Over charge. Spent about $300 on visit and shots. Then Spent over $1000 on a dental and they wanted him to have more shots to get a dental. Unnecessary shots too. The vet missed a lump on his chest and want more money for that. I worked for a vet for 10 years and never did our vet charge for all this extra stuff. I spent almost $3000 on my 15 year old dog.

This vetinary clinic is the best. They genuinely care for the animals in their charge. They don't rush visits, they take time to make sure that the animals are comfortable offering them treats and kind words.

It was my first time taking my dog and puppy to the vet. The employees were super sweet and professional. I was able to FaceTime with my mom while they were getting check ups so she could see. The doctors and everyone there were all-around great people, I would definitely recommend going there.

This clinic has cared for our pets for almost two decades - beginning with our beloved Greg Wood. Taking care of bloodhounds is not for the faint of heart, and these folks have done it with kindness, expertise and compassion. Drs. Tran and Vest are consummate professionals and we're so thankful for both of them.....especially during the past six months, when we had to say goodbye to both of our dear hounds. We now have a new rescue with a myriad of medical issues, and both doctors have stepped up to provide the best medical care possible -- along with great words of advice for us as we transition him back to health. They are always quick to respond to a text or phone call, and are true partners with us as dog owners. The administrative and medical staff are equally wonderful and attentive....and we're grateful for all of them!

I live very near the vet so it's extremely convenient to walk my dog for her check ups etc. The staff is very nice and come across very professional but there is a MAJOR disconnect with them every time I try to get prescription approval from them when ordering medicine from a 3rd party. 2 years ago I had MAJOR trouble getting them to approve my dogs medicine despite her JUST finishing up her annual exam so I switched to another nearby vet. Fast forward to the present... I had my dogs annual exam a week and half ago with Kelliwood and immediately ordered her medicine with an online company. They still haven't gotten approval from my vet. According to the online supplier the request is still sitting in their inbox. The cynical side of me thinks they don't want to approve since they are losing a sale on the meds but whatever the reason they are losing more money because they are losing a customer.

Bad Customer Service ever! I have come to the VCA at Cypress and they gave us the best service ever so I recommended my sister to come to the nearest VCA for her pet. This VCA tried to overcharge her and feel like they don't like Asian here. They were so mean and she heard that a nurse said they don't have money. That's horrible and I feel so bad when recommend them to the nearest VCA. Their doctor don't even know my sister's pet is Boy or Girl. How? I don't wanna reply any email from this location because it's wasting my time. I recommend the Cypress location instead of that's kind of far from y'all. Terrible service!

My dog has been coming here and my dog has been dealing with a nasal tumor. We were currently trying to figure out the funds for the radiation treatment or if we were needing to put him down. It got to the point that we just wanted to keep him comfortable at home and had requested a refill on Prioxicam since this did wonders on him, I was told that I would need to take him in again for an organ check, because the prescription is too strong, before they can prescribe a refill. That was more money on my end for those procedures, at this point I'm thinking that my only choice is to put him down. How does this make sense? Can't I just keep him comfortable at home, the tumor was bringing my dog down with out those meds. Those were the only ones that helped him live a normal life. Well come to find out one day to another the funds came through miraculously, not expected at all. As I'm waiting for an appointment at Gulf Coast for CT scan, ect., I kept asking for something sooner, because my dog seems to be getting worse. So they asked what meds he was on. They also asked about Prioxicam. I told her what the Vet at VCA Kelliwood had advised. So she was a bit confused because she said on her end from the first appointment I had taken him for a consultation. She had prescribed 6 months worth of Prioxicam, because that was going help with the inflammation. Main thing to help control the nasal tumor. This information the vet should have from Gulf Coast Veterinary Hospital. I don't understand how this was miscommunication. Also if I had made my decision to keep him comfy at home at the time, how was it any different then being okay with putting him down? It's been frustrating that my dogs energy has gone down hill, but as soon as I was able to get that one pill again for him. He's been normal and holding on for his appointment.

My dog, who I love very much, had lost his fight, and is now in heaven. He was a patient for all his life at VCA Kelliwood. …

Great place, always great and caring with the dogs. Great staff, no matter which doctor is there. Excellent and compassionate with the inevitable end-of-life situations, too.

Dr. So is wonderful with Titan, even though Titan can be a handful he has always been very patient with him. The staff are always amazing. We always get a call the next day to see how Titan is doing. Thank you for all you do for our little man. Vince and Candy Derdak

I ended up as a client here because there were a couple people that worked in the front that I felt were outstanding. It made me very comfortable. I had one dog with cancer that needed constant blood work and another dog that is basically in a hospice situation and barely walk anymore. My dog with cancer passed away, but VCA was still providing a prescription for my hospice dog. Today, out of the blue, my pharmacy told me the vet was not responding to a need for a renewed prescription. My poor guy can barely walk the 10 feet to go outside anymore. But, no phone call or any contact from VCA to let me know they will no longer be renewing a prescription they have been providing me for a couple of years. As they have become the vet of choice for other family and friends based on my recommendation I am just greatly disappointed with the lack of communication.

I am quite upset at my experience at this establishment. My wife and I came in for a free exam for our 9 week old puppy; we paid almost 300 dollars for her vaccinations, just to find out later that the vaccines they administered were not necessary. Don’t come here, you can get cheaper, relevant vaccines at petco.

Like very much that they too are social distancing. Make you appointment, park outside. They come get your pet while you wait in your vehicle. Animal comes out and so does the doctor to discuss (with social distancing) pay and leave. Everyone is still very nice and our dog still loves going.

All the staff has been so friendly and helpful! Honest in their care recommendations and they don't try to just sell you everything. They're prices have been very reasonable, as well.

I’ve been twice in the past month after getting my dog for his exams/check-up. The first time I mentioned a concern and was told by the girl who came out to get my dog she’d mention it to the vet. It turned into a game of telephone and I never really got any answers because I wasn’t able to speak with the vet. 2 weeks later I go for a follow up and mention the same concern and all they do is prescribe a medication and that’s it (again I never got to talk to the vet). Later that day my dog was acting weird so I called in mentioning my concerns again and was told I can come back tomorrow and pay for another appointment. Long story short they were super unhelpful, and I feel only tried to get my money. My poor dog also seemed very unhappy when he got brought back out to me today. I will not be taking my don’t here again and would not recommend.

I loved the way they took care of Pickles and I was willing to pack her up and take her an hour away to get back to their services. They were very attuned to the needs of our littlest family member. We love our cat dearly and her care and upkeep is the most important thing that we can do for her and to keep her healthy. They were kind and circuitous to us as they examined her and they contacted us when we were supposed to take her in for her yearly check up. This was just a week ago and when I said that I moved, they directed me to a closer location and told us that they would transfer her records for Pickles to the Pasadena VCA Clinic which is only 15 minutes from our home instead of an hour. She'd be very mad at us if we packed her into the car and drove her for two hours and took her to the vet in between trips. So we stick with VCA Animal Clinic. They give our cat and us what we need to be comfortable with her health and welfare. Thanks VCA!

This is definitely the place to go to , they love animals and treat them as they were their own pets . My merle frenchie gets the royal treatment as he should when we stop by for our check ups. Have been coming to this specific location for almost 3 years now .

I took my dog to the hospital on July 2nd due a serious diarrhea. The vet was really king with my pet and successful with the treatment indicated. My dog started to recover as she said. All of the staff is nice, professional and make that pet and owner feel confident. I highly recommend VCA Kelliwood Hospital.

Took Jelly bean for her first heath exam. The Dr was awesome with her and gave us a lot of information on training our pup. The girls in the front desk and the vet assistant were a delightful and made us feel welcomed. Will definitely be bringing our puppy back!

I love this clinic. The doctors are wonderful and the support staff is great. I have two Dogs and each time they are treated I get a follow up call or text the next day from the doctor checking up on them or asking if I have any questions.
