My large Tuxedo broke his leg and needed emergency treatment. $500 or goodbye is what I heard at the front desk, I had to capitulate. He was taken right away and I was led to a room to wait. Naturally nothing he needed was covered in that $500 so another $480 later they tell me $4200 to amputate his leg, and didn't tell me it would be another $90 to change his bandage the next day. This is larceny, exploiting your feelings for your animals. Yes nothing is free but let's face it, this is beyond reasonable. I was able to get my cat the surgery for less than $1000. He is recovering well for all concerned. Management has made the false attempt to show concern but it has been a false fake attempt to deceive you readers. They will steal you blind because you love your animals.

Worst place to go to, I have my cat Tom who had a catheter placement which cost about 4,000$ with medication that doesn’t even work. Till this day my cat is mad and irritated and won’t stop going to bathroom. The service was only good the first time, don’t fall for it they do it so they can take your money. If you are reading this go to a different one immediately before u waste a ton of money on nothing. Service was really bad after the first, they disrespected my mom the second time and not greeting her well. COST WAY TO MUCH LEAVE BEFORE U ENTER. Hope they can read this and see other comments with it.

If I could give ZERO stars I would. This place is the most inhumane animal hospital I have ever been too. Brought my dog here and had to pay the 500.00 just to be seen. Later the dr comes in and tells us it will be $4,000 to figure out what is wrong with her. Highly recommend to go elsewhere.

My 15 year old snowshoe couldn't breath well, she was going to die. They immediately gave her a shot and put her in an Oxygen room. We were broke and they did the Oxygen treatment for free and told us everything we could by elsewhere cheaper. Only got the meds there that we had to in order to save her life. Dr. Castro was very companionate. Everyone was wonderful and waited for me to stop crying to speak with me. All emergency hospital treatments are expensive but they really did their best to help and literally saved my cats life. I highly recommend this place.

Worst experience ever. Had to put my cat down :( because I didn't have the money to treat him and this place does not work with you at all. They are the most expensive animal place I have ever been too. The staff there have no compassion. I understand you have to pay for your services but who has $5000 in your pocket. So I didn't have the money to pay them so I had to put him to sleep. When you go here make sure you have big money in your pocket

The overnight team is amazing! They helped my puppy out in a time of stress and all were so nice and caring! They brought her back right away and took great care of her!! Having to take your puppy to the hospital is never fun but they eased my mind throughout the whole visit. Highly recommend!!

My wife brought my dog in to have him neutered. Did a couple of tests the first time, said we need to take another urine sample, and finally neutered him on the third visit. It cost somewhere between $200-$300 per visit and $588 for the final step. I’m spending close to $1000 just to neuter him. Staff are always friendly, but definitely expensive.

We had to take our English bulldog in because she was bloated really bad. Dr Martinez was really clear at explaining stuff and went over prices before doing anything and was really sweet and gentle to our dog. Fixed the problem within a few hours. No complaints

VCA doctors & techs provided compassionate service when I had to put my cat to sleep. She was diagnosed with a terminal illness that was not curable. Thank you for taking care of us!!

After waiting for hours at other vets with our visibly sick dog, this place quickly took our dog in, in seconds. Staff was very attentive of us and explained everything well. Doctor Medoro continued to check up on our dog the day after :)

Came here after hours when my vet was already closed for the day after my dog had eaten an unknown length of string that could've possibly had a needle attached to it and was still hanging out of her mouth & I was too scared to attempt to get it myself. Long story short, I had just recently purchased property and was pretty broke.. the vet saw her and was able to safely remove the string. They quoted x-ray prices to me if I wanted them to check for a needle, but I couldn't afford it. When the vet heard that she had the receptionist refund my office visit$ incàse I needed it for her to get x-rays elsewhere and then told me what to watch for with my fur baby before sending me on my way free of charge. I have never had a veterinarian show such care and concern for. It was pricey, bit convenient, open 24 hours, and so caring. I'll never forget what they did for me. You have no idea how much I appreciated that and how helpful it was. Thanks VCA!!

I took my dying dog there to see if he can get checked up, but the front desk lady pushed us away because he didn't look severely ill, however, he was dying. I asked her what severe looked and she just couldn't answer me fast enough because she was thinking what to say, she turned us down with out checking my dog,so then she recommended other places for me to go, so I did. Once I arrived at the other hospital, they took my dog in right away and he ended up dying. My problem with this place was that they dis not care about my dying dog, she told me he looked fine. This place does not care, because if they did, they would have admitted him. Hes gone now.

Came home to find our dog Stella had broken a window and split her entire paw open. She was bleeding profusely so we searched the nearest emergency vet and came here. Dr Liebl did the procedure to repair her foot and kept us constantly updated and informed. He did a amazing job with her surgery and somehow repaired her paw. For the next few weeks we had to come back to get bandage changes Dr Liebl and Dr Martinez (there were many more but can’t remember All the names) kept us updated and helped us out so much. Everyone here helped save Stella’s paw and we are so grateful to them

We rushed my dying dog here and they wanted a $500 emergency deposit to do anything for her right there.. then as treatments were in the works they gave me an estimated HIGH bill that I had to pay FIRST for them to save my dog… what kind of money hungry business is this?! A worker legitimately told me “You would have to pay this first or the only other option is to put her down”This is was my first and very last experience with this place. They wanted money over saving my dog. My dog ended up dying, there was nothing I could do.. I have never been to a vet that was like this, and I hope I never have to experience such a horrible place again..

Dr Medoro and staff, My wife and I can't thank you enough for your efforts on Friday for Wiggy. While it didn't end the way everyone hoped, you all allowed him a chance but unfortunately he was just too far gone. From the updates from Dr Medoro with literally every question we could have asked she answered, the social worker Zach who gave us time to digest what we were dealing with and allowing us to plan financially and finally the rest of the staff for being there with him in his time of need. I know this wasn't an easy case from start to finish with all that occured. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for your compassion and professionalism. We will definitely recommend you in the future to those in need of a higher level of care. Thank you again. Austin and Stephanie Collings

I recently took my 2 dogs, Kobe, a 13.5 year old yellow lab, and Blaze, an 8.5 year old black and white border collie mix to VCA Metroplex Animal Hospital & Pet Lodge for a 5 day stay. This was the first time that I've used VCA. Blaze has many allergies to trees and grass, and weeds, and chicken. I gave this information to VCA. I also took 10 cups of Blaze's salmon and rice food and Apoquel medicine for his skin allergies. I also informed them he has bilateral ACL tears. Blaze went in with a blue collar and a choke collar, with name tag. Kobe has no special issues other than being old, anxious, a little senile. He went in with a camouflage collar and name tag. When I picked my dogs up, Blaze was brought out with his blue collar only, which he quickly escaped from. Kobe was brought out with his camouflage collar, and Blazes choke collar. Next morning, I awoke to Blaze having had diarrhea on a couple of rugs in our entry way, and he continued to have diarrhea for a week. Then, the morning after that, I awoke to Kobe having had diarrhea all over carpet in my bedroom, office and living room. He also had diarrhea for a week. That first morning after they got home, I noticed that Kobe's collar was loose, so I took it off to adjust it. I now notice that the name tag on Kobe's camouflage collar said "Blaze" and then, of course, I took off Blaze's collar and it had Kobe's name tag on it. Now, it all made sense. It became obvious to me that Kobe was given Blaze's salmon food and allergy med, and Blaze more than likely, was given chicken food. When I contacted VCA, and explained what had happen, they took absolutely no responsibility for this.

My yorkie Charlie was hit by a car late at night and sadly died on impact.. I know it wasn't a true emergency as he had already passed but my family and I were extremely distraught and I wanted to take him in after hours to schedule a private cremation. Without hesitation the staff welcomed us after hours and gave us our options. It did put our hearts more at ease to leave him there. I've used VCA in the past with other emergencies and I've always felt I can trust them. The staff is professional and compassionate. VCA has been a comfort for me in our most difficult and uncertain moments. Thank you VCA.

Im very hurt by the way the vet office personally handle the death of my dog. The lady told me right off the bat, that i dont know whats wrong with my dog and that i havent took a blood test.no, of course i havent. She alsosaid she needs $500. Why would someone ask for money at a time like that. I have so much more to say, but want be that person. Why would anyone be like that???

We took our 10 year old English Labrador to this facility at 10pm he stayed overnight etc drained fluid from his heart giving us more cherished days with our Dog. Dr. Tiffany Green was amazing. Her depth of medical knowledge, precision, detail & unwavering patience to stay with us and answer each question was exceptional and phenomenal. Each individual we came in contact with ((receptionists, assistants) were sympathetic, empathetic, kind and very helpful. Patricia H.

I boarded my dogs here for two days and was charged for 3. They didn’t tell me about a 2 pm pickup time when I made the reservation and said it was on the form my husband signed when he dropped the dogs off. 250$ for boarding two dogs for two days is ridiculous. Also I had my dogs there for shots last week and it was almost a thousand dollars. They take advantage of the customers sit.

The VETs are acceptable but this facility has gone from a small caring pet community to a dollar hungry business. They over book pet appointments and since we love our furry children so much I have waited up to an hour almost two to have my pet examined. They are a nightmare to work with concerning prescriptions their motto is it to return calls within 24 to 48 hours forget it! The line for returning calls concerning medication ? never got a call back. They charge a 30$ dispensing fee for medication even though my pet was never in their hospital. If you know the name of their CEO I would like to know his /her name. This is true of the facility located in Irving, Texas.

The receptionist was so rude when asked how much it would be for our dog to be seen, she had an attitude for no reason. She also lied to us telling us telling us it would be a “2 hour wait” when really we only ended up waiting about 30 min. It seemed like she just wanted us to leave? She was not welcoming at all. However, the doctor was very nice professional and informative. I feel like they were a bit pricey since all our dog ended up needing was antibiotics. We paid 530 for our visit.

They are so money hungry this is the worst place ever , they misdiagnosed our puppy and claimed he had seizures, while all he had was an ear infection , it is overly priced and they do not care about your fur babies. They gave him medication that continued to make him worse. I can not stress it enough all these people want is money they are the worst.

IN RESPONSE to the manager ALLEN it’s so disappointing to see such poor leadership. Reflected in multiple reviews and experiences of the public. I REFUSE to email you which seems to be your go to response to our many grievances. You surely have this copied to paste. My resolution is above your head. As you told me, I’m so sorry THEY DON'T CARE. I went to this facility this morning at 1 AM after my chihuahua suffered what appeared to be a stroke. When I got in they took her to the back and stated they were going to get vitals and start doing testing. I was asked my name, phone number, address and email to where they could send info and invoices. I provided that information. I was told that the initial fee was $150 to even begin this process. I explained to the receptionist that my debit card was recently compromised and I had not received my new one yet. I had no debit card on me and even while the funds were in my account, at 1AM there was no bank open to withdraw money from. At that point the receptionist went to the back to tell the technician to return my puppy to me. I offered my bank account #'s, Zelle, CashApp and they said the only way they could see my puppy is if I were to text a credit card # to them or apply for a loan. The technician returned my puppy to me and stated that she was having nystagmus and to keep her head upright to help relieve pressure. My puppy died 30 minutes later.
