I cannot recommend this place enough. I have a primitive breed dog so she requires more work and has some extra sass to her and Abby was amazing. She taught me how to work with my dog. We worked in five private lessons and Abby was so great with my dog; she would watch both how my dog was reacting but also the technique I was doing to be sure that everything was going well. In larger groups, Abby is just as observant and alert for how dogs are behaving and offers assistance if needed. Truly the best dog training I have ever done (we did a well known pet store first) and I will to continue to work with them for whatever training needs I have.

One of my dogs was aggressive with my boyfriends dog and we had to move them in together. I thought there was little to no hope for his behavior around him. After only 4 private lessons with Jake, our dogs are able to be around each other within close proximity and live under the same household. After only one private lesson my dog was listening and responsive to commands. I am so thrilled with our experience at k9 and we are so thankful. All of the staff are great trainers.

Left my two pups for two weeks here to board and train, with trainer Daniel. They have made amazing progress and i am pleased with the process. Daniel gave me weekly updates / videos and was readily available when I wanted to check in on the two via text. During my pick up lesson I could tell Daniel really bonded with them. I will definitely be bringing them back for further lessons in the future!

Completed the intro off leash training program for our high-energy lab. Daniel was very professional, attentive, detail oriented trainer. He was available for any questions from our home practice sessions throughout the three weeks period.

Whisky (2yo) and Ginger Ale (9mos) had a very productive, safe and fun 3 week board and train stay with Abby. Abby sent weekly videos of their progress and kept me informed with responsive communication. It was definitely harder on me to leave them that long. Each dog progressed immensely in their discipline and overall basic training. Abby closely listened to my overall goals for each pup and totally nailed it!! Pickup day involved a very in depth 1.5 hours of going over all they had learned and teaching me how to reinforce what they learned. Best investment I’ve made so far with my four legged babies. Thank you, Abby. We will see you in two weeks for follow up. Hard to see Ginger Ale in the pix.

We are doing at home training for our 4 yr old dog, June, who is very shy and fearful. Logan comes to our house every 2 weeks for training. The sessions are always so helpful and Logan is great at individualizing the activities and training just for June. I saw huge changes within the first 2 sessions! Our bond is stronger and June is more confident after every session. I know we will continue to make progress with Logan and Precision K9! ????

PK9 did an excellent job with our GSD and Belgian Malinois for boarding class. They gave us great updates and we're open to the education we wanted. It was clear that they really knew what they were doing with our dogs and how to quickly communicate with them during our private 1:1 sessions. Our dogs are more obedient and receptive. We're not the best at doing training at home but even reinforcing it a little goes a long way. They totally understand that we don't want our dogs to be dependent on e-collars. We haven't taken advantage of their group classes or monthly walks yet but we definitely want to I highly recommend trying them out!

I attended the “Understanding your Working Dog” seminar that Precision K9 held a few days ago and was thoroughly impressed - even as a professional dog trainer myself. It was jam packed with tons of crucial information that I wish more dog owners were aware of. After the short lecture, the rest of the day was filled with live dog demonstrations and helpful training tips. Awesome job on providing the canine community with an amazing learning opportunity for such a low cost. If you need help with your dog in the Leander/GT area - look no further!

We had a great experience at Precision K9 (Leander location) for our 7 month puppy. We were lucky to work with Abby Schaefer who was super patient with us given we are first time dog owners, took time during the evaluation (free) to understand our specific needs and helped us get most out of the training. I love the combination of private and group classes enabling our dog to get comfortable handling multitude of challenges. We saw a big difference in our pup pretty much after the first lesson. Highly recommend this place!

My husband and I feel obligated to share our experience with Precision K9. A few months ago, we dropped off our 9-month-old German shepherd at this facility for a 10-day board and train program. The limited reviews seemed positive and indicated that they had experience training many German shepherds. Prior to boarding, we were told that we would receive multiple updates on our puppy’s progress and overall experience. Everything seemed fine for the first few days and we received a few updates with close-up pictures and commentary. However, over the course of the week, we stopped receiving as frequent updates and started receiving videos taken from a distance instead of close-up pictures. About halfway through our puppy’s program, we received an email from the staff letting us know that our puppy found a way to rub her face on the kennel and irritated her nose, but it was nothing major. Around day 8 of the program, my husband and I decided that we were missing our puppy and we asked the staff if we could pick her up early. That’s when we started to notice the red flags... The staff refused to let us pick up our puppy by saying they were fully booked and could not facilitate a pickup time. After a few additional questions, we were told they actually took her home overnight to one of the staff’s homes without our consent. We pleaded with them to allow us to pick her up early and they again refused. Finally, a few hours before our scheduled pick up on day 10, we got a call from the owner, Jake, letting us know that our puppy had multiple scratches on her nose. Based on the conversation, it was our understanding that we still had nothing to worry about. When we arrived at Precision K9’s facility, we were horrified and heartbroken by the condition we found our puppy in. Our puppy had multiple large wounds on her head and nose, her skin was covered in scabs and lesions and she seemed like a shell of her once playful and fun-loving self. Completely devastated and shocked, we begged the staff to give us details of what happened but the only staff available told us that they didn’t know the details of what happened. We immediately took our puppy to the vet for emergency care and talked to experts / other animal caretakers. Everyone that we talked to said these injuries are not consistent with anything that they’ve seen in a normal boarding program. Precision K9 did not communicate the extent of these injuries to us or seek proper medical care for our puppy. To make matters worse, Precision K9 let us know that they are not responsible for our puppy’s injuries during the boarding program due to the agreement we signed upon check in. We see our puppy as a member of our family and it has taken our pup months to recover from anxiety when entering day care or boarding facilities. We hope our puppy never has to experience this trauma again.

Jake has helped my family with two different dogs. We did a board and train and he also found a dog for us. He was helpful, patient, effective and a pleasure to deal with. I have referred multiple friends to Precision as well. I recommend this company.

Have a two and a half year old German Shepherd, I've had for one and a half years. Got him with some aggressive bad habits. Jake and Precision K 9 have been able to guide Thor myself in the right direction. Jake was able to handle my dog after the first visit . I am very impressed with his methods . I look forward to working with him in the years to come. Thanks Precision k9

I took my 2 year old Rottie to Jake for obedience training. I quickly learned my Rottie, although extremely hard headed, was willing to work. It was me who needed most of the training. Jake showed us how to work together with both a pinch …

We use Logan to train our dog. She is excellent. We are unable to come to the facility for classes so Logan makes house calls. She understands canine behavior well and tailors an approach appropriate for the particular breed and circumstances. She made good suggestions on collars, bedding and treats. We are very pleased with Logan’s work and would highly recommend her and Precision K9.

Enrolled my German Shepherd pup for the 2 week puppy board and train and was very impressed by the results. I get compliments on Rockys obedience daily in public. Everyone at Precision K9 is super knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. Planning to return for advanced obedience and eventually personal protection in the future. Highly recommended this place to everyone I know with a pup!

I reached out to precision K9 to get some help cleaning up my pups “non existent obedience” in hopes one day I could trust my boxer off leash. Only 3 lessons later, all the basics are down (and a few other tricks the kids were hoping to see) the whole staff is amazing and helpful. They did not try to push products or tools, in fact they were very willing to work with me with my previous collar. Or let me know websites/brands that were both quality and cost effective. Group classes have also now given me confidence my little boxer pup will be off leash ready and a lot sooner then expected. With everything going on in the world. I expected scheduling to be a nightmare. It was always so easy to reach out to them (text or call) and reschedule an appointment even same day! Every expectation I had was exceeded and my only complaint is I wish I spoke with Precision K9 sooner. Anything from family pet to working dog or just guidance with issues or bad doggy habits give them a call!!!!
