It wasn't a wait to be seen. Once seen the male nurse, seem to be looking down his nose at me. When I told them what I feed my cat and how much, he ran like I was starving her. She's a …

Expensive! Brought my dog in (new customer), for boarding and needed to have an exam done as well as a flu vaccine (second dose). They asked if I wanted to do the vaccine when I brought him in for boarding, I said sure, not knowing I’d have to pay ANOTHER examination fee. All they said is I’d pay for his boarding and vaccine. They gave me the cost for the vaccine ($44) not mentioning the $60 wellness exam that would be added! So all in all I paid $103 just in exams, ridiculous! I feel scammed! Not to mention I felt extremely rushed during our first visit, as if they just wanted us out of the exam room. I highly doubt anything will come out of this review but all I can say is BEWARE! Ask tons of questions so you don’t pay unnecessary fees like I did!

They don't have time for walk ins and the prices have doubled. Been going thier for 20 years I am going to the stage coach vet faster and cheaper service. They are willing to go out of their way to work with you and your family.

They charged me almost $600 to SPAY my cat. And then gave her too much anesthesia during the operation. It’s been 24 hours now, and she is still stumbling and her pupils are still too large. Don’t risk your pet at this place.

I boarded my three kitties for two days and one night at East Lake Veterinary Center. They received the best care and were spoiled with love and pets. In the future if I need to board my kitties this is where I will send them.

Since Dr. Joyner retired it has been a challenge to deal with EAST Lake VET Clinic. While it appears Dr. Stephens may care, it is frustrating to have my baby in distress while she (Dr. Stephens) refuses to authorize a script for medications (not the first time and we have been told three or more different version for reasons) however, none of them are true. While they never have appointments available my baby has to suffer day. I am so very disappointment and feel East Lake Vet clinic does not care. It appears they have a preferential clientele' which we do not meet. Since Dr. Joyner's departure, the clinic is not what it used to be...caring! The clinic may appear busy AEB never having appointments (ever) available does not translate to being an excellent VET Clinic. Reply received and as noted in my comments - the record keeping is inaccurate. My babies Rabies vaccines were in Feb 2021 and are due again in Feb 2022. My male baby was seen in May 2021 (check our payment of ~ $350.) I paid the young gentleman who returned my baby after his injection and allergy treatment. Not sure what your records indicate or the disconnect in the clinic which may relates to new staff that has joined. While I thank you for your (inaccurate) speedy reply, I find it totally unnecessary to justify my personal opinion. Based on your inaccurate reply you vividly demonstrate why "loose lips sink ships!" Have a lovely day!

I must start by saying my fur babies are my children and I always try to make sure they have the best care. We just moved to the area and had our initial visit with the vet a few weeks ago. Dr. Stevens was very friendly and both my babies were excited to meet her which usually isn't a common thing for my female dog. The doc noticed some plaque on both dogs teeth so I scheduled them a teeth cleaning since it was time for their annual dental anyway and I am so glad that I did! Unlike my last location, this vet center took x-rays and found that my fur-son had a cracked molar and an additional tooth needing an extraction. I had just gotten his teeth cleaned a year ago as well as used additives plus dental treats over the year and was surprised that he had any issues which then had me become worried that I was being taken toward a scam. Dr. Stevens took the time to explain everything she found during the procedure and even let me see the x-rays so I knew what she was looking at. She put my worries to rest. She went above and beyond some of the other vets in the past. She even recommended products that would help our oral care path like they were her own dogs. The staff is also friendly and made sure both of my babies felt comfortable during their visit. The clinic is organized and also very clean. Thus far, I would definitely recommend this establishment to anyone that views their fur companion as part of the family.

I brought my dog in for an appointment, when I called I was told that they were lifting the restriction and allowing owners to go in with their pets later this week, but they can make exceptions. My baby has an open wound and is scared of strangers. The tech then told me I could not come in and he said he already talked to the vet. I choose not to add to his terror by sending him in alone. ♡ THANK YOU Aztec pet hospital in Harker Heights for seeing me and letting me be with him. Also Crossroads Vet in Coppers Cove allows you in with your fur baby ♡

If I could give this place a 0 star rating, I would. We brought in a malnourished kitten this morning (6/2/21) and it was dying. We took care of it over night and this morning we had to rush it to the Vet. The closest place to our house was here, and they told us it would cost 500 dollars just for them to do anything and that we had to put a 250 dollar down payment just for today’s visit. Now, because you horrible people that basically let this poor cat die a slow death, he’s dead now. My brother and I are heartbroken and we will never come to this place again. You guys deserve horrible ratings and to the person that opened the door, I hope that you are proud of what has happened to this poor kitten. He was only 6 weeks old!!! Rest In Peace to Helio, I will always forever love him and miss him.

My family started going to East Lake when I was a kid, now 30 years later here I am with my own furbabies and as long as I am living here, I won't take them anywhere else. Even when I lived in other cities further out I made the drive. Love this place

My friend went to this vet to bring a 6-week-of kitten whom of which was dying slowly, to get checked out, and they just rejected her and Helio, the kitten, and didn’t check him out at all. The customer service is absolutely horrible and unprofessional at best. When Helio had died, the lady that I think was the receptionist and one of the vets, had just shrugged her shoulders and said ‘He would’ve died anyways’ and started to catch an unprofessional attitude. If I could give them a negative review and rating, I would in a heartbeat. This was all in humane and uncalled for. I highly suggest that you fix the way you operate if you still want to keep this horrendous business afloat.

I've taken my dog to East Lake for the last 5 years. She has had a range of treatments and procedures during that time, including minor surgery and two teeth cleanings---procedures requiring general anesthesia that make me very nervous because of the risk of death if not administered properly. Yet I've never worried about the care or risk associated with such procedures at East Lake because of the world-class vet, Dr Carol Stevens, who is medical director. She was trained at one of the top vet schools in the country and has many years of experience to her credit. The hospital also has an excellent system of reminders for vaccinations and other routine procedures, both via mail and email. During the COVID-19 situation, I participated in the online medicine app which allowed me to consult with a vet at a very reasonably price before determining whether I needed to bring her in (which I was able to postpone for a month). Most recently, my dog experienced a traumatic event and was seen immediately upon arrival. The vets and support staff are quite friendly and, overall, the most professional I've encountered anywhere. The prices are competitive, especiallyconsidering it is one of the only AAHA accredited clinics in the region. I've read complaints in some of the other reviews about cost yet it seems some owners have unrealistic expectations about how much it costs to care for a pet, especially if you want the best care. You get what you pay for. My dog deserves better than some of these fly-by-night clinics with poorly trained staff and questionable veterinary practices. I would hope you'd feel the same about your dog or cat. East Lake is my clinic of choice for now and the foreseeable future.

I loved everything about this place! The phones were always answered. Their customer service was topnotch. My questions were answered and they spent time explaining to me anything I did not understand. From the receptionist to the Doctor, everyone was very caring and considerate as if my pet was their own!
