Dr. Rydberg and staff were extremely helpful getting our dog back feeling better. The receptionist was amazing and very helpful working us in on a busy schedule. My wife and I just moved to Kerrville and excited we have a veterinarian we can trust. Thank you Hoegemeyer Animal Clinic!

Everyone is very caring & kind & listen to you & remember your pet. Dr. Rydberg goes out of his way to explain treatments & answer questions & never rushes. Susan is very helpful & accommodating in scheduling & getting information.

Have been a customer since 1995 and they have taken care of my dogs and cats for many years and now they are in charge of my one Siberian Husky that is almost 15 years old. They are very caring and I truly appreciate them even though they are very expensive and possibly don't have the latest equipment {x-ray, research, lab} I am sincerely confident in their services, suggestions, recomnendations, and support actions.

These guys are absolutely amazing. We tried out multiple veterinarian clinics when we first moved to the hill country and it didn't take us long to find a our pets new vet clinic in Hoegemeyer. Their staff is extremely welcoming and all of our animals (except for one of our cats who is a bit of a punk) gets excited to see their friends when we pull up. I can't recommend these guys enough.

I began using Hoegemeyer Animal Clinic right after I relocated to KERRVILLE in 2000. I had three cats at that time and the staff has always taken care of our every need. Even emergencies. When it became necessary to say goodbye to my fur babies, one at a time I was given such support and help with each one. I chose cremation and they arranged that for me as well. I have no complaints, and my current baby, Bubba is at least 9 years old and a healthy 16 lb neutered male who has been microchipped. Thank you to all the Vets and staff from a very satisfied patron.

What a great bunch of people!! Everyone was so friendly and personable. That's on top of the great care they gave to sweet Rosie, the overzealous yellow lab. She's on the mend thanks to their caring methods. We had seen another vet in Boerne that slapped some cream on her sore foot pads and sent us on our merry way. It got worse and she was in pain, which is not part of her demeanor. Now, in just a few days with proper attention and caring, she is getting very close to her normal crazy self. Thank you to everyone at Hoegemeyer.

We have been taking our dogs to Hogemeyer Animal Clinic for 25 years. First Bogey. Then Queen Sheba. And now Miss Murphy Chowder. I recommend Hogemeyer Animal Clinic to all my friends. Very professional and responsive to any concerns we may have about our pets.

I was not allowed to go in the office. Did not see the facility where they would stay, but my 2 babies were fine and happy when we picked them up. The ladies that we did meet were very nice and friendly. I would take my babies there again.

I needed to take our Shih Tzu to the Frio River with me and we were out of her drops that keep her eyes from getting worse there. She has dry eyes and is sensitive to something in the grass in there. Due to circumstances beyond my control I couldn’t get a refill and I was already two days later than planned to take off because I was trying everything I knew to do but wasn’t being successful. By this time I was getting a little desperate. Kerrville is on the way to Leakey so I called the Hoeglemeyer Animal Clinic hoping they could by chance help. I explained my problem and they were all so nice and helpful. Susan Leonard, DVM, even continued the next day to try to get the drops at the same dosage we had been using. The next morning when she called me with the news that she couldn’t get the same dosage but if I brought her in, she would examine her and see what she could do. It’s an hour and 15 minutes to Kerrville compared to the two hour and fifteen minutes to San Antonio so I took her. She not only gave us a prescription for the drops she wrote one to help with her heart murmur and one for the respiratory problems she was having. I was very pleased with the staff and Dr. Leonard. They were friendly, professional and so caring. I will definitely use their clinic again when we are in the Hill Country.

The staff was very comforting, kept me updated with my puppy and took good care of her.

First visit. I was very pleased with the overall experience. Staff was great.

We’ve been going to Hoegemeyer since we moved here four years ago, and usually they have been great, but recently we had a bad experience. Our 13 year old dog was refusing to eat and she hadn’t had a bowl movement in over 24 hours. We already had an appointment the next day for a routine issue but we just needed some reassurance that this wasn’t an emergency, so we called and asked for advice and if she could please be seen that day just to make sure. Apparently only one doctor was in and the nurse said they couldn’t see her. My husband insisted, but she had no compassion whatsoever. She didn’t offer another option, like an emergency clinic or anything. She really put us off. We ended up taking our dog elsewhere and turns out she has borderline diabetes. Needless to say we will not be keeping our routine appointment here.

Thank you to Carol who "made room for our unscheduled visit" so efficiently. Thank you too , Jay Rydberg, DVM, who squeezed us into her schedule so graciously and pleasantly. The Tech who assisted her was also efficient and kind to me and my dog. Great teamwork to this clinic.

I am confident on any work done on my pet. Any information Dr Rydberg tells me, I believe it to be the best care possible for Minnie. I have told others where I take Minnie for her veterinary care.

Great place to take your animals for all their needs. They take really good care of them. They all care about your pet from nails being trimmed to critical care. They care for you and your pet.

You are required to wait in the car for your entire appointment. Had to fill out paper work, wait while it was entered into the computer. Wait for them to come get my dog and take her in for shots. All this time it is hot and humid outside. They are concerned about leaving animals in hot cars what about humans. My AC does not work and I did not take my oxygen with me so had a hard time breathing not to mention my little dog being hot

I’m new to Kerrville and I adopted a sweet chiweenie 4 months ago. My dog was showing signs of severe pain but I had no idea why. I made an appointment and was surprised that I could not accompany my dog. However everyone was very helpful. Dr. Leonard came out and told me what her evaluation showed and what her treatment plan was. He’s just begun his medication but I am hopeful he will be fine. I was very, very pleased with the whole staff and this has become my vet clinic for all future needs for my dog and any other pets that come along.

Staff always seem to genuinely care about our pets. Dr. Rydberg takes the time to come out to the car and consult with us on our pets' health.
