockey is amazing!! We had an injured 8yr old English Bulldog and she had helped nurse her back to health and now she's doing awesome.

Wonderfully sweet! Helped us find the homes of two strays on a holiday weekend! Came right out to our car, gave us the chip numbers and a phone number to call for reference!

I was referred to Dr. D for acupuncture for my 15yr old shepherd mix with degenerative myelopathy. My vet agreed I should try it. I had a great visit. Dr. D did the acupuncture session, but she also gave me some prescriptions as well as supplements & exercises for him, and I really appreciate the integrative approach.

Brought my cat in for a tail tip amputation from being caught in door ( maybe 1/2 inch) was told from the beginning we might have to amputate the whole tail if there were problems. We understood but surgery went great brought him back to release bandages and still great. The next morning he had bit his tail and a stich had came loose and this is where the problems began. I was not allowed to go in the clinic due to the covid situation and so with a open wound they decided to just to wrap the tail up with no repair or new stitch so the nicely open wound was surely going to stick to the bandage ???? and was told about amputation again... 1 week later we took him back to find that the bandage had stuck to his wound ( well duh common sense) so the tail had to be soaked to release it. I again was told that we would need to do a FULL AMPUTATION of his tail 11 in they wanted to cut off after 3 weeks ( which for 2 weeks he was in bandages from surgery)and there was no other option. I told the vet to leave my cat alone and bring him to me and I would not return. I immediately called live oaks and got him in that day. I was told by this vet to put the cone on the cat and leave it open to air and it would heal. Low and behold 3 weeks later my cat is out of the.cone and doing great. Moral of the story is this vet, which me and my family WERE customers of was more worried about amputation of my cats tail than actually caring for my family member. We loved this vet when Dr Key was there but since the ladies have taken over I feel it's all about money to them. I have lost a cat before to negligence and not getting a second opinion and I vowed this would never happen again, I'm glad I went somewhere else to save my cats tail. ???? Life long customers lost here and we won't be back.

We have been going here for around two years. The vets themselves are fine. Not super personal but did the job. The vet techs and secretaries are another story. We’ve been treated with unkindness, and the secretaries have been quite rude over the phone and in person. Time to look for another vet with a better overall environment. Also- prices are outrageous!

I cannot begin to say how thankful I am to this clinic. My cat began coughing, so I made an appointment with my vet in Plainview. They couldn't get me in for a week. I called the other local vet, same story. A couple of days later, he began to have distressed breathing. I called this Lubbock vet because I noticed another review from someone who had a cat. They told me to bring him over immediately. Well, he had heart failure with fluid buildup that was causing breathing distress and there was nothing that could be done. They were compassionate and allowed me to be with him when I put him down. At least he didn't have to suffer for a week. They gave me a clay mold of his paw. I am so thankful for their care and professionalism.

Overpriced, understaffed, and don't have the necessary space to even turn a circle in their clinic, that is if you can even get an appointment scheduled anytime within 2 weeks or less (good luck). Had been an avid Key-goer until recent experiences here have just been less than helpful, rushed, and then left feeling waste to have paid $75/ visit with minimal effort or concern applied.

I am super happy with our visit to Key Animal Clinic. I called all over town to find a vet clinic to help us with our cat , seeing how our regular vet was completely booked and so was every clinic in town ! No one would make room for our injured baby but Key animal clinic booked him right in under an emergency walk in and they fixed our big guy right up . They were very open and helpful and went over all costs and treatment plans with me which is so much appreciated . Any vet hospital would have charged me way more and after seeing some of the reviews on some of those hospitals and fees im so happy that Key Animal Clinic offered me a better, affordable way . I would recommend this place to anyone thats wondering if this would be the right place for them to bring their fur babies to . Thank yal again for being so kind and helping us out .

I wanted to bring my pet here, curbside only. I called in the receptionist, she said opening the door costs 81 dollars. I assume closing the door would cost another $81. This is just unashamed highway robbery.

I absolutely love this clinic! I've been bringing my cats here for 3 years and I trust them unconditionally. I just did a curbside appointment and it was quick, took less than 30 minutes, contactless, and they were very thorough with the annual checkup as well as options for helping keep my pets as healthy as possible. This is the only clinic I'll go to in Lubbock!
