TLDR: absurd markups, minimal face-time with the actual veterinarian I’ve been to this facility before for annual checkups on both of my dogs before, so when my dog began having diarrhea/anorexia/vomiting, I booked a sick visit here. We checked in, and I went over why we were there with two different people (neither of them were the actual vet). Then, after waiting in an exam room, my dog was taken to a different area without me to be examined. I still had not even seen or spoken to the vet at this point. Then, after about 30 mins the tech brought my dog back in, and the vet finally came in to speak with me. She essentially said that she thinks it’s probably a gastroenteritis and wanted to prescribe antibiotics as well as probiotics. When I asked what the probiotics contained, she said that she didn’t know. I was then given a quote for a tube of probiotic gel for $100. I was quickly able to find this exact gel available on Amazon for $28. That’s more than a 200% markup. For an institution that claims to provide “affordable vet care”, I find this to be ridiculous. We got the antibiotics from the vet, and I ordered the probiotics online. There’s no reason for this level of markup. Situations like this make it difficult for people to seek and obtain the care for their animals that they require.

My 1st time to use this location. Check in was smooth and the staff was freindly with and the doctor/ vet was very nice and informative. Yes I would recommend.

I took my cat here a few times and all the vet did was diagnoses and refused to give medication for my sick cat. I asked for a refund for a test was never completed and all they said was to contact the manager and the manager never got back to me. I am very unhappy with the service that I got here by the vet and still haven’t received my refund and it been 3 weeks now. I will never cat any of my pets here again and I will take my cat to a new vet.

Called asking if they take walk-ins. Front office said they did. Brought sick cat out and when we arrived the front office went to ask the doctor if they would see us and the doctor refused 25 minutes after they said they could work us in that day. Doctor refused to come out and speak with me in person, hiding back in her office. Unnecessarily stressed a sick animal and waisted my time. Do yourself a favor is any other vet. Could not recommend less.

I almost never leave reviews, but our treatment was so unacceptable at Thrive. I called the office as soon as they opened on Sunday morning to see if they would take walk ins to see my cat who had suddenly gotten sick. They confirmed they did on the phone and we loaded up our cat and drove the 25 minutes to see them. When we got there, they told us that the doctor had decided they wouldn’t be seeing any walk ins today and that they wouldn’t be able to help us. We drove our sick and crying cat there and back (over an hour in the carrier) to not receive any care or medicine, even after their promise to work us in. I will NEVER go back to this vet and can’t recommend anyone else go.

Location isn’t convenient. Why are they open on Saturdays if no dr is available. The girl at the front desk seemed clueless. If we were able to talk to clinics directly and not have to go through a csr a trip wouldn’t be wasted and wrong information about drop offs wouldn’t be given.

I brought my dogs Zoe and Sage in for their well visits and treatments. Heather was amazing and Dr. Myles was fantastic. They explained everything, no pressure and great on advice. Definitely recommend them to anyone needing a place to take their fur babies.

During this time of COV-19, it is understandable that most business services would not be there best, but that is not the case with THRIVE Affordable Vet Care. My chihuahua mix Lucy was given the best treatment that any dog could ask for. THRIVE personnel explained everything that each vaccine was for, the medication she was given, and what we need to do at home to keep her healthy. The biggest highlight of my experience at THRIVE was the people that work there. Bethany and all the folks at Thrive Vet Care are earnest at providing the best care. Thank you; if Lucy could speak, she would tell you THRIVE is now part of her extended family.

Took my rescue for her first vet visit and received phenomenal service. Really liked the attention and care for my German Shepard. Dr. Hansen was able to answer all of my questions. We will be back next month!

My dog is very anxious and although, because of covid, there are no owners going into the back with their dogs, they still allowed me to help them get him on the scale to get an accurate weight. The people here really seem to care about the pups they see and my dog was returned to me looking extremely happy!

We took our cat to the Atascocita Location and we were not pleased with the visit. When I made the appointment I was told $30 for the appointment and if medicine was prescribed that would be an additional cost. Upon check in I was told I had to pay for a rabies vaccine if I could not prove that my cat had not had one and the last 12 months. I told them I was not informed that my cat would have to have a rabies shot. My cat is an indoor only cat which i tried to explain to them but it did not matter to them. Apparently it is mandatory and so they would not see my cat until I agreed to pay the $16. Then we saw Dr. Mary Sue McGovern, and all I can say is that this doctor was extremely rude and had terrible bedside manners. We thought the cat had a ringworm infection but the doctor said it was not in fact she said "what makes you think this is a ring worm?" Then was totally dismissive because I did not have any pet records with me. She was actually more concerned about making sure I had my mask positioned perfectly. I would never want her to examine my cat again. The nurse however was extremely kind (Ms. Holli). I would not recommend this location based on my personal experience.

Some friends suggested this place to us. We just got out puppy. WOW!!! we were very pleased. The vet called us directly. Asked if we had concerns, spoke of how sweet our new baby is. He came out very happy. I feel that they showed genuine concern and care for our pup. Thank you for keeping us informed and your VERY caring staff. ❤Vader and Thomas Family

This is our new vet and we are so happy. They gave our girl the time and attention necessary to correct the treatment of a severe ear infection negligently misdiagnosed by her former veterinary clinic. They care through their efforts and we're forever grateful!! 10-10 will never see anyone other than Dr. Leah Myles for their needs.

Front clerk gave good service, however I bought my dog here for a checkup & they charged $61. Did not even give her a proper check up nor did they cut her nails right. Never coming back here again! Do not bring your pets here unless you’re trying to get ripped off.

I have been here numerous times and each time I have had something wrong with my order. Last night we went through the drive thru and the took the order wrong and shorted us a burger. Did not realize till we got home. Had to drive back up there for them to fix it. Another time I was in the lobby eating and saw a woman waiting for a long time for someone to take her order. Working at a restaurant you should know not to leave your guests standing there while everyone is in the back. So I politely yelled that they have someone in the front. I felt bad because all the woman wanted to do was order a fountain drink.

So I know during covid things are weird right now but that is no excuse for how I was just treated. I set an appointment for 2:30 and was there on time and checked in like you are supposed to do. I waited for an hour in my car for them to tell me it was turn but they never did instead get a text saying I missed the appointment even though I checked in like I was told to do, so I finally got out the car with my cat and went inside to what was up immediately the girl at the front desk was dismissive when I told her I had been waiting for an hour she told me she will talk to me after she’s done with the other lady and basically shooed me off which I would have understood if she didn’t have an attitude off the bat with me. Another lady come in after me and got settled before me even I came in first she left and another women came in and same thing got seen before me. At this point I’ve been waiting a little over an hour and the employee won’t even acknowledge me. She finally tells me that since I missed my appointment I have to wait like a walk in but they don’t know how long that will be, so I’m asking if they messed up why am I still waiting like it was my fault. She tells me she doesn’t know but refuses to “go back and forth with me” so I say let me speak to someone else then like a manager she tells me there is no manager on right now they already left and everyone else is to busy to help me. Then she tells me to wait outside (it was about to storm the clouds were dark) even though I was there first, so I wait outside until it started pouring I go back inside and she is still refusing to get anyone saying I need to go back outside or back in my car I’ve been waiting 1 hour and 20 minutes now I’m on the phone with my mom trying to figure out what to do and she’s just mumbling under her breath listening to my conversation and finally get someone to come talk to me and she’s telling me it’s my fault and trying to confuse me saying I checked in wrong even though I followed all of the directions for the check in and I told her that they were Both going on and on it’s my fault and I need to keep waiting won’t listen to me refuses to anything. And during all of this what really got me is that that first girl was Hispanic the other lady that talked to me was white with purple hair and a piercing in her cheekbone and the other customers that came in were all white I’m black and was the only one that was told to wait outside in the rain they came in after me but I had to wait in the rain 2 other groups of people that were allowed to wait inside but I had to wait in the rain?! I was the only black person there and also the only told to wait in the rain both employees were so rude and had attitudes with me and were dismissive from the be very beginning my appointment was at 2:30 I checked in at 2:32 and finally left at 4:00 because they weren’t going to help me just continue to be racially biased towards me and you can say it wasn’t racist if you want to be ignorant but as a black women who has been discriminated against before I know what it looks like and how it feels and that was exactly what that was I will never return after this there should be no place for racism in America, Petco or Thrive I am disgusted and disappointed with who this was dealt with
