I can say this. The people here care. Not just for your family member or livestock but the well being of the animal. I would recommend these folks everyday of the week. Compassion and consideration for your value is definitely a small town and this offices way. Thank you

Disgusting place!!! Terrible staff, unprofessional behavior, & very neglectful of the animals who are brought here.

Dr. Curbo is a great Vet. This man really is passionate and loves animals. My labrador retriever got heart worms and I thought it was over for my long friend. My old vet sucked so I was recommended to Dr. Curbo by a friend. Dr. Kirby perform miracles and my dog survived he still by my side now. Thanks Doc

I’ve used Dr. Curbo for years. However, the last two times I’ve taken my dogs I was less than happy with his evaluations. My older dog clearly has a hernia and Dr. Curbo asked if I wanted a biopsy done if the knot and did nothing about my dog’s paw itching. Then we took our new puppy, expensive breed and rare coloring. Dr. Curbo said that he needed to be neutered because one of his testicals had not dropped and never would. I refused that option. Upon leaving, I checked our puppy…and it was very evident that both had dropped down into the sack. Dr. Curbo may need to see about retirement.

I would like to share an extremely devastating Facebook post, that a family friend made, due her dog dying after being taken to this clinic, however it’s not allowing me to upload photos nor the entire post. 1. Her dog had a seizure, and as any dog owner would do, she took him to a vet. Their dog was given surgery, they were able to see him for a short amount of time, then he was put into the ICU. A few hours later she went back to the vets office to check on him, and he was dead. Not only was that the case, but he was hard, so obviously was in there for a while. THIS STAFF DID NOT WVEN KNOW HER DOG HAD PASSED AWAY!!! They allowed her to go back there, when they had not even checked on her animal....while in the ICU. Not to mention their, “Intensive Care Unit”, is a shed, with no ac, and without any supervision! That’s right, not even a vet tech in the icu. When telling them her dog was gone, they acted as if they didn’t know, then the vet himself asked her, “Well what did you expect me to do..stay back there all day?”..... If you are in this area, and you have an emergency with one of your animals..please call Livingston Animal Hospital...bc this office does not care about the well being of your animal. I think that goes without saying, due to the fact that an icu is for close monitoring, and not only was there not one person keeping tabs on the animal...there was also no ac. I’m no vet, nor doctor, but I presume exposing an animal to harsh climates after having surgery will do much harm and no good. I cannot believe they have 4 stars on here, especially when I KNOW this is not the first issue that has happened at this clinic. I’m not in anyway saying they are bad people...I am just stating that you aren’t paying a vet to be a good person, you are paying them to help your animal. I would rather have a jerk who is rude, as long as they help my animal. This is wrong and I feel so heartbroken for the young lady who had to bury her dog, which is basically her child..due to an icu with no ac, no supervision, then to be treated as if she is asking for the world to stop turning, when she’s just asking questions about her animal.

If I could leave a review with zero stars . I would. They neglected my Australian Shepherd in their “icu” unit with no one monitoring him and I , myself, found him dead and the staff was unaware of his death. ANIMAL NEGLECT

This vet is responsible for my sisters dogs death!! Not only did he neglect the dog but him and his staff had NO SYMPATHY to her. She walked back to the shed they had him in and found him dead and in a deep stage of rigor mortis. DO NOT BRING YOUR ANIMALS HERE!! They also charged her twice for a less than 24 hour stay and when she called to question it they were very rude. How does one get charged for 2 days when the animal was there less than 24 hours? I called them personally to ask for the vets license number and the lady was rude and I still have not heard back from the “doctor” it’s been almost 48 hours. Take your fur babies literally anywhere else.

This place let a sweet dog die that was suffering and trying to recover from a stroke. They left the dog unattended for who knows how long when it was in critical condition. When the owner arrived to check on their dog, they told them to go on back. So the owner did, just to find their dog had passed away. When the owner informed the workers, they showed no compassion and said “Did you expect us to stay back there with it all day?” Do not go here if you have a choice. Please.

Since I moved up here to Coldspring from Pasadena I've been only coming to this vet office. All the employees are very nice & helpful...and the Doctor is the very best.

If I could give this place no stars I would. Don’t take your pet here!!! The lack of compassion and professionalism is unreal. This vet only cares about money and paying upfront. Wouldn’t give us any options on how else to help our dog after telling us she was brain dead from putting her under for a prolapsed rectum. Every question we asked was followed up by “we can do that but it’ll cost you more”. This man was ready to give up on our dog but we certainly weren’t. We voiced our disappointment and wonder at how he could be so shallow. His colleagues laughed in our faces. I’m in utter disbelief at how he could take advantage of people who love their pets dearly.

He has no compassion for someone losing a pet. I didn't get rude until he got rude with me. Been a customer for years, no more. There are other vets that will take my money. Thank you for saving me 173.00, to put down a dog that only weighs 4.5lbs.

I decided to give this man a try because he’s closer to my home and I had used him years ago. I recommend it to my wife that she take our litter of German Shepard puppies to him to be vaccinated. After hearing from my wife and friend how they were treated I regretted my decision. He’s unprofessional , unfriendly . If it I’ve been there I would’ve abruptly ended the visit and taken my business elsewhere. I gave him one star because zero was not an option

The receptionist is abrupt and discourteous. we have used Area wide for several years and literally every single time I have encountered this woman she is rude, intentionally disrespectful. it is appalling that she chooses to treat people in this manner. I love the Vet and the nurses, and have no problem whatsoever with them, but seriously considering not returning due to this very unpleasant character.

I have always had good experiences with Dr Curbo. I followed him from one vet clinic to where he is today. I have never been disappointed. I have used him for more than 20 years.

I wish I could give this review without marking a star, let me start off by saying I'm a very patient and friendly person, I don't like giving bad reviews I understand we're all humans and mistakes are made but there's no sense in being rude and abusive to patients and clients when you make mistakes, first of all brought dog in from being severely wounded from cuts from playing in the yard (still under investigation) doctor got upset and rude after he wanted to repair a laceration to the groin which cost an extreme amount of money but said neutering could be cheaper so that's what we requested, don't want to breed him anyway, stayed overnight for surgeries came the next day to pick up the dog receptionist does not acknowledge me no one else was there I had to say what I was there for, the nurse which was cordial only cuz she didn't have much else to do, ask me to sit in the front exam room, the doctor came in the room with his attendant brought in the wrong dog, I have never seen this dog before, the so-called doctor got upset after I only made a joke about the situation( I said that's not my dog unless you gave him a paint job which I thought was kind of funny trying to make light of the situation) I then heard him abusing dogs (yelping sounds) in the back slamming cages, I can only assume it was my dog he was abusing, treated me like a child telling me to back out of his face( i was wearing a mask and following safety rules at all time)after telling me I needed to know and see how to change his bandages I was only holding and comforting my dog after being muzzled coned and slammed around in his cage, we brought the dog in an emergency situation deep lacerations to the ligaments and tendons and bone to front leg requiring sutures staples and cast which there was no cast only gauze and tape, neutering and shots we're given but had a another dogs name attached, procedures he claimed to have performed but did not gave me wrong pain medicine for another dog insisted that we bring the medication back immediately after having left his office an hour before which was impossible they started making threats, paperwork intertwined with my dog and another dogs aftercare instructions, overcharges for things not used or performed refuse to take a personal check or payment by phone, said that was against the law, never mind the inconvenience and cost of having to drive all the way back there the next day to deliver drugs that were dispensed improperly, was told my dog could lose the use of his foot without a cast but the doctor refused to see him any longer, well don't worry about that doc we WILL NOT be back!!!! You take your sick animal to a vet because you love and care for them but this man only cares about himself and money....it's been a rough year for everybody and I'm sure it hasn't been easy for that Dr either but if you care about your animals or yourself respect don't go to this place unless you're willing to pay a lot of money to have yourself and your animals abused....beware
