I took a disc dog seminar with Andrea Rigler this weekend. It was amazing. Great facility with awesome training.

We've been taking our dogs here when we go out of town for the past 4 years. The staff are always happy and pleasant. Our dogs get excited when we pull into the parking lot and never show signs of distress when we pick them up. We highly recommend Starmark!

This was our first time leaving our pup for boarding and unfortunately it will be our last. He stayed for 3 nights while we were out of town and within those three nights, he acquired Kennel cough. After reading previous reviews about dogs coming home sick, there is obviously a lack of effort in making sure you keep these kinds of things from happening. The staff was pleasant but our pups health comes first.

I hate to say anything bad bc everybody was nice, and who likes poor reviews? I sure don’t. 1:) I paid for 10 sessions of dog training and my dog still bites and chews on everybody and doesn’t listen very well. (5 months old) 2.) he ended up contracting mange from here. 3.) the whole time I saw nothing but what looked like high school kids working there. Which I know high school kids can do great but communication was poor from the beginning on where to drop him of, who to call. Etc. But as mentioned everybody was super friendly so that’s something.

Pricey though and not open on Sundays.

ZERO STARS if we could. Where to start…since it appears that they respond to negative reviews let’s hope they reach out to Macs owners and show a little compassion for what their negligence has caused. After 3 weeks into his 4 week stay Mac the Great Dane has a punctured lung caused by untreated pneumonia. They state he had diarrhea and began vomiting. Vet informs That’s what caused the pneumonia. Mac was swallowing his throw up and it went into his lungs and caused the pneumonia. Now Why did they fail to inform my cousins right away? Received updates Monday’s on Week 1 and Week 2. Week 3 nothing on Monday. Nothing on Tuesday. Wednesday they finally call and say he’s sick. Sick is an understatement. Lethargic, falling over, unable to stand, difficulty breathing. Jennifer the “operation managers” response…”Any dog can get sick”. Not once have they reached out to check on Mac. He is still at the vets office while the money is gathered to pay for surgery and hopefully save his life. There are laws that protect our 4 legged babies and best believe this doesn’t end with a negative review on Google. Please do not bring your babies here. Aside from google review we need to be reporting them to the BBB people. Someone needs to be held accountable for this.

Amazing and trustworthy place for your loved ones

We picked up our Australian Cattle Dog today, and I have to brag! Kyle is our trainer, and I have already recommended him to my friends for training. Our Dingo has been so well behaved since being home, and he has been listening to all of his commands. I’m incredibly impressed. During our hour long follow up session today, Kyle was very thorough with explaining commands and everything that he taught him. I could also tell that he developed a very special bond, and we definitely look forward to future training and/or play time. Thank y’all again so much.

We are in the puppy preschool and love it. Our puppy enjoys the class and our instructor has been super helpful. We do group classes to help with socialization and highly recommend it.

Hard workers in the warehouse department

These people are amazing. Saved our butts twice now with last minute boarding. Price can't be beat. It's a ways out of our way, but I don't know that I'll use anyone else. The pups are always super excited when we pull in.

My German Shepard lost wait when I took her to the vet because she was noticeably uncomfortable . The vet said she had internal bruising. And she contracted kennel cough . They did not once tell me she was sick . Because of the no contact thing I don’t know what my baby has been through . Please don’t bring your dog expecting a parodies

We adopted a quarantine pup in April and noticed he had aggression towards bikes, scooters, motorcycles, skateboards, etc. We were really concerned because it was impossible to walk him. We started working with Jagger and really enjoyed our training sessions with him. He's very knowledgeable and clearly loves dogs! He made himself very available and we were able to email or call which we did often. We talked to people in Austin who were at least double the cost, and couldn't provide some of the amenities that Starmark could like training him in a pool, or working with other dogs. Jagger was also very accommodating and had us bring a bike to work on training. Our dog is conquering his fears of things with wheels, he's growing more comfortable in water, and we really liked how Jagger explored lots of options with us. He emphasized the importance of basic commands, recall, and those foundational skills, while seemingly not helpful with bikes, have proven useful! We loved working with Jagger, felt we got great value, training, and aren't worried about our dog anymore.

Justine is all of these qualities and more! She is AMAZING! She enjoys her job and you see that shine through. I am never intimated to ask a question but encouraged! I love that she is willing to show me what and how to do the activity! Starmark is so lucky to have this professional young woman as a trainer! I want to bring my puppy back and continue her training with Justine.

My dog came home with pneumonia from untreated Kennel cough. He had his Bordetella but I realize these things happen. What I am upset about is when we saw him we knew immediately that he was not feeling well. His nose was super runny and he looked lethargic. He also was EASILY winded. Why did no one notice this and call? Not to mention if he had kennel cough other dogs were at risk. Justine, as a trainer, was great no complaints with training but definitely not happy about the "care" of my dog or the maintenance of the kennels. We found out that a friend of ours had the same experience, her dog came home from Starmark with Kennel Cough. I would recommend the training. I would be cautious about boarding for a month. The training has cost us double as we are in over $1k for x-rays, breathing treatments, antibiotics and vet visits

Dog trainer Justine Alvarado did wonders for our dog. Frankie is the name of our dog. Justine has transformed a super hyper puppy to a mild manner pup. Starmark entire process was very professional and the staff is knowledgeable, courteous, professional and friendly. Justine kept us in the loop with Frankie advancements in his training. When we picked up Frankie he was change for the better and Justine trained us on how to continue training. My wife and I give Justine and Starmark A+++. Great work, keep it going!

They take great care of my Fur babies

I have Cane Corso's. One has a great temperament and the other is non confident, Judah. Justine, Starmark trainer has been amazing with Judah. Judah has come so far with the training that has been provided and the continual guidance from Justine. We are well pleased. We would recommend Justine to any Cane Corso owner for training. She is awesome!

My pups love this place.

My family recently got a new Mastador (Half Lab and Half English Mastiff) puppy in July. She is a big dog and was very wild. I work from home and was not able to get anything done because she would not listen and was constantly into things she should not be. I was frustrated and at a loss. I first strongly encourage anyone with a timid puppy to get your puppy into a puppy socialization class. This will get them use to people and other animals which is especially important. This helped my puppy with anxiety with other people and dogs, but it did not really establish any good training habits. This is when I finally contacted Justine Alvarado with Starmark in Hutto. She went over the various options for training they offer at the initial visit and the prices. I will admit I was sticker shocked and did not immediately sign up. I thought maybe I could try harder to train the puppy and save myself the money. Nope that did not happen. About a month and half later I called Justine back and signed my puppy up for the stay and train for 4 weeks. It ended up being the best decision I made. Justine established a great basis of training for my dog. Understand that a puppy is still a puppy and will try and get away with things at home after the training but with the training Justine provided she finally understands what I mean when I say down, sit, place, heal, etc. These commands have established a basis for me to build on. I am so grateful to Justine for the hard work she spent on my dog Emerald and will continue to go back periodically to get refresher trainings. I get lots of compliments on her behavior when I walk my dog. She enjoys me and I enjoy her. Thank you again for everything you do Justine.

We have been taking our standard poodle Hotchy to private training sessions with Justine. She is wonderful and very experienced. We have seen a huge improvement in Hotchy and cannot recommend her enough.

I would give Canine Starmark and our Certified Trainer and Behavior Specialist JUSTINE ALVARADO ten stars if I could. She was professional and thorough in the inital interview by listening to our concerns and explaining the different trainings to help us make an informed decision. She sent weekly updates and PHOTOS (which we really enjoyed). We received a video at the conclusion showing everything our dog had accomplished. Our dog now stays in her place, comes when called and the greatest feat is walking with her. She stays right at my side (not bolting ahead), nor will get distracted by animals or people. We could not be more pleased with Starmark and Justine!
