I am so thankful to the staff and vets here! I came home and my senior cat that I had raised from a kitten was in distress. I called them in tears and my experience from that phone call to having to say goodbye to sweet Holly could not have been any better. Each person was so kind and caring. My husband was stuck at work and the nurses spent extra time with me as I was struggling and having to make horrible difficult decisions. I knew what was needed but it was such a comfort to have caring and knowledgeable staff help me. We have been here twice before with our dog and the staff was just amazing and he is doing great! I hope and pray I never need to rush to the emergency hospital again, but in the even I do I feel very safe and comfortable coming here.

I took my Mastiff here in December was quoted 2 different prices. We didn’t have the 2.5k for MRI and blood test at the time so we did 800 dollars in blood test and scheduled MRI for January after trying to get quotes for two weeks they finally called back only to reveal it’s now significantly higher 4 to 6 K without any explanation on why it went up. Trying to reach someone at this place is awful. I will never take another animal here. Please read the reviews here most of there 4 or 5 stars are from people who put there animals down not from people that actually had to deal with them!

My Baby yorkie pictured somewhere in this app was diagnosed at age 4 with meningitis/encephalitis “ME” of the brain. Sadie is an amazing animal. I think she takes care of me more than I her. I took her to my Vet, Dr. Kussmaul, Harwood Road Animal Hospital, thinking she has cataracts! To my dismay and fear it wasn’t. After many tests, Dr. Kussmaul referred me to Blue Pearl Pet Hospital Neurology Department. Okay neurologist for animals! How do they know?!?! Amazing to me. They took my baby to get her started with some serious medications, IV’s, chemotherapy Sadie was in the hospital four days, IV’s, chemo, the works I say they zapped her. It’s a good thing. I wasn’t allowed to see her during this time either. I had to put all my faith and trust in doctors I was told are best in the state, she’s in excellent care just try to keep the faith. Well long story short, I still have my Sadie! Two and a half years almost three in April I havenever had a a problem with the doctors or staff I have had , through it all , time with the doctors explaining everything to me and sometimes several times in the beginning. We didn’t know if she’d make it some 6 months some a year or so and some come through and are in remission. I can’t say enough, with tears in my eyes, about the care excellent phenomenal unbelievable care actually by anyone that works there. Sadie loves to visit, that says a lot for a dog and what she goes through chemo, blood test monthly. She’s happy cuz they truly care about her and give lots of love while with them from everyone! Not just my Sadie cuz I’ve watched any animal that comes into the hospital. It’s “real care” for animals and not a requirement to work there. They truly care, are experts in their field, which there are several Departments with unbelievabl doctors. I’m often told when a doctor is gone for a while to another hospital and comes back “Is that Sadie. I love that dog she’s so sweet and cute! She is to me all that and so much more. I’m grateful and thankful for them! Keeping my baby alive and happy. I tell them often. They need to hear the good cuz they’re better than good - excellent, specialized and will work with you and help your baby get better!!! Five plus stars!

Thankful for the helpful staff with care for our cat. Offered many options and helped us make the right choice.

Go here if you want them to lie to you repeatedly and forget about your dog for 8hrs. When I finally got to pick him up they just said "sorry about the wait, he's fine" and he "must have slipped through the cracks because of other more critical dogs". I will never come here again and will make sure to tell everyone about my experience.

My boyfriend's beloved boxer passed away the day after Christmas. I called several different pet hospitals for help, but to no avail. I called Blue Pearl, and they were the most caring and compassionate over the phone and once I arrived at the pet hospital. Our sweet whiskey was doa on arrival, but the 2 ladies that came out to help remove him from my car, treated him as if he were still with us. The lady at the front desk so sweet and compassionate and helped me pick out his cedar box for his remains to be placed in. Upon picking him up today, I was treated with the same heart felt care and compassion as the day we lost him, and took him in and said goodbye.

On December 11 a few Saturdays ago, I had to rush my cat Antonio to BluePearl as he was in a lot of pain. Antonio was 17 1/2 years old, and I had brought him home when he was eight weeks old. I had to say goodbye to him on this day, As I could not allow him to be in pain anymore or attempt to live a quality of life that was not fair to him. Dr. Bierwiaczonek was the most kind and caring wonderful Doctor’s to help me through this very tough time! Thanks to the entire staff at BluePearl for your support! Antonio is now at Rainbow Bridge with his brother Dusty, probably running through all those fields of golden grass! I highly recommend BluePearl of Lewisville as they have taken care of my other pets too!! Antonio is now back home with us, thanks to ToothAcre Pet Care Center of Carrollton, who took care of Antonio after his passing. We will always love and miss you Antonio!!

My dog became very ill, very quickly and needed to be put down. I took him in and was greeted by a lovely, compassionate woman at the front desk. The nurse that we got was not near as compassionate and very rude. Not what I needed at this time and bc I had two children with me all the more uncalled for. The veterinarian was just as lovely and compassionate as the lady from the front desk. He explained how grave our dog's condition was and gave us the chance to say our goodbyes. This all happened on Christmas morning and I honestly appreciate the compassion shown. Could've really done without the shortness and attitude of the nurse though.

We arrived around 11:30 AM Sunday. It was not too terribly busy, We were moved into a room pretty quickly, and they took our pup back very fast... We had NUMEROUS vet techs talk to us during our stay so we weren't really sure who our point person was. Long review short - around 4:30PM we were discharged after not finding out the issue, and we did not actually get paperwork or our dog back until nearly 7PM. almost 8 hours at the ER on Sunday, still with no answer as to what was wrong, and out 600$ for 3 x-rays. Id use this place as a last resort, definitely in it for the money, and their communication/follow up is terrible to say the least. 14/10 do not recommend.

Blue pearl is a God send! The entire staff is an army of angels. I had to call them SO many times for advice about my puppy’s seizures and every single person I spoke with was calm, compassionate, and educated. Over the course of just a few weeks, we met four different docs (2 neurologists and 2 ER docs) and we loved each of them. Their concern for our puppy and their efforts to help her were greatly appreciated. We ended up having to make the horrible decision to euthanize after we exhausted all efforts and could not keep up with her seizures. The staff cared for us in those final moments in ways I was not expecting and I am forever grateful for how they helped us create positive memories at the very end. We will cherish those final happy moments forever, especially after the rapid decline of our puppy’s health. The techs gave her chocolate and popcorn and she was the happiest I had seen her in weeks. We were given all the time we needed to snuggle our baby before we had to let her go. These people are heroes and I will recommend them to absolute anyone and everyone. So so so thankful to Blue Pearl for their hearts for these animals and their owners. Thank you! Thank you for loving our precious puppy ????

Dr. Lindsay and nurse Karly were amazing. I was scared and they patiently explained treatment, cost, and answered questions. The compassion from check in to check out exceeded any expectation.

Our vet sent us here to see a neurologist for a dog that had spinal injuries from an accident. We were told a vet would do an initial exam and it would be 2hrs before the neurologist could see him. We left the dog and returned a little over 2 hrs later to find the vet hadn't done their initial exam yet. We were ushered into a waiting room where we waited another hour before a vet came to talk to us. It took almost 6 hrs for us to receive the service we requested when we walked in the door.

I was referred to Blue Pearl in Lewisville by Readi Vet when they were unable to diagnose my dog who had been sick. When I arrived at their office the Dr. (Sonya Hansen) took my dog in the back for a physical exam and determined next steps. She came back with highest (9k plus) and conservative options ($1,600). I decided to go conservative until we had more answers. She said that there is a possibility that my dog has lymphoma cancer so she would like to do a chest X ray, and oral sedation to see if the cancer has spread. On top of that they would also do an aspiration of the lymph nodes. I asked the doctor directly if this could just be an infection and she said it's not likely and that lymphoma cancer was likely the cause. The thing is she had no idea if my dog had cancer so there should have been no need to do Xray's or oral sedations until a biopsy came back. I took my dog home and had her on the antibiotics the doctor gave me and as I suspected she started to get better and the test results came back with no signs of cancer. I spent 5 grueling days believing my dog could be dying when in reality it was nothing more than an infection she picked up that was cleared up with one round of antibiotics. The entire experience was a racket from start to finish.

I am so beyond thankful for the ER staff and the Neurology department with how they took care of my Sheltie who ended up being diagnosed with epilepsy. I never felt like I was out of the loop with what they were doing for her, and I never felt like I was being charged for something she didn't need. Everyone was so kind and helpful in a situation that I otherwise felt helpless in. And God bless the ER doctor that saw me and thought to ask how I was doing with everything going on. It was nice to feel like y'all not only cared about my girl by my overall well being too.

I've been here before both for ER services (fine) and for specialty services which is where I have my issues. After a COUPLE of calls that have now put my dog's health in potential danger, I'm finding a new vet. I have a hard time believing these people care about your animals. I have two other specialty vets whom I adore and have been using for years, so I'm not a drama queen or an exceptionally difficult client. Their "follow-up" is truly awful. You know how you hate leaving messages because you are positive that no one is ever going to get it? Yeah...they never get it. (Or if they do, they don't care enough to call you back.) Yeah, they're expensive but ER/specialty vets usually are so that's expected. One of my other vets (I have 3 in addition to this one for my one dog) told me that when they became BluePearl, the quality became terrible. Basically the same old story--go Corporate and go to...well...you know. In it for the money and not the care. My dog had what I thought was a diabetic event last night so I rushed him to BP (close to my house) and they took care of him last night. He wasn't better tonight so I called and said I was on my way in and was told "Dr Seyfert won't see you". I said that's fine, I'm not there to see her...I'm going to the ER. She said, "no--you can't be seen here, either." I told her "I was just there last night". And her reply was, "I know--they weren't informed you shouldn't have been seen." So because one doctor there and I had a disagreement, this hospital was willing to put a diabetic, senior dog's life at risk. Let me be clear: my dog has 4 vets. I don't have issues with any one else--meaning I'm not some hysterical, hard to please client. This was really shocking to me that they would turn away a sick animal. Hate me all you want but don't take it out on the dog. There was no screaming, there was no hysterics. There was a direct email from me and a voicemail from BP that they "may have dropped the ball". MedVet just made $6000.

First visit. Very clean and professional. A little expensive but I guess that is expected for emergency pet hospital. Our dog is undergoing testing and treatment.

They made one of the hardest days of my life so much easier I had to put my best friendfor the past 18 years down. The staff is so kind and passionate. I wish I could use them as my normal vet when we get a new baby. I can't put into words how much I appreciate everything they did for me and my little guy.

This review is for the internal medicine department. My dog was under the care of Dr. Seyfert. Dr. Seyfert was amazing and put medications in place that gave my dogs several more years of life. Please note- this practice is not cheap but you get what you pay for. We received a high quality of care. Whenever I had questions/concerns in between appointments I always received a response from Dr. Seyfert within 24 hours. Also- her secretary Terrie is amazing as well! It was very easy to make appointments and get a hold of someone when needed. I highly recommend them for your internal medicine needs.

How BluePearl treated and took care of Monti in his last moments I couldn’t begin to say thank you. As soon as we got into the door I felt weight lifted because the staff was there taking care of him. They are the most gentle and caring staff I have ever met.

Very professional and very helpful throughout the entire process. In the end our pet Bella had cancer that went undetected and was a losing battle. We drove from out of town to try to save ours pets life. I read previous comments about pricing, I don't believe life has a dollar amount and in the end nature will take its course. Your paying for a professional service and equipment that isn't in the area for hours. 5 outta 5 is un understatement

I honestly wish I could leave a better review because Dr. Day was truly helpful and from what I could tell, an amazing Neurologist. However, upon bringing our dog in, we went in thinking at the very least she would just leave in the same condition we brought her in, which was paralyzed from the waist down. But that was not the case. The ER Doctor (whom I will not name out of respect) in my opinion, made a colossal mistake in treating our pup that unfortunately cost her her life. We brought our dog in around 1:30PM expressing extreme concern for the paralyzation in her back legs that had been going on for days but the previous ER we visited suggested rest and to give it a few days. But we decided to take matters into our hands and seek a second opinion, which is when we visited Blue Pearl in Lewisville. We also expressed concern for the fact that she had no voluntary movement of her bladder or bowel movements and could not use the restroom on her own, which is when we specifically asked for an ultrasound that day upon check in to make sure there was no bladder complication. Which sadly they did not do. They became hyper focused on the neurological side it seems like they neglected the other issues we had expressed great concern for. Either that or the doctor was busy and not giving our dog her full attention or she was incompetent and wasn’t aware of what she was doing. We received a call from her that night saying our dog was doing great and she was going to set an appointment with the neurologist the following morning and then we could decide to elect in surgery if it was applicable. Upon not completing the ultrasound the day we brought her in, they performed the next day when she was deemed in critical condition due to medication reaction. On top of which, they realized that due to the Paracentesis they did in lieu of the ultrasound the day we brought her in, which is essentially a needle used to remove fluid from the abdominal region, it left a small hole in bladder that caused all fluid in bladder to leak and cause a rupture, which is what led them to finally performing an ultrasound to see what was causing the sudden worsening of her condition. The paracentesis led to an array of issues which left her health unstable and they could no longer stabilize her critical condition, which didn’t even leave us an option for surgery to help fix the bladder, and sadly we had to euthanize her. Maybe there are other doctors at this hospital who are more versed in the procedures and what they are re doing, however sadly our dog got the short end of the sick in the situation and I honestly wish we would have never brought her here. I understand human error is inevitable and it does happen even in medical circumstances, but it did not seem like any responsibility was even accounted for on their end. If they had any respect for our wishes and concerns as the owners they would have completed the ultrasound and I truly believe our pup would still be alive. As someone who is pursing a career in med school, it’s extremely disheartening. If you are thinking of bringing your pet, I would seriously suggest asking around for a better option. Especially if they are in critical condition.

They've diagnosed and cared for the stray cat we picked up. Dr Seyfreid, the internist, was great. Office visits are followed up with a written report, confirming what was done and results. So much better than Animal Hospital in Grapevine where they're always "too busy" to let you know what's happening with your pet.

Great facility. I wish i had never had to come here but i am glad i found them. Lizzie had a health emergency. The staff here was great and no where near as expensive as i thought it would be. They truly care about the animals more thsn the bottom line. They took care of Lizzie got here stable and gave her the treatment she needed to be comfortable thru the night so we could take her to her normal Doctor for more xrays and stuff.. Also the Doctor who treated Lizzie had the most calming voice. She was very honest and is blessed with a very calming voice which is a plus when working a pet ER where the owners are already worked up worrying about their animals. You will not find a better ER for your pets.
