The staff was friendly and knew what their job was. My pooch was very well cared for.

Horrible service made an appointment @ 3:30 on a Friday showed up they told me I had no appointment so I told them I would wait. After waiting for an hour and half that they were gonna charge me for after hours. Came back the next week walking are a 9. They told me vet wouldn’t be in till 12. Waited all the way till 3:00 pm just so they could tell me they never checked me in and I was gonna have to wait cause all the rooms were full. Never will I go there again. Lady in the front literally told her other co workers “ I have no idea what I’m doing “ and they were giving us attitude as if it were our fault they screwed up

Dr. Leyndecker was amazing as usual. She is so caring and always knows what to look for when examining my fur babies. She always reassures us and makes us feel as comfortable as possible

The staff, techs and vets truly care about the animals that are brought in. They have the top equipment here in Laredo to treat animals. I highly recommend them if you are seeking veterinary treatment for your domestic or exotic animals.

Came in for an emergency, really loved the service provided.

Took my chihuahua mix to get neutered, she has had no complaints about pain or fussyness, and she was treated nicely for her service. Would take my dog for check ups again

I took my guinea pig to get seen and it took 6 hours to get him seen. When he was finally seen the vet didn’t even run any kinds of tests. All she did was checked him with her stethoscope and just suggested “change his diet”. Then I took him to another veterinarian and turns out he was actually very sick. So would not recommend, some doctors there just want the money and just hurry up the check up to get you out as fast as they can.

Only vet that answered for an emergency on Sunday.The dog is alive. Thank you Dr Leyendecker.

This vet is awesome, took my rat in and evaluated, staff was really proactive about the situation and the surgery needed. What stood out for me was that even during a miscommunication the office stood up to their mistake and did what was possible to get my rats surgery done, just good business practice all over the board, also to keep in mind this place is budget friendly, will continue going here and highly recommend this vet for other rat owners.

I do not care what any person with a negative comment has to say, critter care saved my cats life!! Dr. Leyendecker is the most reliable veterinarian I have ever known! Trusted her since the very first time I took my baby in. Can always count on them to be there for my cat when he needs them most! Absolutely love this vet clinic

Best veterinarian in town, hands down. First-time visit is pricey but the cost does go down considerably after that. Personally I do think the service is well worth it. My border collie lived to be over 17 years old and I always considered it to be in part to Dr. Leyendecker’s care and advice. My fur babies and myself are very grateful.

All I can say is that when I took my bearded dragon in with a growth on his eye, Dr. Leyendecker and Dr.Brenk did all they could to save my dragons eye. Even though they weren’t specialists in dealing with reptiles they did all they could and saved his eye. Genuinely good vets with a genuine care for animals.

Regardless of all the negative comments people have said, I can honestly say I have had no problems with anyone.. Or the treatment ofy pets. They have been treated right and with care.

Usually this place is really nice, and I've taken my pets there in the past. Took one of my dogs to get fixed and had great service, but recently I took my pets to get checked and Dr lyendecker was pretty rude. I'm sure she was having to stressful day but the experience wasn't so great.

I have used Dr. Leyendecker over the years. She is so passionate about her job. I know when I go to her she is going to tell me like it is - like it or not. I am confident that she is going to provide excellent healthcare to my pet. She has seen my cockatoo, cat and several dogs. One pet in particular was a homeless that needed to be put down due to a terrible disease. Today, she spent a lot of time with me and Odie. Odie is my son’s Jacob dog … I lost Jacob eight years ago so Odie and great memories is all I have left. I’m confident in her care. Let me say - I love her staff too ! Especially Elizabeth. Elizabeth has worked for the doctor for YEARS and she is also a great reason to use Critter Care. You need a Doctor like her in your pet’s life - ❤️

Dr. Lyendecker is a compassionate veterinarian who puts the health and well being of our pets first while still being considerate of our feelings and concerns. For quality care and love we trust Dr. Lyendecker and her amazing staff. They were extremely empathetic to us when we had to put our cat down. And consoled us when it was just too much for us to take. We are so grateful for all of their help and support during such a heartbreaking moment.

3RD UPDATE: Ozzy had his surgery and is in recovery. He needed more than 30 stitches. ???? Some infection had already set in and they had to do some debridement to remove that tissue. BUT he’s sedated and stable. ❤️ Laredo Pet Vet is doing an AMAZING job and being so kind to my mother. Adding some pics of sweet Ozzy. 2ND UPDATE: Ozzy is now being cared for at another vet but not before Dr. Leyendecker called the cops on my mom for refusing to pay over $400 before she would release Ozzy to get care elsewhere…. UPDATE: she just called my mom to say they didn’t do surgery on him last night like they said they would, he stayed with his neck ripped open all night, AND she saw this post and won’t be doing his surgery. My mom needs to pick him up ASAP. ???? SO FREAKING PETTY and unprofessional. My mom posted this after hours of being scared and being shocked and upset with this Vet’s demeanor. I CAN’T EVEN imagine the pain poor Ozzy is in please pray for him while my mom picks him up and finds another vet ASAP to do this surgery.

Wait time is reasonable, staff are courteous and helpful. Dr. Leyendecker is awesome! Your visit is not rushed. She is genuinely concerned for all of her animal patients and will take the time to answer all questions and concerns about your pet.

Dr Sandra Leyendecker has a heart of gold! She has always treated our pets as though they were her very own. She has a wonderful staff to compliment her professional service. On our most recent visit 07/20/21 we brought kitty cat Misha in, we had a concern with him. She gave us quality time and eased our worries. We left there feeling so good knowing that this type of customer care still exists!! Thank you Dr Sandra Leyendecker and staff!! We look forward to you helping us care for our critters as long as we are in Laredo!

I had my two dogs boarding there for about a week, and I was extremely displeased with the quality of their living spaces, it seemed like a small broom closet filled with about 15+ dogs, 1/10 experience and I will never be leaving them here again.

The Doctor was amazing. She was completely honest and caring and very, very understanding of my situation, Very professional and had so much information to share with us with our pets that is really helpful, made me realize how fragile our babies can be sometimes. The wait was a bit but when you see how many animals were being helped I completely understand. I was very distressed and I took it out on some staff but they were really nice and understanding thank you all so much.

Super long lines. Wait time is very long even though you have an appointment. Will not allow you to get prescribed meds from chewy.com

Knowledgeable doctor but the waiting time is horrendous....I waited 3 hours to see the doctor.
