I'm so thankful that they were able to find a foster home for our adult and baby kitten.

Many loving and cute dogs in bad situations are looking for homes. If you can't adopt please donate time, money, toys or treats to the shelter. I plan on making sure those babies have treats and food.

A great experience, extremely kind staff.

The fact that this is a NO KILL shelter puts it at the top of the list. They have a clean facility where the animals are well taken care of in preparation for adoption and the staff members are friendly and seem to genuinely care for the animals in their charge.

The staff is amazing. They take great care of the fur family in need of forever homes.

I called to donate a bunch of old pet supplies we gathered over the years and they were happy to take it. I dropped it off in their Pavillion without human interaction.

My boyfriend and I chose to adopt our new best friend from this wonderful shelter. Amazing dog and amazing people there!

I adopted my kitten at the San Marcos offsite location at PetSmart. I texted asking questions before the adoption and the PAWS representative answered my questions completely and gave suggestions. When I arrived, she was on time and welcoming. She let us meet all the cats and spend and equal amount of time with them, which I appreciated. Meeting them all made the decision harder but I appreciated having more options and getting to know the cats a bit better. I asked questions about them and she knew the answers right away. During the process, she was so helpful and engaging and welcoming. When I decided to adopt the adoption packet looked confusing but she explained it all so easily that I was able to work through it and she recommended vets as well. You could really tell she cared about the cats by the way she handled them, socialized them, and talked about them each individually.

Great shelter! They take really good care of the animals, and make sure you have everything you need to keep your animal happy after you adopt it.

Adopted a wonderful 7 year old husky named Akela. She is a blessing to have and seemed so happy and well taken care of. She was l kenneled most of her life and now she is loving a 1 acre back yard to roam and is already getting her health back. PAWS was awesome and the employees there really care. We got an awesome little gift bag to as well as Akela had all her shots and even heartworm and flea medicine. Wonderful place that saves animals ❤

Adorable pets and friendly staff!

Very friendly staff and helpful volunteers. We visited the cat room and it was nice to see them all out and about, not in cages. You got a real sense of how the animals are, and they seemed happier then being restricted to their 'little cells'. Ended up taking 2 little cats home, super happy.

Adopted a pup here about 3 months ago. Staff was wonderful and very accommodating in letting us see every dog we wanted. They are awesome!! For sure recommend!

I live in Austin area and I had been looking for a kitten for a few months now. I’ve went to three different shelters and nothing worked out. I found a kitten I liked on Petfinder and she was from Paws. When I emailed them and sent in my application that night they got back to me the very next morning. They reply in such a timely manner and the staff is SO nice. They set up a time for me to meet my kitty the very next day! I adopted her right after we met and they gave me a folder of helpful information, medical history, and a coupon. Adopt here!!! This was my first time adopting and I’m so happy with my experience. It’s currently day 2 with my new kitty and we are a match made in heaven!

Great experience adopting our dog from here. With COVID, you have to make an appointment and choose a few dogs from online. You can’t walk the kennel, so they’ll bring the dogs out to meet you. We initially came for one dog, but she was too high energy. We told the staffer what we were looking for in a dog, and he made some suggestions for other dogs. We met one of the dogs he suggested, and we loved him! Adopted and brought home the same day. Highly recommend.

Website said open for walk-ins, and people could fill out an app while there, and if qualified go home with your adoptee. Website had no phone number listed to call ahead about particular dogs of interest, just an address and that they're open seven days a week. They did have an email listed. All this info is false. Appointment only, have to submit an app first and be approved, etc. Not OK. I would have called in advance if a number was listed. Wasted trip.

Great place that really cares about the animals!

PAWS is an excellent no-kill shelter with very kind people who are very helpful. We just adopted our new cat penguin, and the process was smooth and easy

PAWS is a fantastic organization that works hard to foster animals until they find a permanent home. Most shelters in this area are kill shelters so I prefer to support PAWS. I adopted a stray and discovered she was pregnant! PAWS took the kittens for me after they had time with their mom.

Great experience....quick response, friendly knowledgeable staff.....would definitely recommend adopting fostering here.
